If you notice Alexis always got along with Jeff very nicely. I remember her mentioning remembering him as a kid playing in the yard with Fallon or something like that
She always had a special place in her heart for Jeff, she always thought of him as her son as well, that was yet another reason Adam despised Jeff, to him Jeff was another rival like Steven, but unlike Steven, Jeff didnt mind going toe to toe with Adam.
She seemed to but…later in this episode she assures Adam that if Jeff becomes a threat, she’ll destroy him. And, despite some pretenses at regret, she went along with and made the most of Adam poisoning him. Then in S4 she attempted to wreck him financially (along with Blake). Alexis’ ‘love’ for people was never a match for her true love: money. It was her ‘leit motif’ as Krystle put it in the S3 cliffhanger (once again annoying Alexis by always seeing through her bullshit).
@@petecholewinski8602 Well - Alexis didn;t accept Adam's plan with poisoning Jeff, yes, she helped cover up it but that's not the same. And when she tried destroy Blake in season 4, she offered Jeff (her "former future son in low") return to CoblyCo.
I remember how Adam (a new actor) risked it all to save Jeff in the Reunion series and confessed the truth about his dirty schemes. He has become such a mature person by the end of the series.
I have never seen such massive champagne glasses! Then in the following clip we have cut crystal. Why aren't there matching glasses? Strange - unless of course Alexis chose those for effect?😾
+gabriele poletti That would have been awesome, especially considering Kirby started off as a mere butler's (pardon me, *majordomo's*) daughter, a servant's offspring! Having her be the one who steals ColbyCo from Alexis would have been quite the twist! :D
Adam really was only truly effective during his first season; what he brought to the story with his addition and the demons that came with it drove most of the story for the third season. But after that, he was reduced to "type". He didn't have the masculinity to one day inherit Blake's place as top dog, and he didn't have the earthiness that crept behind Alexis' vengeful veneer that saved her from being unredeemable; instead, Adam just smirked, sneered and schemed, making him look like an emasculated drama queen, the Shakespearian Dark Prince pose he liked to cut in the background never really making him much of a threat in later years other than just a temperamental mommy's boy. I always felt they never really knew what to do with Adam after the third season.
It did seem like they toned down his character but then the writing for everyone sucked after Season 4. Had Fallon & Kirby stayed, that would have been an interesting rivalry between the couples. Adam most definitely had the goods to be a top dog and was regaining that spot when Season 5 opened. After that, it was all over the place. Amanda, missing Fallon, too many side characters no one cared about. Then the ultimate shark jumper - Moldavian massacre. 🤪
Colby Co was a much larger company and empire than Denver Carrington. in the failed hostile takeover attempt in Season Six, Blake needed a billion dollars, so that he could buy up a controlling block of Colby Co stock, and takeover the company, and fire Alexis as CEO. Of course, Alexis out witted him, and financially ruined Blake!!!!
Oh, Donna! If, you had followed Dynasty, faithfully, you would know that Alexis, lost quite alot of money, on business deals, that went wrong, for her, especially in Season nine, she lost tens of millions of dollars, on bad junk bonds, and seven oil tankers, at auction, that her cousin, Sable Colby, usurped from her!! And, she almost lost all, of Colbyco, in a lawsuit to Sable Colby, but blackmailed her way, out of it!
Oh my God. I am and always will be a fan of Dynasty but as I watch this scene again it strikes me how bad the acting is. Even Joan Collins, trained and veteran actress that she was even at that time, is giving a bad performance. Maybe these actors didn't get a chance to rehearse?
DYNASTY! BIG hair, BIG cars, BIG jewels, BIG homes 🏰 . OTT excessive marvelous guilty pleasure! 🏆. As Norma Desmond might say, The TV shows got small 🤔. The reboot was good but not quite as good as the original. Now even that is gone, replaced by insipid so called reality and game shows! 🤮. What ever happened to CLASS? 😎

I love Alexis's penthouse! Adam is devious but Gordon Thomson plays him to perfection! Awesome scene!
These men had good hair back then...
It was the 80's, everyone had good hair back then, I know I was there 😂
Adam mastered the look of contempt.
Always so deliciously evil. I remember hating him so much back in the day but just goes to show how good an actor he was at portraying the villain.
If you notice Alexis always got along with Jeff very nicely. I remember her mentioning remembering him as a kid playing in the yard with Fallon or something like that
Alexis low key wanted Jeff to pip her down wink wink

What a wonderful scene! And everything and everyone looks gorgeous
Jeff always knew just how to get under Adam's skin...

Alexis's hair is perfect!
It's bad enough that Alexis serves burned champagne, but then she serves it in the incorrect type of glass.
Alexis was "New Money". She came from a rough background and slept her way to the top...but you can't take the Hood out of the girl!
A martini glass doesn't hurt..a flute would be better .. drastically
Boy, aren't we the connoisseur snob. If you don't like, don't drink it. À glass is a glass, whether it is a flute, coupe or a jelly jar
That necklace! Probably security guards all over the set.
Or much more probably paste stones... That's a TV show.
Wrong, they used real jewels. Rented or loaned out, but real
Alexis' outfit, as Always😍
Notice how Adam doesn't sip his drink after the toast, thus further showing his reaction to Jeff's decision...
Alexis looks fabulous here
i would love to own every outfit of Alexis's that didn't have shoulder pads (such as this one) and most of her jewellery
Alexis loved Jeff
The size of those glasses are beyond ridiculous.
Adam seems so uptight and Alexis barely notices. She is just very loving toward Adam and it seems to temporarily sooth his uptightness a bit.
She love him because he act like her
@@phatgirl2121 Adam Is The Male Version Of Alexis. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🎯🎯🎯🎯🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love how jeff got Adam's goat
that not all he got from adam. Heee He Heeeee
gorden thompson and John James Sammy good actors
I would love to see Adam and Jeff get close
I was just thinking the exact same thing. That would've been epic/legendary.
They Always hates each other
I'd rather see Jeff and Steven get close.
@@ivorytower99 My thoughts exactly!
Beautiful men!
Those glasses are HUGE.
And then the poisoned paint plot was hatched...
boy is adam jealous of jeff
adam wants to do jeff.
Ha ha ha lol, Adam cracks me up “WHAT??” Ha 😅
Wow that necklace.
What was that, champagne in cocktail glasses?
Savages! 🍷🍾🍷😏🍷🍾
How boorish. How shameful. I hope it wasn't burnt too!
I thought they were drinking martinis until I read the comments here.
Jeff Knew How To Shake Things Up With Adam And With Miles On The Colbys
“HHHHWHAT”
Adam and Jeff in a three way would be great!
That's what Kirby thought!

Yummy! Both Alpha, so a little intense but....😂
2:40 sounds like background scoring from 1950s movies...!So makes me feel trilled...!
Adam: WHOOO-WAT?
Why they eyes is red??
All that Coke back in the day

I like the idea Kyrby came back as new Alexis and steal ColbyCO from her

gosh Adam is tedious!
From the very beginning Gordon Thompson played Adam like a petulant and snippy gay man. Who would have been surprised when he came out?
Oh my! 😅

Jeff was such a hottie
In later years Joan Collins revealed to Gordon Thomson that she had a crush on him ( during season 9 filming )
ABC CBS NBC AND FOX NEED TO PUT ON NIGHT TIME SOAPS
Those networks need to get better programming
John James (Jeff) = Armie Hammer.
What did John James do to deserve that comparison
So did Jeff staab blake in the back wasn't he married to blake daughter
Those are martini glasses, NOT CHAMPAGNE GLASSES!!!! WHAT LUSHES!😎
The way he poisoned Jeff and everything after makes me hate his character severely
What's wrong with Adam's eyes? Never liked Jeff, LOVED Adam!😎

The acting is secondary. It's all about the clothes, the bling, the catfights and the bitchy repartee.
@@ccbsnyc I don't disagree
I thought that too Wilford. Joan looks out of sorts and I think she cast a malevolent aura on the other two actors maybe without meaning to.
Gordon Thompson looks older than Joan Collins.
