    This is honest and striaght to the point. Most people would often use their age as an excuse for the fat mass and how their size has changed. Being in denial of the facts won't get you anywhere understand and admit that you're over-eating...will help.

    Dude this wrapped up so much answers in one short video 🙌🙌. Answers the reasons for some people’s problem with diabetes, that we can’t just change people’s way of eating as it’s part of who they are. It will take a lot to educate and guide but videos like these help towards the future. Thumbs up 👍

    Not gonna lie, I've been really annoyed having to watch some of your videos for online school, but this video changed all of that. You just got so down to earth at the end, and I also loved how you said of I liked it I should like it and if I disliked it I should dislike it. Being annoyed from online school, I stopped, and instantly pressed like. Your weight story is inspiring. Keep it up, dude

      Hey Cubeminx, thanks for the honesty. Over the past month I've had a lot of comments from students that are upset because they are having to sit through my videos, and honestly, if I was having to sit and watch videos I had no interest in, I would be angry as well. It is good to hear that you got something out of this video, thanks for sharing that with me. For you, and all students, I do hope this online school situation doesn't have to go on for too long. Take care my friend.

    We do not inherit fat......We inherit different variation of a fondness for food or certain food. Even before a child becomes fat as an adult, you can tell which ones will get fat and
    those are the ones "highly impatient" about when food will be served.....They keep asking about "When will it be done, the food ?"

    Is it possible for teens to gain fat weight? I’m 15 and I’ve been dieting all year to burn off the fat I gained when I was a kid. I noticed that all the people my age that are fat became fat before pueberty and just stayed that way. Is that also why it’s easier and quicker for teens to loose weight??

    • @whatsupdude2778
      @whatsupdude2778  4 года назад +1

      Hey Americo Hagim, yes, teens can gain weight and get fat. It is usually easier for teens to lose weight because typically they live a much more active lifestyle, and their bodies are growing and burning many more calories than adults.

    Fantastic video! I'm curious about one thing though. You have a lot of videos that use a lot of animation and graphic content, on top of that, you upload them on a regular basis. Do you work on these all by yourself? Cheers!

    • @whatsupdude2778
      @whatsupdude2778  8 лет назад +5

      Hey Andy, so all of the animation I do on my own. Over the last year I learned how to use Flash to do the animation with, as you may have noticed my earlier videos have no animation in them. My friend and I collaborate on writing the "script" for each video, as we try to be as thorough as possible, while keeping the language simple. I do work full time, so I can't dedicate as much time as I would like to making videos, but hopefully that will change in the future. If you have any other questions let me know. Take care Andy.

    • @andyWEASEL
      @andyWEASEL 8 лет назад

      Awesome! I was wondering about that since it does seem like a lot effort goes into making the videos. Also, I really like the fact that you make the information very accessible. Since I just discovered your channel, I haven't watched many of your videos yet but lately I was trying to find some information about nutrition, more specific about consuming the recommended daily doses of nutrients and vitamins. What happens if sometimes you take too many vitamins from fruit and sometimes not enough, I'm curios how the body handles extra vitamins on some days and the lack of vitamins on other days and how that plays out long term. Do you by any chance have a video about this topic or do you plan on making one?

    • @whatsupdude2778
      @whatsupdude2778  8 лет назад +1

      +andyWEASEL Hey Andy, I do have a vitamin series that covers all the vitamins. You can find it on my channel under playlists. But to answer your question, there are 2 types of vitamins, fat soluble and water soluble. Extra fat soluble vitamins can be stored in the body, and extra water soluble vitamins will be excreted, when they are from food. Over consuming vitamins from supplements can sometimes lead to toxicity. If you are under consuming you may feel sluggish. That is one of the main reasons it is important to eat fruits and veggies, along with whole foods, every day. Just try and eat a variety as often as you can. Hope that answers your question. Take care Andy.

    • @andyWEASEL
      @andyWEASEL 8 лет назад

      Thanks for the reply. That answered my question and I will definitely check out the playlist. I don't like the idea of taking supplements or pills however I do use protein powder since I work out at the gym but lately I have been restricting calories to lose weight and I haven't been eating as many fruit as I would like to. I do eat fruit daily, mostly blueberries and apples, watermellons too this season but I think you're right, more variety would be welcome. I'll try that, thanks! P.S. By the way, you're right about the "feeling sluggish" part.

    This is very informative and well-intended, but personally I grew up without any sort of physical activity and started drinking alcohol at a very young age. I was only eating shitty junk foods until I got into college and realized the importance of a healthy lifestyle. I became more physically active at 24-25 and I am hoping to make a stricter habit out of it for the future. But food is hard to give up on and alcohol as well 😞

    I quit smoking and got fat. I gained 140 pounds overnight. I went from a nicely slim 135 pounds up to an obese 275. I struggled with diets and exercise, but I'm here to tell anybody who'll listen to me, they do NOT work. I got kicked out of the navy for being obese and lost my retirement. I developed obstructive sleep apnea, high blood pressure and diabetes. Smoking kept my weight down and I wish to high heaven, I would have never quit. I'd go back to smoking but might make my weight worse

      No that’s actually really skinny. You don’t have to look a certain way or see a certain number on the scale to be pretty tho. Thick bodies are just as pretty as skinny ones. If your doctor says you’re healthy then you’re ok. Worry about growing taller and being active, but not about what ur body weighs or what it looks like. Everyone is gonna look different, you’re young, you shouldn’t be worrying about your weight, especially when you’re clearly very skinny and don’t have any medical problems with being overweight. Just wanted to spread some positivity and reassure you that you’re not fat at all (even though being fat isn’t bad). I’ve been there but trust me, don’t worry about numbers on a scale they don’t mean anything, your health and giving ur body all the things it needs to grow is what matters. ❤️❤️
