Operation Paperclip was the US actively bringing former Nazi scientists over to the US, this is more like the German government after WW2 having to accept that there will always be some former Nazis or supporters of the party in various positions around the country no matter what they do, just on a much larger scale and even harder to sniff out.

    It's good to see you guys enjoying Ahsoka, lot of trepidation surrounding the live action series of everyone's favourite Togruta but it's going well. Ahsoka & Sabine doing the Ezra & Kanan dynamic is a nice callback to a central thread of the OG series, Master & Apprentice travelling battling bad guys and discovering the mysteries of the Force.
    Having Huyang in the main cast is great, never one to mince words and joins the group of sassy droids like Chopper who makes his live action debut, to Rana's glee. Ahsoka has been doing Jedi stuff for almost 30 years, she's trained and fought with the best of the Jedi and fought the Sith and Empire many a time.
    HK Droids and a former Inquisitor are light work for Lady Tano, with Hera and Chop also showing off their fancy flying and getting a tracker on the Hyperdrive core that flew out of Corellia like a Mynock out of hell. Imperial loyalists still remain as Morgan Elspeth's former factories still carrying out hidden operations under the New Republic's nose.
    Speaking of Morgan, she is now chilling on the bridge of the Eye of Sion, good easter egg for KOTOR II fans and a supersized Hyperspace Ring that can bridge the gap between their galaxy and the one where Thrawn is stranded in. Seatos looks like the place to be in the coming episodes Ahsoka and Sabine now reunited head toward the planet and no doubt we gonna see a showdown between them and their dark side equivalents, Baylan Skoll and his apprentice, Shin Hati.
    Baylan does have respect for Ahsoka as he is reticent to having to kill her, since she is one of the last living Jedi. Shin is more deferent to her Master, but she knows to ask the right questions and Marrok, he has style. As for why Thrawn is so important to be rescued or defeated, just look back at Rebels.
    The last Grand Admiral of the Empire not accounted for, who caused such a headache for the Rebellion and for the Ghost Crew. Came very close to decimating all of Lothal, if not for the determination of Ezra Bridger and the intervention of the Purgils hyperspeeding them away across galaxies.
    A cold, calculating and competent Imperial who is just as cunning and creative as his opponents, of course you be scared if he's still alive, more so if people are trying to bring him back here. The Imperial remnants are scattered but still dangerous, and it's still about 20 years before the First Order becomes a big threat to everyone. So you definitely don't need that blue son of a bitch coming back and causing havoc.
    While I understand that Mickey doesn't get the appeal of Thrawn, underestimate him at your own peril. Like in Andor the most dangerous foes are the ones who are good at their jobs like Dedra Meero or Major Partagaz. Thanks for the reaction and I will see you next time guys, peace.

    - Mickey asked how old Huyang is. Well, he is Dawn of the Jedi old, which is roughly 25,000 years before all these events.

      Besides the Emperor himself, Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax would be a very capable leader of the Empire. Heck, he essentially was the leader of the Empire throughout the canon Aftermath trilogy, as part of Palpatine’s design.

    • @knightmare5097
      @knightmare5097 4 месяца назад

      @@TheGreater-ScopeVillain If I recall correctly, as soon as Rax came into power, he wasn’t exactly that great. Even Sloane noted how his speeches were all talk but no passion. He should’ve stuck with being behind the scenes.

    • @TheGreater-ScopeVillain
      @TheGreater-ScopeVillain 4 месяца назад

      @@knightmare5097 That was likely because Rax didn’t actually have any passion for ruling the Empire because that was never his task. His one goal set by his master, Emperor Palpatine, was to destroy the Empire in the event of his death and rebuild it in the Unknown Regions so that he can use it again after he returns from death. If Rax actually had any desire to rule the Empire properly, I think he would be highly competent at it, but his goal was to ensure the Empire’s destruction and rebirth, which was why he had no passion in his speeches.

    This isn’t the first time that Star Wars had dealt with the concept of neighboring galaxies.
    In the Legands EU (before Disney bought Star Wars), the New Jedi Order book series introduced a new threat: the Yuuzhan Vong. A species from another galaxy that was invisible in the eyes of the Force. They invaded the main galaxy and caused a massive and destructive war. Luke, Leia, Han and other heroes fought against them.
    The story was set 21 years after Return of the Jedi. It’s pretty good.

Like mando s3 is now considered bad but most I know saying that never finished past ep 2 and cried about a small cameo joke and missed the heart felt s nd off in the final ep along with the pretty good final episode fight with all the special effects usually saved for tv movies. While agents of shield was previewed back in the day I always wished we could get movie like quality stars and effects for a tv show and it was said to be impossible. Like avengers the cartoon show but with the movie cast and one off random eps. Seems that dream came sorta in Star Wars and everyone hates it. 😅 lol. Then again they said they thought it was okay. Reva survived and did all those things the same way Maul did, using hate and the dark side.

      @@queefburglarr I always interpeted the end of Kenobi having Reva succumb to her injuries. She seemingly found no medical attention and was clearly injured the whole fight. I think her deciding to not strike down Luke resulted in her not being able to hold herself together with the dark side, and passed away peacefully. Well, with as much peace as they could find.

      Qui-Gon got stabbed through his major organs and spine. Very different from Sabine who was stabbed in the lower right abdomen. Most people can survive a stab or gunshot in that region. As for Maul, the dark side is one hell of a drug. Remember Sion? He was a pile of crushed bones, shredded muscles and rotten flesh, but used the dark side to keep himself alive for years.

    This series is eight episodes with plenty of awesome Star Wars moments... but only about 2 or 3 episodes worth of plot. I appreciate when a show lets its scenes breath and has the confidence to linger on shots, but this show feels like it is padding for time in most instances -- most of the scenes it lingers on just don't have the gravitas to warrant holding the shot, IMO.

      We have known since 2018 that Sabine and Ahsoka are going on an adventure to search for Ezra. It is the second episode of a new show. They should already be on this new journey. Instead half of the plot of this entire show is them wasting time and revealing and talking about things that already happened.
