I’m not even a massive fan of the show, I enjoyed it but there were definitely some issues, but I just can’t stand people like you who take the time to watch a video they are not interested in, only to comment something stupid or negative. Go touch grass.
Should have watched the Bad Batch, Tales of the Jedi, and Tales of the Empire before watching this to give more reference of how great Star Wars narrative can be. 😁
This show is actually four 45min to 1hr long episodes that have been chopped up and scrambled around so as to stretch the air dates so people would sub to Disney+ for more than 1 month. Because of this many episodes feel unfulfilling. I think you'd enjoy it better if you watched episodes 1+2, then 3+7, then 4+5 and finally 6+8. I think episodes 4+5 definitely should be watched back to back as one. Curious to know if anyone else would agree.
I agree that this is the approach I would recommend to people who don’t normally watch/read/play (consume) a lot of entertainment that’s exclusively mystery genre as I think this will make watching the show follow a storytelling format that’s more familiar to them. In some fan groups and at some fan meetups to watch together in groups I definitely noticed a difference between fans who are also long time mystery genre consumers versus those who either don’t consume mystery genre content normally or rarely consume it speaking about their experience of watching the show in differing levels of enjoyment. For those who consume a lot of mystery genre content it seemed they enjoyed the show just fine and were looking for clues, etc, like they would with any other mystery genre content. For those who consume it rarely or not at all there was definitely some confusion about why certain things were being revealed and other things left unrevealed or some frustration with the direction the narrative would take between episodes. I think your recommendation on how to watch the episodes would alleviate both that frustration and confusion and provide a better watching experience, especially for fans that the mystery genre is just not usually a genre they enjoy. A lot of the complaints I often heard or read from fans providing details on what they meant were usually related to just being less familiar with mystery genre storytelling styles, tropes, narrative styles, etc. And to be fair as someone who loves both the mystery genre and Star Wars and have loved both since I was a kid, I was actually surprised by how much this show followed the mystery genre. I was expecting it to only lightly borrow from it and then be just another Star Wars series but with the “aesthetics” of the mystery genre. Instead it was a lot like Andor in that Andor followed the spy-thriller genre storytelling, tropes, narrative styles, etc so much that it feels like Star Wars is just the aesthetic for a spy-thriller show instead of the other way around. The Acolyte doesn’t go that hard into its genre, but it gets close at times before pulling back a bit to not lose Star Wars into a mere aesthetic. I think my expectations were lower for both Andor and The Acolyte because both were said to be those genres when announced and my mind just went to episodes of The Clone Wars animated series that were kinda in those genres and so I just assumed that’s what they’d be….and then the live-action shows have proven that they can indeed be more and still tell Star Wars stories which is why I am excited about Skeleton Crew now.
It pains me that one of the more actually original and adventurous shows is getting this much mindless hate. It's cool that people don't like it ofc I just wish more people talked about it strengths.
Love watching you guys try to piece things together. That’s half the fun of this show! The fight choreography is so good. The reason Mae said “where is *your* Jedi” is because during this point in history, the Jedi are spread out across the Galaxy in various temples, they’re not all concentrated on Coruscant full time
@@TheTurtle. it's fun for new fans who don't care for star wars lore or well crafted stories/characters. The prequels and og trilogy have a bunch of problems but the story is consistent and the characters are competent and well acted for the most part.
@ConcernedFetus The power of one...the power of two...the power of maaaaaannnnyyyyy! Agree to disagree. The story is predictable and obvious. The acting is atrocious, little rue at some point forgot how to act, the showrunner decided to put her wife in who is so wooden and unlikeable. Alias is ass. Why are you even here watching this reaction if you don’t like the show? Enough of their PAYING PATREONS voted for this show so they’re reacting to it. If you don’t like it, don’t watch or comment on the reactions and wait until they post something you want to watch.

I hope you guys react to Bad Batch next!
Maybe they’ll catch up on the MCU shows one day… I really think they wouldn’t like Echo
Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean they won't
@@daurydavis3983that show was so trash, u don't even hear about it. I even forgot it existed 😂😂😂
@@Anonymous-rc7kq that's you, not everyone else
@@daurydavis3983 keep telling urself that bud. The numbers don't lie. That show was bad and so is this one. Its ok to enjoy bad shows
@@Anonymous-rc7kq poor racist misogynist
When you guys catch up on everything will you watch Star Wars: Visions season 2?
It pains me that one of the more actually original and adventurous shows is getting this much mindless hate. It's cool that people don't like it ofc I just wish more people talked about it strengths.
It’s getting a lot of thoughtful hate too.
Originality doesn't excuse poor presentation. The only strength was its choreography.
It’s canceled liar
@meepmeep8035 if it had more strengths people would be talking about that.
“We haven’t done twins yet.” Dude…
Also, Star Wars is all about twins and duality.
No, its literally about good vs evil, Lucas has even stated it several times.
Magical twins are just a trope used in fantasy.
And it took Marketa 100 hours of Star Wars, to question fire in space...
@@BaithNaSure. Luke and Leia just put these words deep into the Sarlacc Pit.
Chris actually said “we haven’t done twins yet” 😂
The force be with you
Love watching you guys try to piece things together. That’s half the fun of this show! The fight choreography is so good. The reason Mae said “where is *your* Jedi” is because during this point in history, the Jedi are spread out across the Galaxy in various temples, they’re not all concentrated on Coruscant full time
This show is completely devoid of fun and good writing.
Some of the action choreography was good but attempting to shoehorn a certain character in as a cameo to attempt to justify this nonsense story and tie it into the prequel trilogy is bad.
Nothing in this show was surprising or fun.
@@TheTurtle. I'm on your side maybe I should have been more explicit
@@ConcernedFetus no worries. Possible I misinterpreted it as well.
Tales of the jedi is better because its greatness is concentrated great. But The Bad Batch is great with a little "filler."
Love you guys. I loved this series. I cant wait til you get into the second half of the season! I hope they get renewed!
it was cancelled
It’s canceled
Really hope Tales of the Empire is after this😅
"How is there fire in space?" Um, how is there *sound* in space? You know you're watching Star Wars, right?
I'm actually surprised y'all are watching this show, it was genuinely offensively bad. The acting was fine, it had a few good fight scenes, but the writing was unfathomably awful and I wasn't surprised in the slightest. I knew when the first trailer dropped that it was gonna be ass
I recommend binging this. It flows better with multiple episodes.
When you reacting to The Bad Batch?

@@oklin2376 ok but My thing was talking about the guy Asking when they were going to react to it And they literally set it With in a minute of the video. Don't know why you're talking to me about it.
Please watch chilling adventures of Sabrina,it’s a really good show ❤
Coruscant doesn't look that different, the city is thousands of years old, it shouldn't change mush in a 100 years
