There was overwhelming evidence that J.W. Milam and Roy Bryant had murdered the 14-year-old in 1955, but they never spent a day in prison thanks to an all-white jury. In the early morning hours of August 28, 1955, Roy Bryant, his half-brother, J.W. Milam, and perhaps several other people, barged into the Leflore County home of a black sharecropper named Moses Wright. In front of Wright's family, Milam and Bryant kidnapped his 14-year-old grand-nephew. The boy's fate would make him a lasting symbol of the horrors perpetrated against African-Americans not just in the Mississippi Delta but in the entire Jim Crow South. His name was Emmett Till.

Kissing like that for the cameras knowing they got away with murdering a child just goes to show the callous nature of their personalities. It's quite disturbing and sickening thinking of people like that existing in society 😠

They and Sheriff Clarence Strider were absolutely loathsome. Very much in contrast to the dignity, decency, strength, and courage of Mrs. Till and Mose Wright. It's Emmett Till's family who will live on in the hearts and minds of future generations of Americans and people around the world. They were and are a gift to humanity.

It’s revolting how the monsters are laughing and carrying on in the “courthouse” and outside the courthouse. Emmett’s mother held her head high and fought for justice for her only child who was beaten, tortured, shot and thrown in a muddy river with a 75 pound cotton gin fan tied around his neck with barbed wire. Just so much evil and disrespect and arrogance it turns your stomach. Who brings their little children to a trial? Someone who wants to look like a family man and human? Emmett was barely fourteen years old and for his life to end over that evil “ladies’” lies. I’m just happy Mamie is with her baby again,,, mother and son reunited in heaven.

The saddest part of all this (besides the obvious) was that shitty excuse for a woman has had the privilege of living a long, comfortable life with the knowledge that her direct actions caused the death of an innocent child. Remember the movie To Kill A Mockingbird. A southern white woman lied on a black man and cause his death and come to find out her own father had raped her, but to save face it was convenient to blame it on a black person. God doesn't miss anything. He knows ever person and he has given all of us time to REPENT and if any if us want to get to heaven this is what must be done. We all need to repent of our sins daily and forgive those we have aught against because if we don't God won't forgive. Ephesians 4:32, Matthew 6:15; Mark 11:26. Deut.32:35 and Romans 12:19. And beside that Emmett belonged to the Lord because he was the first male to open the womb. Luke 2:23.

Bryants store had to close down just over a year later due to the fact that the fieldhands and their families all boycotted it,
Roy Bryants wife lost two sons, and Milams wife lost one son, these two men did not live to see 65, when they were at Moses Wright's house that Sunday morning, Milam asked Moses how old he was, and he said 64 Milam then said if you mention this to anyone or give any trouble you won't live to see 65, suffice to say Moses lived to the ripe old age of 87 after bravely testifying and identifying the killers at the trial,
Both Milam and Bryant died of cancer respectively, Bryant died 14 years after Milam, the same amount of years Emmett Till was when they took his life, and trust me there are a lot more things that happened to Milam and Bryant too much to mention here,

@@Geminitae96 Yes. Roy was more of an accomplice. JW was the much older brother so he was able to manipulate Roy into pretty much doing whatever he wanted him to do. JW used his own gun and truck to kidnap and torture Emmett. Roy was even hesitant at the uncle’s home about executing the kidnapping especially when money was offered. I truly believe Roy and Carolyn, along with JW’s farmhands, were bullied into the whole thing.

I forget the witnesses name, but this person had said Roy came up to him, in court I believe and said “I didn’t do it.” The man said something along the lines of well someone of you 2 did it. Roy said it again: “I didn’t do it. That was Milam that done it, I didn’t do it”. Now Roy Bryant is GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY!! I don’t care what role, he’s guilty. At first I thought his demeanor, look, and all in between in this interview was a smug one…and I still think it is…But, looking at this interview coupled with what Bryant was reported saying (“Milam done it, I didn’t do it”), I see now that his look is one of frustration and utter disappointment and guilt, more than likely due to the fact that he went along with Milam’s plan (of which he clearly didn’t full on agree with), and it went WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too far!! Reverend Moses Wright, his baby boy Simeon, and Reverend Wheeler Parker all testified that Milam was the one with the gun, and that he was “calling the shots”. They also said that when money was brought into the equation, Roy hesitated, but Milam was “having none of it”.
J.W. Milam also oozes guilty, but he appears more conscious enough to somewhat play the innocent card. Bryant however, may as well just scream at the top of his lungs that he, J.W. Milam, “Too Tight” Collins, Herbert, and himself kidnapped, tortured and mutilated Emmett Till , with the extremely tell tell red flags thrown all over the place and guilt written all over his face…smmfh 😡😡😡🤬

One major contrast when you think of the 1950's you think of an era where everybody was prim and proper and sorta uptight....where majority of people were still growing up with a very strong religious background....but yet the hate and ignorance of alot of the youth back then were horrible when it came to black people...it just seems odd how polar opposite things were going on at the same time...and it's a shame that people acted that way and some still do unfortunately but I'm just grateful I was raised to be color blind and right down the street from my house, in my neighborhood... I have basically a mother figure who I've known since I moved here at 7yrs old and she was black and her husband was a white man and he was like my 2nd father in alot of ways also and they had 2 children who were right around my age and we were all like family, they were mixed one boy one girl...and then my mom started babysitting them and my parents were like 2nd parents to them also and I would go to see family with the mom and kids to Baltimore to see the kids uncles and aunts house during the summer, (lol i was like the only lil blonde hair white kid i saw around there, yet i never felt uncomfortable once while i was there....and their kids would go with my family up into the mountains in the country of West Virginia and same exact thing....they never felt uncomfortable or unwelcomed we just both became more apart of each others extended family...and that's the way it should be everywhere!! And love your videos man all this historic stuff is all what I've always been into!!
