@@Tony_Jeffries Very much. My fingers can move as if there are no hand wraps, but that depends on the variation I'm using. Speaking of variations, there are a lot of variations I can do with this style, depending on the condition of my hands. I also use it for handling a rifle for our silent drill. I could feel how much more mobile my right hand was compared to my left hand when some parts of my left hand were hurting and I had to wrap it a little more.
I just few minutes ago, watch the long version, and this short suddenly appear. Thank you so much, this wrap work really well for me, and feel much comfortable and safer for me
This style alone switching from closed palm helped me a lot. Punch a lot harder now because i can squeeze my fist tighter. This helps not only with strong connection with the target but also with my wrist.
I love your videos Tony. Now I don’t have to ask my coach to wrap my hands. I tried other random peoples methods of wrapping my hands . Your method is the best hands down. You’re a genius Tony . I love you ,man.
Thank you Tony...I always love boxing but didn't had the facility to learn...by watching your videos I started training in my gym with punching bags and shadow boxing. You are my coach ❤️
Tony, can you make some follow along workout videos? You are such a good coach and your techniques are so perfect that videos like that would be great to work out to.
The short actually helps more than the longer form video because of the freeze frames and better view, but could we still get a POV shot of how to wrap the hands please?
This is excellent, my only gripe with a lot of these videos if they don’t describe what size wrap is being used so I always run out of wrap before I finish their recommended use
I've got no intention of getting back on the tatami, but I am enjoying heavy bag work for the fitness. This wrap works very well for me. Very comfortable.
Just starting with the punching bag. I’ve trained in martial arts before and was kinda prejudiced against boxing, but now I’m Gung ho. I see the benefits of cardio and strength training boxing provides. Thanks man, I’ve subscribed 😄👍🏾
This is awesome thank you! I’d been trying to learn the Mexican hand wrap.. not sure why they call it that when your way looks almost identical to it but I’m still struggling but seeing your video made it so easy! Thank you!
@@rompallisandeep2939 That is strange. I think your gloves are for children. You should only use the 16-18 ounce gloves for training on a heavy bag/sparring. And also, check if you wrapped your hands properly. Maybe you didn't wrap your wrists enough and put too much on your knuckles. Follow this video exactly. Every boxer in the whole world uses the longest wraps of 180 inches. Anything smaller and you risk breaking your hands.

i JUST started boxing thanks to this guy’s tutorials. if anyone can answer this i’d really appreciate it :) to keep this short question short, why would you wrap your hand? as in, why would you wrap it instead of a glove? or does it go under the glove? apologies, i just started a week ago and know nothing about the sport
I hyper-extented my pinky finger while punching heavy bag.( No gloves /wraps) there is no fracture but i sometimes feel pain moving my pinky still after 2 months.
For some reason I've always thought that that was just a method that I used because whenever I spar I wrap my hands exactly like that but I for some reason that the eye came up with it 😅😤
I grabbed the Meister hand wrap roller off Amazon for about $17, it was a great investment. Don't go with the sightly cheaper one on there, lots of complaints about a critical part breaking off and it becomes useless.
I’ve tried different methods and this one makes sense and is most comfortable. Helps with skipping, kettlebells and gloves for the bag. The pad on the knuckles is mint !

I have stopped using the pinky hole ever since I watched Tony's method. It's more solid, more padding on the knuckles but doesn't bulky at all

Im using your videos to explore the sport, i love how “to the point” you explain your process.
Well done mate.
I think comfort for this wrap style depends on hand size and shape. But this works well for me. Thanks Tony.

More I learn about boxing, more I question if the fist is the best weapon to use in a fight.
Yes, it is, after you knock down your opponent using a wrestling/judo/BJJ sequence and he is with his back to the ground. the mma ground n pound.
My only question next is how much tension to have on the wrap. I’ve hurt myself twice I think because the wrap was too loose
i need longer wraps
