    • @sunduckjo
      @sunduckjo 5 месяцев назад

      Openpilot on many cars provides cold control from 0(3) mph including speed control, stop and go, but on Honda Fit, Freed, Pilot etc. where the Honda Nidec sits it only takes control at 25 mph and the "Comma Pedal" takes the system to a modern level. You can search for the video “Comma pedal Honda” on RUclips, it clearly shows... I have Honda Freed (Japan car for Japan market in European country)))

    Wow, 100k miles of OpenPilot. What a great review. I just found this product today and it's pretty much what I want for my new Rav4. The lane assist is terrifying in it's ping ponging so I never use it. At high speeds it does little more than give me massive anxiety. The adaptive cruise control is really an aggressive breaker, where the Honda Sense stuff is much better at detecting cars further out. I use the cruise all the time though, it's still very good. But a car that can drive me places when I don't really want to.... well we have a winner!

    Toyota's safety sense 3.0 is pretty good. A LOT better then 2.0. I was able to drive on just regular streets with minimal input. Its not as good as Tesla's FSD but if you're doing regular HWY driving then its a game changer.

    • @azerogliev6520
      @azerogliev6520 Месяц назад +1

      Not only TSS3.0 is good, but it can adjust car position in lane using BSM while you or car in next lane passing on highway. This is crucial for safety. Comma x3 can't do that.

    • @krispyywombat7382
      @krispyywombat7382 6 месяцев назад +1

      They've made it sound like it won't be there at launch, but should come some time after. I imagine it's all about timing, and they also made it seem like it'd be easily retrofitted onto cars that don't have it. The wiring would already be there, and it'd be more or less removing your old rearview mirror and installing the new one equipped with open pilot.

    • @sunduckjo
      @sunduckjo 5 месяцев назад +2

      Ordering C3X with Openpilot separately and receiving it even earlier than Aptera does not seem to be any problem. Is it another matter when you have Aptera LE marked on your calendar? At Comma Con last summer, the company’s founder said that the hardware capacity of Comma 3X would be enough for another 2 years of Openpilot development. If the delivery time of your Aptera LE is not earlier than autumn-winter 2025, then you can buy a C3X with a cable for your current car to enjoy autonomous driving now, and when the Aptera is on its way to your home, simply buy an additional cable compatible with Aptera for $200. You might even get it for free as an early adopter.
