Ahsoka received Jedi training from Anakin Skywalker and a host of Jedi masters; she has actual co,bat experience in large scale fleet engagements, commanding capital ships and fighter groups; she’s piloted fighters in actual combat; she’s engage in land warfare with battalions of troops, commanding clone troopers; she’s dueled Sith and personally fought against bounty hunters, battle droids, pirates, and Mandalorians. At this period in the galaxy she’s probably one of the most experienced military minds alive. She fought Sidious, Vader, and Maul in a 24 hr span
Needless to say today, a couple fighters chasing her shuttle is no biggie.

One thing I really like about Ahsoka is that Dave Filoni infuses a lot of mythology elements into the show, to add to the “space-fantasy” vibe. For example, the main villains:
Morgan Elsbeth is a direct reference to Morgan Le Fay: the evil witch from Arthurian Legend.
Baylan Skoll is named after Skoll, the Norse Mythology wolf that chases the Sun, and eats it when Ragnarok comes.
Shin Hati is named after Hati, the Norse Mythology wolf who chases the Moon, and eats it when Ragnarok comes.
And Marrok has the same name with a knight from Arthurian Legend, who was turned into a werewolf and trained Morgan Le Fay.
I’m a sucker for that type of stuff in Star Wars.

My point is, there's no way to know whether you linking the two together is actually what the creator intended or not. It could just as well be that you're playing these games in your head by yourself with no real basis for it being true.

Spidey’s right. Sabine _does_ have midichlorians. All living things do.
You _have_ seen kids who had parents of different species. In fact they were also human/twi’lek hybrids, though much more twi’lek. The Lawquane children in clone wars, being raised by their twi’lek mother and (adoptive) ex clone trooper father Cut.

I've always suspected the really good gunslingers and pilots in this universe aren't force sensitive but have a high enough midichlorian count to where the force heightens their skill set to peak ability.

This is why it's better to watch things without seeing anything from critics and toxic Twitter users voicing all their concerns and opinions ruining the experience for everyone else enjoying the show. Better experience to watch things with a blank slate and to make up your own mind afterward without anyone swaying you to like or dislike a piece of entertainment that is meant to be subjective for everyone as all works of art are intended to be seen. Not forcing you or bullying you into being labeled a shill or hater when viewing. Great reaction as always! Keep up the great work! Thanks!

100% agree with this. I've been putting off watching The Acolyte until The Normies started watching it. The toxicity can really ruin a viewing experience and it's extremely difficult not to experience this toxicity on social media, youtube, etc. if you're a fan of the Star Wars franchise. I thought the hate for the prequels was bad back in the day but the vileness of the Star Wars community is as bad as it's ever been atm.

When it comes to Sabine learning the force, we know that everyone has midichlorians that serve as a bridge between a person and the force letting the force "speak" to that person, the way I see it is that everyone has a doorway inside them that opens up to the force, the problem is that that door is locked and the more midichlorains a person has the easier it is for them to pick that lock. It's why the Jedi wouldn't have trained Sabine b/c her number wasn't high enough and would instead focus on training people who wouldn't keep breaking the lock picks so to speak.

It’s so frustrating to see the situation of the New Republic these days. Mothma, who sacrificed everything to free the galaxy from Palpatine, now has to share power with assholes like Xiono who were too cowardly to fight in the war. Xiono crows about peace and freedom but he did nothing for it and the New Republic is failing to even provide for it’s own people or root out corruption. It’s why the First Order gets going.
Even the other senators are like “oh but they took an oath of loyalty”, and when Hera said they were still loyal to the Empire, they said “oh well issue resolved right”. They’re cowards. And they’re why fascism can return. We see it right now in real life. The media is focused on Biden’s poor debate performance over the fact that Trump’s Supreme Court justices just said that a president is above the law, and Trump’s Project 2025 if he gets back in power. Fascism can always return.

When the trailers for the series first revealed that Sabine was Ahsoka's apprentice, a lot of people were debating what that meant. My theory was that Sabine was training to achieve a state of inner peace through mindfulness, similar to what I practice in my daily life to keep me from feeling stressed, angry, or depressed. But I also like the explanation they give in the series. I don't know the exact quote or its source, but I've heard that George Lucas once likened the Force to karate; anyone can do it if they have the training and discipline.
As an aside, I don't think Senator Xiono is one of the bad guys, based on his appearances in the Resistance animated series (in which he was also an asshole, even to his own son). It's more likely that he's just a sleazy politician. Or, maybe he really was working for the Empire, and he managed to keep it secret for thirty years.

    • @RyderDunei
      @RyderDunei 3 месяца назад +1

I kind of liken the Force to the Thu'um or Dragon Shouts from Skyrim, Dragonborn are naturally quick to learn and master shouts due to their inherent abilities, but with enough training and discipline anyone with the will can get some sort of result, everyone is capable, but without a strong connection few have the will and mindset to achieve it.
Though personally I think that anyone who does do that should be much more limited in their use of the Force than a Jedi, to use the Karate comparison, technique can take you far and help against physically superior foes, but if someone is just as skilled as you AND physically stronger or faster, you wont be able to match them.
As for the politician, its just your classic accusing of everyone *else* of being selfish to pull resources back to your own agenda.

I never had a problem with Mickey, but I did kinda say “whoa” when he really didn’t like the scene of Sabine sparing Rukh, because I could tell he wasn’t really feeling the show anymore. I didn’t mind but it did kinda damper that reaction, but again, i didn’t feel like he has to love all of Rebels. The show generally seems hit or miss with people and early on I even remember Rana not liking it. With the end of the show near I hoped Mickey would like the finale or maybe like Ahsoka more.
Sadly now we know that Mickey is having personal issues that have affected his enjoyment of things and he’s stepping away. You never know what’s going on with someone and you should always have empathy. I wish Mickey well, I’ll miss having a core Normie around.

This is 2 weeks old but the whole im not training her to be a Jedi but to be herself is said within a certain context. In that context being a Jedi was not a good thing. Ahsoka was saying that following the ways of the Jedi is a bad thing. So I'm that context no she isn't trading her to be a Jedi because she disagrees with Jedi teaching practices. So she's is teaching her to be herself the way Ahsoka is herself and not a "Jedi". That isn't meant to convey that she isn't training her to use the force the way she does. We just saw her trying to reach her to use the force. The context here is VERY important.

Everyone liked the scene where Hera shuts down the Senator "savagely", but this is actually a bad thing in a democracy, a military officer shouldn't shuts down or talk down on an elected official for being an opposition of what they are doing just because they didn't fought in a war, that's not how democracy works.
What Hera doing is essentially what the Empire has been doing all this time, bypassing elected official and doing things their own way, just more subtle than what Hera's done.

Easily the weakest episode of the season in my opinion. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't really hit despite having some cool moments. If they didn't insist on the 30ish minute episode format half of this could have easily been rolled into another episode or two to make them better. Like tack half of this onto existing episode 2, and the back half onto the beginning of current ep 4. Add an extra 10-15 minutes onto each, there's surely a good cliffhanger break in here to make that work. But they keep doing the short episodes aside from the first & last of a show.
I won't spoil anything, but I think the show could have greatly benefited having this one rolled into other episodes thus freeing up some more development time for the story in another new episode, wherever that slots into, if they have to stick to the hard episode limit.
I'm honestly pretty sick of the 6 hour movie format these shows take. The least they could do is give us 45min episodes at a minimum. Their execution of this formula is in need of revisions for sure, but they got comfortable.
Since nobody watched Resistance back a few years ago, Xionoh is the protagonist's father. He's also heavily implied to be a First Order Simp or Collaborator. Much like old DJ or whatever was talking about in TLJ when they were on Canto Bight.

people should analyze this series to understand why both series with a black woman lead are so different in the fans eyes.
one is led by a likeable woman, in and out of the set, who is rational and educated... the other is led by an overgrown child brat.
it must be explored and understood, that the production team _thought_ that _since_ the series with a black woman 1 was well received, _the series with a black woman 2_ would also be well received _because of the fact_ that both feature a black woman lead.... and for that wrong assumption, is that they missed the mark.
people are so averse to assuming things lately... we should bring that back.
