Today well be discussing the first Tales from the Crypt film.
Demon Knight (1995)
Ex-soldier Frank Brayker (William Sadler) is the guardian of an ancient key that can unlock tremendous evil; the sinister but charming Collector (Billy Zane) is a demon who wants the key so he can initiate the apocalypse. On the run from wicked mercenaries for almost 90 years, Brayker finally stops in at a boarding house in New Mexico where -- with the help of its quirky residents -- he plans to face off against the Collector and his band of ghouls, preventing them from ever seizing the key.

I saw this in the theater with my late father, I was 13ish. Both of us were blown away by the bombastic pacing and camera work and style, effects and sound effects. It was also quite gory for a somewhat mainstream theater film at that time in horror. it also looks way bigger a film than it is. Very energetic movie. And I agree, horror in one location is the best way to go. Great review ! I'm happy you covered this one

Tales from the crypt is still one of my favorites. I really want them to reboot it. Also, Death becomes her was supposed to be a tales from the crypt.
