I just had some made for me. They are black with white text but look like the stock plate and are stamped aluminum like a real plate too. We'll see how the police react to it. I've only seen 1 car with it which was the inspiration for me. I've wanted the black ones forever, but never wanted the yellow text.
ouch! definitely a risk to running it as i believe it can be considered “covering” the plate. $1,100 is quite the ticket - what state are you in that they issued such a fine?
The "California" should be 7.25in wide and the individual letters/numbers should be about 2.625in tall. Be sure to double check by taking measurements of your own though! Hope this helps.
No problem! So it’s hard to say as each letter/number has slightly different measurements. If we use “E” as the example (and assume your text will scale proportional to that letter) the exact measurements I used were: W 1.158in by H 2.71in. As long as you get them close to this size, they will look correct on the plate 👍🏼

Not 100% sure what you’re after here but if you select only the text (no background objects) and export as a PNG, it should have a transparent background which you can then cut to keep the letter spacing accurate 👍🏼 Hopefully this helps? 😅
i’ve seen some pretty questionable modifications to plates with seemingly little to no repercussions... as long as it’s clearly legible you should be fine. whether the cop wants to add an additional item to your ticket if you get pulled over though, is a different question... (likely only a ~$25 fix it ticket but i’m no legal expert)
Thanks bro, do you have a link or file for the design in cricut?? Much appreciate trying to do this on my F30. I see you got a E82 as well?

black with white text is the way to go. not likely you’ll get stopped for it but just another item a cop can add on to your ticket.
@@apexpxlI had it for almost 2 years with no problem and just a couple months ago I got pulled over for it. $1,100 fine

This dude light body weight can help him win many races lol Thanks for the video
definitely an advantage when karting tbh
hi do you know how to get the font used in the legacy font "california" ? does anyone know the font name? thank you
Hey man I have a question why is it keep failing my scanning when I try to cut ?? Can you please get back to
Do you have the same set up as mine?
Ima try to do a video on it but when you place the gloss black you gotta feed the vinyl into all the letters/numbers
Yep, reminds me of how difficult wrapping can be. Definitely helps to have some heat on hand so you can stretch the material around the lettering 👍🏼
Bro how can I take the outlines out I’m new to this and can’t get it at all can you please help me
What exact are the number and letter for the plate on ur Cricut app? The measurements

@@apexpxl heyyyy i appreciated that! a lot of ppl dont wanna help out, also do you know the wide?

@@apexpxl hey man i appreciated that!
what's the name of the font you used for the "california" and also the name of the font for the actual numbers and letters?
What size are the letters, numbers exactly on the critcut app?

What printer do you use?, please help I’m trying to buy one today
Not a printer. It’s a vinyl cutter. Cricut to be exact
yep! Cricut printer/cutter. not sure what model it is!
Hi, what size and fonts did you use?
Did you end up finding that informatiion???
I used a variety of fonts for the different logos but the main ones were Proxima, Avenir Next, and Helvetica! Hope this helps! 👍🏼
Also just realizing you’d asked about the license plate fonts. I’ll add links to the video description 👍🏼👍🏼
Have you had any issues with cops?
i actually don’t run the plate myself. this was a fun project but i find the classic California White and Blue looks better on my car 👍🏼
You will get a ticket from CHP for this.
possibly
What machine do you use to make the letters
Its his real license plate
All he did was color it
I will pay you to do this for my motorcycle
How many tickets?
i don’t use it on the streets :)
@@apexpxl I realized to late my bad
Been running mine for a week already no issues

I just did this 🫠 to my plate
That’s awesome! I think they look so much better!
Any trouble with the law?
@@sendit3251 honestly I have never had a problem neither has the people I have done the wraps for . I guess it just depends on the cop
