Congratulations on the progress with such a small team! Very inspiring to see the improvements over the years.
The community is super helpful, probably one of the best I've ever seen.
@@yskwong All open source communities are extremely kind and helpful, to be fair.
1:36 it drives over the exit chevron which is potentially very dangerous and then at 1:42 it ends up half in the other lane. Another very dangerous manoeuvre.
In 2022.... This is 2024 with the Comma x3. I'll be getting it
Congratulations .This is a win not only for comma but for all mankind as well💯
Great job Comma team.
Love it when autonomous driving companies follow through on promises!
Tesla *_sweats intensely_*
@@Unkn0wnz_anon I actually think that’s why George Hotz resigned Twitter lol Elon realized he was a competitor and started acting weird… Time to go!
?? Where and when did we get this lol 😂 I still can’t make a 20min turn on basic road or not have to grab the wheel to avoid hitting a car in the lane next to me because it can’t center or handle slight turns. Sometimes does sometimes doesn’t lol. I don’t see a promise met at all years past and they made us one video where there went to tacobell and at one point you see him nearly miss sideswiping a car in an exit. And not to mention this taco is for one car only and that one in video is all. So no no promises met no taco by end of year. It’s no different then mark saying meta has legs and only find out that it was all cgi and they never had the feature. Just hopes of but faked it to make the sales. Same here. Exact same. Like I said been writing comma for a month with no reply so they will not support you after purchase I can promise that and even show screenshots of everything. Wanted to love this company but I only love the device. Not the owners or the community. Unfortunately. When I got my bolt euv joined a group best group of my life these people would give the shirt off their back for you. Then comma group I join and nothing but hate and toxicity. People ignore you tell you to know or learn yourself. It’s just a totally different beast. They will rip the shirt off your back before ever taking off their own and that is being nice. Lol. They kick you from the groups as well if they don’t agree with you or don’t want to help. I can also show that where I’ve been kicked out of these multiple times because that discord is all a powertrip ran by a hand full
@@DarkCloudVapors well. They said they would drive to taco bell without disengagement using open source code. They did that. I sympathize with your complaints though.
Not some Neuralink that's proven itself a SCAM from the very first date!
Great job comma team! The progress has been amazing over the past year!
1:42 that was dangerous.
I woulda grabbed wheel there lol 😂
Yep, near death experience.
"without a disengagement" Only if you believe those sketchy over the line curves are not an issue.
teslas also crash without disengagement 😂
@@user-wq9mw2xz3j And your point?
Technically, you didn't go to Taco Bell. I didn't see the car pull in and park . . . Just kidding. I'm just giving you guys a hard time.
This is VERY impressive! I bought a Comma 3 during 2021's Black Friday sale as an early Christmas present for myself. I have been addicted since day one. I cannot go back to traditional driving. I just enabled the Experimental mode last night to try out end-to-end longitudinal planning. Yes, it's not perfect, but it's still damn impressive. I'm very much looking forward to Comma's continued evolution and enhancements!
Impressive, still looks dangerous. Ate the center line @ 1:40, that was dangerous.
Amazing work! Now, to one-up Tesla's 2019 demo, I would love a member of the community to recreate this.
This is so awesome! I'm stoked that I just bought a Comma 3 a couple of weeks ago. Welcome to the future!
Bravo! I can’t wait to buy one of these units. You guys are doing great work, George
That is pretty awesome. I'd love to have this for my EV6.
Is the comma 3 hardware capable of checking for cross traffic at unprotected intersections or will there need to be a version 4?
Can it see to the left and right that far?
This is my question too.
A truly remarkable and monumental achievement on your journey to full autonomy. Congratulations to the comma team on your amazing work!
Huge effort Comma team! Absolutely inspiring work!
Congrats to the team! Been a C2 user since their release. My car doesn't support OP long but I'm still excited to see this achievement.
How are you a C2 user but your car doesn't support OP long? I am confused.
@@YesitisDex There a some cars that support OP long and some that do not. They have a handy chart on their website that shows each car's capabilities. In my case openpilot handles lateral control (steering) while my car's stock ACC system manages longitudinal control (gas/brake). The downside is that my car would never receive features such as stopping for stop signs or red lights because openpilot can't control the gas/brake. For some cars it's a matter of software development meaning future longitudinal control is possible but with others it is a hard limitation.
@@CH-eg5rd Got it. thank :)
Congrats, nice to see so much progress recently.
I wonder how many times they had to record this before they could have a run where they didn't need to stop for a pedestrian, because Comma doesn't detect pedestrians.
It's end to end machine learning, it doesn't detect them on purpose but if people stop for them in it's training data, then it will stop for them as well.
Same with traffic cones for example.
1:54 incredible turn!
Keep up the good work Comma team! Appreciate the hard work and please keep posted on the progress. Thanks!
everything including background music = cyberpunk af!
Next, we get cyberpunk streaming to, devices
So impressive guys. I've been thinking for a while to add this to my parents Lexus as they've been dying for an aid while driving cross country. I'm gonna pick one of these up today
60% of the time, it works every time
And now I'm definitely buying one. Thanks for your work!
Can't believe they finally did it!
Wow, so this is the future. Thanks Comma team! Incredible.
mental! so great to see geohotz go through with his plan!
Congrats! That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind...
thats insane, comma has to be number 2 in the race to FSD behind tesla and from a small team, very impressive. i would think if they sold the company and tech to a known car brand easy 10 figures
Noticed that is running HDA II. Two cables to the Comma 3.
The trim level they purchased is indeed HDA II, but the second cable goes to a Red Panda, required for all CAN-FD cars, not just HDA II.
Excellent work team! open source ftw
I was here for this history!
Wow, this is awesome!! Well done Comma Team! Love the EV6 interior!!
Looks awsome. I would prefer to see the video in its original speed.
Grats to comma team! My Shazam is failing to find the name of this music! any idea?
Copyright free stranger things rip off #56, just kidding
There you go!
I personally see a lot of value in a "help me learn" feature, taking into account driver inputs to learn.
This is so cool!
Remarkable achievement towards FSD, Thank You and well done Comma team!
Wow, this looks as good as the Tesla FSD RUclipsr videos.
Amazing job guys! My next car will be Kia EV9 I believe would work best with comma ai. Love it and can't wait to get one soon.
What's the sound track?
The speedo says your doing normal legal speeds but the car seems to be overtaken by everything around it. If it truely works,it’s brilliant
they drive fast in sd
Bet you are glad i recommended comma ai for the kia 😊
OMG! In Kia Niro EV?? It works? Great job guys!!!!
I hooked up my Tesla with this Comma AI thing, the two autopilots tried to compete with each other xD
Comma going make billionaires
My comma 3. Not even stop at stop light. Can't imagine if it drive like this. Is this a fault advertising video ?
in 10 years we might have somewhat self driving in a mapped out area
Excellent work team! comma champion!!
I need this for my aygo x will it be available
This is what FSD should look like. Fuck fancy status symbol cars.
Question: How does the system know it is safe to switch lanes if the primary navigation camera only looks forward?
i want one but idk if it supports my BMW, its a 2011-2012 BMW 335D i also have a 2011-2012 BMW X5 35D, would love the support for those two cars they are my gas saving cars.
Either way thank you for what you have done you are a incredible person with a backbone, i appreciate you for giving me jailbreaking rights for my devices and not to mention this new badass project you have is really nice, I hope you keep doing things like this, you make the world a better place by doing so
I know what I’m getting for Christmas! (IONIQ5 with HDA2 owner)
Wow, great job Comma AI team! What is the next challenge?
Pretty sketchy but still amazing progress for a small open source project
Pretty impressive... 0_0
And welcome home George ! :D
Great stuff, Why did the car choose to drive on the left lane on 0:53 instead of staying on the right lane where it later goes back to ?
The blog post talks about how simple the lane changes on nav are right now. To avoid staying in an exit only lane the car will go one lane over when entering a highway. And when exiting it will go as far over as possible. I think that is what's happening here.
@@dust7138 Thank you so much for clearing me up
Remarkable progress. Congrats!
Yea now try to make it through the Taco Bell drive thru without curbing the wheels. Boss Fight
The progress is remarkable!
Get those manufacturers to start shipping comma with their cars! Comma could be the next open source "Android"! Try to get it running on the silicon shipped by the manufacturers!
I hope that the software and equipment can support more vehicle models in the future, such as Toyota's veloz and Toyota's avanza models, which are the most popular in Asia and have the largest number, but the equipment does not have this option, which is a pity.
?!!?!? Sorely disappointed. I was expecting it to do a "I am here start making it" order and drive you through the drive thru. 😀 😁 End-to-end only counts if food is actively being handed to you through your window. Also, I will be anticipating Comma's unlimited burrito plan for a monthly fee. 😆
Wait…it can take exits and handle intersections on its own‽ Like I could set a destination, and it would just do most of the driving‽.
Congrats!! Can u do the same with a Corolla? A once GH said as the best car, out-of-the-box, for Open Pilot. Just wondering, as I've stopped following comma's work after the release of C3.
Love it. So it follows navigation? Where can I buy this?
As a previous comma ai user switched to Tesla, I sincerely hope comma ai can create a solution that works on teslas as well! Good job!
What solution do you like better? Autopilot (not FSD) or openpilot?
Now do this in Boston during rush hour
Impressive... Very nice...
Are there plans to add more cameras, without me camera support you can't change lanes safely
Just received my Comma 3; waiting for the mount to cure.
does a user need to adjust any of the setting to get all these specs with their Comma 3? How did it know when to change lanes etc.
So I am going to convert a 1967 Fastback to electric, do you think the autopilot will work on that?
Well done 😎
Congrats, this is awesome!
Congratulations, will this also work in europe? This is an Autopilot and not that what Tesla said...
Awesome work fellas
I recommend turning off ads and releasing a version in real time
They actually did it!
I might actually have to buy one now...
The technology is impressive but surly I'm not the only one to judge regarding the food choice.
Wow that's impressive! No steering limit? What's the model and year thanks!
Wow! Since when are they are able to make left and right turns?
Great work Comma team!!
is Comma ever going to have a towing (ex caravan) mode?
Awesome love you guys. Bless you.
Bună ce preț are și unde se poate face comanda
great job! one question. any particular reason why the speed is so slow?
It would make so much since to make the system work with wireless android auto and the cameras a much smaller or invisible like fitcamx I'd easily pay 3k for that
Does it activate the turn signals without human pushing the lever?
dude I'm sorry, but the exact path was known for 10 months and probably they put this path a million times in the training data. Plus the amount of "tricks" the car has to do to get there is not impressive compared to the competition.
Congrats 🌮!
Congrats!! How did your car get on the highway without you nudging the steering wheel? Does comma 3 have true 360 vision now? Is this available in experimental mode in my c3? I have so many questions! 😂
Check out the blog post
Changing lanes into and out of exit-only lanes requires long distance understanding of nav instructions and lane information. Since the nav model currently lacks that input, we used some simple heuristics around the nav instructions to tell the model when to lane change:
After passing an on-ramp, lane change once to avoid a potential exit-only lane.
When approaching an exit, lane change in the direction of the oncoming exit until no adjacent lanes are visible.
These two heuristics are undeniably not robust to the variety of exits and highways in the field. In the future, we plan to give the nav model enough context to suggest lane changes coming up to an exit.
@@teslag358xh2 That's like Tesla-level trickery.
Hopefully you got a beefy 5 layer burrito to celebrate
How does Comma know to change lanes? It only has a front camera, not a rear one
There's actually a driver monitoring camera that can see in the cabin, and somewhat out the windows. OpenPilot also pulls data from your cars blindspot monitoring if it has it. All of this allows it to safely decide when to make a lane change.
Impressive, most impressive
Great job now make an update for Ford transit
can we jailbrek the device for changing speed limit
