I’ve only seen silence of the lambs twice (tonight being the second time) and I actually watched SOTL and RD back to back. At first I was nervous that RD would be a shot for shot rehashing of SOTL, but I was pleasantly surprised. You could feel the throwbacks, but it def stands on its own.
I definitely prefer "Manhunter." That was a really unsettling film. This remake....Whilst Ralph Fiennes is good and creepy, he was too sleazy/creepy. Definitely Manhunter is superior. :-) Brian Cox as Hannibal Lector was more subtle, more menacing, imo. But Red Dragon the book was really good and spine-tingling.
If you just watch the scene alone, you can see that Will grabs two guns, the semi-auto, and his revolver. Drops the semi-auto on the ground, which Molly picks up
I think the original of Red Dragon, "Manhunter" was far superior. While Ralph Fiennes is a supreme actor, the actor in Manhunter was more effective, more chilling, more pathetic. Red Dragon is a good film, entertaining, but standard.
Manhunter is better to me.. I wanted to like Red Dragon because Hopkins, Norton, Keitel and Fiennes are great actors. But Manhunter is superior in my opinion.
I’ve seen both Manhunter and Red Dragon. Both good. Manhunter focuses more on Will and how he can put himself into the mind of serial killers. Red Dragon focuses more on Dolerhide.
Oh please do all the lector movie. They are so good and would to see the revisited. Especially with how far you have come in you reviews. I have bounced around on them and they have tripled in quality.
So she didnt make up with her dad again, right? Awww, that's too bad. In Groundhog day they were meticulous about continuity. A necessity in time travel films, eh? Great review. Love, Meth Baby (Uh oh, this comment is for happy death day) SIGH. I've gotta get my dorkitude cured!
I picked it up immediately on the off key flutist. But I've got really good pitch, and I live with a violinist and used to play piano, so I'm predisposed to it
You can't pronounce Guillermo? Oh right English speakers have trouble with LL right? We can't pronounce three consonants on a row so we all have issues
I finally got around to re-watching Manhunter, And they are very different. Red Dragon fits with the Silence of the Lambs universe, while Manhunter stands on it's own. You can see where they expanded Hannibal's involvement to cash in on Anthony Hopkins popularity after SOTL. I spoke to Graham not feeling "damaged enough" in this review, but in Manhunter, he's a PTSD survivor, and it shows. It also has a bigger sense of impending doom than RD. I do like Manhunter, but RD still has a place in my heart.
@@theNewBee Bullshit it has a bigger sense of doom especially when his family keeps getting put in harm's way. On top of that Raphe Fiennes is bigger and stronger than Tom Noonan therefore you feel a greater notion of danger because he is a big guy and a lot more menacing. He plays fucked up in the head crazy to a tee, I would bet some of the other actors were actually afraid of him like they were Gunnar Hansen in Texas Chainsaw
@@homelesshannah50 I'll just casually point out that big man =/= scary man. And out of pure curiosity, I Googled like a nerd-- Tom Noonan is 6'5", while _Ralph_ Fiennes rolls in at 5'11".
Honestly if I had a completely legal opportunity to eat human flesh I would totally take it. Even if it’s just one bite that way I can be like... “yeah, I’ve eaten human before”
You should watch the show “Hannibal” with Mads Mikkelsen. Excellent throughout all three seasons!
Fucking amazing show
I’m gonna watch it!
Jesco Nevada very sorry to hear. May he Rest In Peace. Much strength to you.
Must concur! Hannibal is amazing. Beautiful cinematography, amazing actors. Amazing
A beautiful Gothic masterpiece my actual favourite show and work of art
“Hi I’m Johnny Knoxville and this is The Flaming Wheelchair.” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's like lady and the tramp but with cujo xD
I died laughing when he said that!!!
Crazy, watching this exactly a year later... One of the movies that made Edward Norton my favorite actor.
And that is how voldermort was formed and how hulk was gonna be born 😂
The best movie review channel on RUclips!!!!
If I had no idea what Hannibal was up to, I would attend his barbeque, for sure. The man knows how to cook.
Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter had more sexual chemistry in these few minutes in the beginning than all of the twilight movies.
Weirdly, a trend that continues in future adaptions, aka the show Hannibal
I’ve only seen silence of the lambs twice (tonight being the second time) and I actually watched SOTL and RD back to back. At first I was nervous that RD would be a shot for shot rehashing of SOTL, but I was pleasantly surprised. You could feel the throwbacks, but it def stands on its own.
Your reviews are hilarious! So glad I discovered your channel. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family!
Unpopular opinion but I actually like red dragon more than the silent of the lambs, don't judge 😂😂😂
"Kentucky fried flutist"!
🤣🤣🤣
i read the silence of the lambs and the prequels when i was 12-13 and absolutely loved them.
Argh lucky you. My parents know what the books are about (since they watched the movie) and they’re never letting me read that 😐
It’s interesting how faithful this movie is to the book
I'm putting this on my resume "serial killer, gourmet, and impulsive music critic." Love it!
The music in this movie is so good
Red dragon was good, but Manhunter ROCKED! Nothing like a Miami Vice-ish soundtrack to set the psycho mood...

He had … certain disadvantages 😉 I totally agree with you. I like Anthony Hopkins and I adore Ed Norton but Manhunter was just perfect.
I just found my new favorite channel 😂 you are hilarious
Did you notice that the gun Will got out of the closet was a revolver and the gun Molly used to kill Francis was a semi-automatic?
It's true...
If you just watch the scene alone, you can see that Will grabs two guns, the semi-auto, and his revolver. Drops the semi-auto on the ground, which Molly picks up
4:13 I love the "Weeds" Reference! Hell yeah, that show was decent.
I think the original of Red Dragon, "Manhunter" was far superior. While Ralph Fiennes is a supreme actor, the actor in Manhunter was more effective, more chilling, more pathetic. Red Dragon is a good film, entertaining, but standard.
The book was wonderful as well as the movie.
Manhunter is better to me.. I wanted to like Red Dragon because Hopkins, Norton, Keitel and Fiennes are great actors. But Manhunter is superior in my opinion.
The thing that freaks me out about this Hannibal the most is the greasy man ponytail
Yeah, wonder where he gets his hair products? Must be of Migs in the next cell....
It’s not just some guy who plays the flute, it’s Benjamin Raspail, the head in the jar from silence of the lambs ….
An excellent review! If you've ever are sweetbreads, you'd remember! It's a gland! Keep it up, you're aces!
By the way, Hannibal Rising
Wasn't bad at all!!
I'm gonna watch that this weekend!
I adore this film !
I'm glad that you like it , too !
Loved the Red Dragon social media!
Mamma....Just killed a man.
"It's like Lady & the Tramp" only with "Cujo". lol
I’ve seen both Manhunter and Red Dragon. Both good. Manhunter focuses more on Will and how he can put himself into the mind of serial killers. Red Dragon focuses more on Dolerhide.
Btw...sweet plum wine works best
Ray Fienes was incredible in this
Hahaa great video. I love ur channel and all ur videos. But this is awesome. The explanation is exactly on point awesome
U should do a review of the other prequel where it shows hannibal’s childhood
“ hannibal rising” its really good
Decent film but the red dragon tale was done so much better in hannibal.superb show.
Oh please do all the lector movie. They are so good and would to see the revisited. Especially with how far you have come in you reviews. I have bounced around on them and they have tripled in quality.
The tattoo freaks me out every time. And the whole setting the reporter ablaze in the wheelchair. And the weird dating angle.
EVERY LINE IS FUNNY!!! Such good writing in every video
So she didnt make up with her dad again, right? Awww, that's too bad. In Groundhog day they were meticulous about continuity. A necessity in time travel films, eh? Great review.
Love, Meth Baby
(Uh oh, this comment is for happy death day) SIGH. I've gotta get my dorkitude cured!
Your jokes are hillarious!
OK as part of franchise but Mindhunter from 1986 was just so good an unfortunately overlooked.
Yes I would. As long as he gets his supply from the social elites I am game.
...but have you seen Silence of the Hams?
A very underrated film.
i thought she was a blind actress too! there were no weak actors in this film. it was solid despite the director. or in spite of the director.
How are you today I think about things like this I say to myself because you watch movies Like These
I Don't know why I like this movie so much.
I picked it up immediately on the off key flutist. But I've got really good pitch, and I live with a violinist and used to play piano, so I'm predisposed to it
Is this better than manhunter? Aren't they the same story? Scariest part of movie is ho stamp on steroids.
I think the scariest part of this movie and the original was the flaming wheel chair.
For what it's worth, I believed you were talking into a real tape recorder.
Acting!
I'm confused because Silence of the Lambs came out in 1991 and Red Dragon in 2002 so how and why would Red Dragon lead into Silence of the Lambs
Is a remake of a movie based on the previous novel, Manhunt. They set this in the same universe as lambs
Red Dragon Is A remake of manhunter which was the prequel movie to Silence Based in the same universe
What wine goes well with human flesh?
Anything French will do.
Champagne if it’s the flesh of your enemy.
All I have is diet Mountain Dew
Love this review; read the book ☺
You can't pronounce Guillermo? Oh right English speakers have trouble with LL right? We can't pronounce three consonants on a row so we all have issues
Hannible lector scares me when i wake up at 4 to go to work and its dark i think his in my car which is dumb
Hannibal is he dead or not?
Manhunter was better

At the end their home defense gun magically changes from a revolver to a semi automatic pistol. Wat.
I wouldn't say prequel considering Red Dragon was the first book in the series
But in the order of when the movies were made, it is a prequel
Not gonna lie the killer is so hot oh my god what is wrong with me why must I have a crush on serial killers like I think something is wrong with me
Don’t worry, it’s just a movie. It’s fine.
Red wine goes with human flesh.
This video is from five years ago, but Dead Meat just used the Jackass joke on the Manhunter video. Hopefully it was a coincidence.
Someone call him on it! LOL
And... It's been 5 years?!
Wait isn't this man hunter I'm pretty sure it's the same killer and everything just slightly
It's a remake
The tiger scene 😳
I am Jack’s liver…….
I'm totally curious. I'd be at that bbq just for the conversations, right?
Honestly if I had a completely legal opportunity to eat human flesh I would totally take it. Even if it’s just one bite that way I can be like...
“yeah, I’ve eaten human before”
Weird.
Lol
But my question is; who was it the blinde lady touched when the tooth fairy shot himself in the head?
Ralph Mandy, her pervy colleague, Who Mr D shot on the doorstep.
And I've never seen a tattoo reveal as such a slamming emo plot moment, eh?
Died at Jackass.
6:00 hilarious man
i watched bc i crush on ed norton
I am not a little curious. I will stick to sushi.
I think this remake was better then the original
The twitter edit

The Twitter feeds 🤣
2:04 LISP OF silverster from Looney Toones.....

You crack me up.
I prefer Manhunter, I did not like this remake.
💓😁
too much dragon, not ebough stottlemeyer :-)))
#NOGRANDMANO - Lol.
You are too much Newbee
way too many "jokes" in this review. Every scene is followed by a joke...geez. How about some analysis
These jokes are awful
you dont have to make joke for every scene mate.
Thanks for the review, i respect your efforts but not funny for me :)
Fair enough
This was the worst review ever.
Jokes aren’t even funny bro just review the movie
Bill Cosby? Not funny
The New Bee.... when LOL is more than a saying😹
