My beautiful wife passed recently and I was so deeply lost, I brought a IPad and found Johns music again. I found listening to his music and his voice touched me so deeply, I found listening to him help me get through those hard times,The first thing I do every morning is listen to his songs, I get this feeling of joy and peacefulness that I can’t even describe. ❤️

So glad to see a fellow Aussie react to John Farnham. He has become a regular on many international reactors channels over the last couple of years. It's great to see that he is finally getting the recognition out side of Australia now ( for more than just You're the Voice. ) So its a refreshing change to watch someone, with musical knowledge, who has had Farnsey as part of their life growing up, react. Only someone who has seen John live can really understand the power of his voice and the magnitude of his magnetic personality. John Farnham is no larrikin. Definition of larrikin: a boisterous, often badly behaved young man but good hearted in nature. A person with apparent disregard for convention; a maverick. Jimmy Barnes is more fitting as a larrikin well at least in his younger years at the height of Cold Chisel but he has mellowed out. John Farnham is plain and simple a nice boy! Almost nerdy by rock n roll standards (monogamous married to one woman since 1973 with no affairs, family man, loyal, kind, polite, rarely ever swears, no drugs, not an alcoholic etc etc). Now Jimmy is (or was) another story. The Christ of Rock N Roll knows what he's talkin about. Been to jail twice and going again for the third time sometime soon. 🤣🤣🤣

Don't forget back then when concerts were a sell out, and these concerts were a couple of them, they Broadcasted them live on national free TV and synced them with one of the radio stations (I forget which one now, probably Triple M). So that everyone got to watch the concert from their own home on their TV's, mute the volume and tune in the radio station to use their big home stereo systems to get the maximum impact of sound quality.
YEEESSSS! I remember watching the Whispering Jack concert while on highschool camp. All of us year 8 kids huddled around a tv to watch him. One of my favourite memories!

John’s version of “help”(Beatles song originally), but done John’s way. John’s voice has stood the test of time, I think John is the greatest male vocalist of all time. Endless range, such emotion and passion in his voice, mic control is second to none. He is an epic performer, he is there for the love, the music, his fellow band members and the fans. John very regularly throws the mic stand meters in the air and catches it while still performing. John’s breath control is the best I’ve seen, most singers you can hear when they take a breath but with John there’s nothing, it’s like one breath throughout the entire song, every song. And yes most singers with such powerful voices, blow their voices out but John into his 70’s, his voice was still there. And I think John sounds even better live than studio, no auto tune, no ten takes, just nails it first time, every time. John has also covered most genres of music, even opera(with Anthony Warlow). He isn’t just a legend, he’s the legend. Awesome reaction to our John. And I believe the last of a few encores during this concert was John’s magnificent cover of AC/DC’s “it’s a long way to the top if you rock n roll” and yes please do more John.

That's how he made one feel 'as if he was singing only to them even in the back row' I'm sure. Like your reaction except for you stopping mid way through a 'note' pausing is a must I know but please chose an appropriate time... Hi from another Aussie.

Bloody awesome vid Dan, and finally mate, I've been waiting for you to get to Farnham for ages mate, as in the last couple of years, people from around the world have finally been getting their taste of John... all the reaction reviews on his songs from his 50 year plus career... and while it never too late, such a pity that the world didn't get to hear and see him much sooner than in the last couple of years... but this version of 'Help, this particular vid is the pinnacle Farnham, and it's the number one reviewed and reacted too vid... and for bloody good reason too... you just don't get any better than that... so I'm so glad, you're finally doing this vid mate... and a man of your calibre and expertise adds to the weight behind what you say... and you nailed it with Farnham is an exception to the rule... there's only one John, and he is simply masterclass... last year marked my 20 year anniversary of my Farnham tribute that I do for the legend and his fans... and I'm a baritone with a tenor top, so I know fully well the demand on the voice when you do a Farnham tribute show fully... and song placement is a must... and only Farnham can do a song like 'Help' the last song of the night, cause only he can pull it off like he does and just the best ever... when I do 'Help' and 'You're The Voice' they're about 10 songs in, or the middle of the setlist, certainly not last... but doing Farnham you certainly need to be fit and have your vocal endurance to do him and his songs justice... as a vocalist, John is the hardest task ever, and the best challenge ever, and thankfully after 20 years of doing the show, I'm still at it mate, so I'm obviously doing something right... and lessons and teachers are the key doing this sort of show... all up in my 30 year career as a singer I've had 5 singing teachers and also lots of research and discilpline to keep the voice looked after and fine tuned and I'm thankfull for it... im 40 this year and i have records from the 80s and 90s i grew up with! Vinyl, Cassette, CD and rare Creative 5.1 DVD Audio. i sang in school as a kid to 2002. now i do voice acting

My mum sang with John. Just saying. As far as technique- how he positions his head, rather like joan sutherland to allow maximum volume as if he is singing to the back rafters. His diaphragm control is out of the world and his ability toncontrol his vocal chord inspan to create a rasp or tonreach a note is incredible. I bet, at the end of a concert he would have near to zero fatigue as a result of perfect technique
Many singers take half an hour to get to higher notes. John goes BANG, nailed it. David's jacket would not look out of place on the cover of Abbey Road and I STILL want it.
I first remember seeing John sing his version of Help on TV during a Royal Charity Concert at the Sydney Opera House before the Queen and Prince Philip in 1980. The concert also featured Olivia Newton John singing Don't Cry For Me Argentina and Peter Allen with his iconic, I Still Call Australia Home. This is how the song should always have been sung to give its true meaning, and was later copied and released by Tina Turner on her 1984 album Private Dancer.
Hey Errol, checked out Adrian and he has a nice voice. I could only find 1 home video of him so that's not a lot to go on. With that in mind have you heard John sing Black Dog? or Gethsemane, Granada, when the war is over, a long way to the top with Sir Tom Jones, Georga with Ray Charles or heard Robbie Williams praise him and sing his song out of respect. If you haven't.. No worries, lots of people outside of Australia haven't heard of him. Do yourself a favor and check some of them out. Peace brother!

My mum sang with John. Just saying. As far as technique- how he positions his head, rather like joan sutherland to allow maximum volume as if he is singing to the back rafters. His diaphragm control is out of the world and his ability toncontrol his vocal chord inspan to create a rasp or tonreach a note is incredible. I bet, at the end of a concert he would have near to zero fatigue as a result of perfect technique

I first remember seeing John sing his version of Help on TV during a Royal Charity Concert at the Sydney Opera House before the Queen and Prince Philip in 1980. The concert also featured Olivia Newton John singing Don't Cry For Me Argentina and Peter Allen with his iconic, I Still Call Australia Home.
This is how the song should always have been sung to give its true meaning, and was later copied and released by Tina Turner on her 1984 album Private Dancer.
THEYRE IS A GUY IN THE UK THAT HAS THAT RANGE, HE SINGS ALL SORTS OF SONGS, AND CAN SING DOWNSTAIRS ASWELL AS THIS KEY, HIS NAME IS ADRIAN PARIS.

or Gethsemane, Granada, when the war is over, a long way to the top with Sir Tom Jones, Georga with Ray Charles or heard Robbie Williams praise him and sing his song out of respect. If you haven't.. No worries, lots of people outside of Australia haven't heard of him.

Lisa was also in a band called Short Circuit with trevor Courtney and Roger McLachlan. They deserved to do better than they did.

Thanks to the Celine Dion documentary, where she shared this video and how he inspired her with his powerful performances. I was hooked instantly. John is one of the best, I've seen him a few times in Port Douglas with Glenn, but never approached him. It's not what we do here and it's why the big names keep coming back. All that aside.. how about what I think is almost his best performance ever...
