ALL those families have blood on their hands for generations to come! Including jurors, sheriff, lawyer, etc

Facts and that lady that got the ball rolling ,,waited until she was on her death bed but I don’t feel she was ever really sorry for what happened. What they did to Emmett was disgusting horrendous and horrifying and just dead wrong!!! His mom is one of the strongest women ever I promise, because I don’t think I would’ve been able to handle it without breaking down to the point of no return!!! She’s an amazing woman and what she decided to do changed the way ppl feel about discrimination!!! All accessories in my view. I believe the Sheriff deliberately fluffed the investigation to give the jurors the opportunity to acquit, and the lawyer knew quite well he was defending hideous child murderers. Just as culpable.
I agree that this was horrible on so many levels. But why would later generations have blood on their hands? They can’t choose their ancestors.
Still heartbreaking all these years later justice was not served

Massive kudos to Collaboraction for this fantastic production, and congratulations to the entire cast for a masterful performance!
Imagine if they had told Mose Wright what happened, they probably could’ve got Emmitt out of town. But then again J.W Milam in his unstable personality would’ve probably killed somebody or everybody in the house.
J.W. Milam was a vicious racist who did the most of the beating on Emmett! He used the same gun he was issued from the army, and it was said that he brutally beat German prisoners with his gun!! Rotten SOB!!
That doesn't make any sense

Actually, it was said that some neighbors DID tell Mose that he needed to get Emmett out of Mississippi. Mamie actually blamed her aunt and uncle for not sending Emmett home. But I agree; had they send Emmett home, those men would have found someone else in that home to brutalize.
@NBC CHICAGO Thank you for sharing such a historically vital crime story with the WORLD!!! High 5!!✋🏻

You can tell and read her body move ment, she's lying, nervous and afraid.
When I saw her hand shaking, I knew there was something wrong, And Second of All, He’s a Boy not A “Man”, proves that she knows nothing about Emmett Till. Look, If She’s nervous, and afraid, Then Clearly she’s afraid of getting caught, and doesn’t want to take any responsibility for It.
@@khakachu7778which I find really strange that she referred to Emmett, a teenager, as a man and yet every single grown african-american man of that time period was referred to as "boy" by white people. Which I also find highly insulting by the way. Literally the only reason that racist cow called him a man was to prove her case that she had a reason to be terrified.
Them calling him a man pisses me off. He wasnt a man, he was a little boy. If he had been a man they wouldve been calling him a boy.
So so true!!!
He was a teenager not a little boy nor a man
This is the dark and ugly true of the united states, thinking of someone killing your child is territory, and the manner in which he died is heart breaking, imaging myself as a fourteen (14) years old and is heart breaking and just can not stop crying. Emmett Louise Till live forever!!!
Emitt was a handsome fun young boy. They were jealous of him. The two men and their wives were pure evil, messed up people. I feel sorry for their children, grand children. They cursed their whole family's bloodline, by wickedly murdering Emitt.
I don't feel sorry for their grandchildren and great grandchildren because they like all the rest of them are enjoying generational wealth stolen from black people. They were evil murdered our ancestors and the Bible says that the sins of the father shall be delivered on the second and third generation. These murders knew their wrong; they have a nature of evil and violence beyond one's imagination.
Jealous?
Naw, that would be an inaccurate depiction of racism.
See, if anyone's jealous, they would have to be human to have those emotions.
@@novathewomanking9675 I agree, jealousy had nothing to do with it. They did it because they could. They knew without doubt, that despite evidence, the hand picked all white all male jury would never convict them.
It was pure hate, fear and ignorance.
I don't like to have hate; but this makes me so angry. I'm just as angry about Carolyn Bryant as the men that committed the kidnapping and the murder.
What really was her damage, truly ?
In Mississippi in 1955, she would have been only too aware of the consequences that her lies would bring.
I think Mrs. Till is one of the bravest people that I have ever heard of. It's instinctive for a parent to protect their child, even in death. So to allow the world to her her beloved son in that atrocious state, was incredibly courageous.
The only solace that consoles me, is that one day Carolyn Bryant and the 4 murderers will have to answer to the judge and jury who really matters. God will judge them.
@@novathewomanking9675
You are correct!
It was hatred, racism, evilness, demonic, the way they kidnapped and killed Emitt Till! I still think though, those evil men and their evil wives, were disturbed in their wicked lives. They were alcoholics, strong drinkers of alcohol. That's why I think they were also jealous of the young, handsome, boy, that had a good life to live. So because of their evilness in their life, they made sure the teenage boy did not live, to enjoy his life.
Cursed their bloodline will forever be 🌚🔮
I rebuke this type and kind of hate in the Mighty Name of the Most High God. Amen.
Amen 🙏🏽
What hurts me as a person is that they swept that warrant under the rug and then Carolyn Bryant was never served with that arrest warrant back in 1955. This shows me that Mississippi doesn't believe in justice for victims of brutal murders and their families. And to hear that Mississippi refused to still have that warrant served on her for his death and kidnapping. But yet she can live for decades by renewing either her state ID or driver's license and they did not catch her all those years. That also shows how the justice system is dirty and nasty. My heart goes out to Emmit Till's entire family. Also it hurts me to know that justice was never served upon her for lying on him. If I lived back then they would not have taken that boy out of that house even if they had guns. I would have put on a fight and told them they are not going to take him anywhere especially if I have a feeling to believe of knowing what I felt that they were going to plan to do to him. I would have stepped in and stopped it. Even though it would be dangerous for me to do so but I believe in their is no change without risk and would be willing to risk protecting him from that happening.
👀NOOOO THE WARRENT PAPERS WERE FOUNDED BY BLACK PERSON;RESEARCH
Vengeance is mine said the lord 🙏🏿
You wouldn’t have done shit
Yea you say that now. As a child in that house you would have done the same thing due to the times and the way it was in 1955. Today if it had happened in our time you may have done differently.
Still happening today ... nothing has changed.
He's just a child 😭😭
Those were two evil evil men Rest ET🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🙏🙏🙏🙏
And one white Wyman carolyn byrant evil azz
There was more than two involved and sad to say but they were not all white.
Thus was a fabulous production and re-creation. It is still baffling to me that this degree of hatred and uncivilized behavior was the daily norm once upon a time. God bless!
In the transcript of the trial the wife testify that he touched her!!!! She lied from the get go!!!!
When Bryant and Milam came to get Emmett, they said they wanted the boys who "did the talking." They never said 😔 about him grabbing her. It was just "talk."
And she is still alive and having reaped the murder of a child. We need to wake up and realize that Whites will never, ever, change because evil 😈 is in their DNA! But all good things come to an end. Amen 🙏
@@rucianapollard7098 Good point. Hard to believe they wouldn’t have mentioned him touching her if it had happened
@@rucianapollard7098very good point. I can't believe I didn't think of that before. And I he had done flmore than talk to her than their original claim that all they planned to do was rough him up a bit until he started making claims that he had been with white women before is also a lie. If she had told her husband he tried to rape her they would've definitely gone there to kill him, it would have supposedly been an afterthought, which I don't believe anyway.

Yes but that's morbid me too though I love history n we can never forget
Whole town was disgusting 😔
He was far from the only child lynched in Mississippi. It's criminal that little or nothing is said about all the others. That poor child couldn't get justice in 1955 or the 2000s. The more things change, the more they remain the same.
Ironically, Biden just signed an anti lynching law or bill in 2022. Duh, why was it permitted in the first place, and it went on for decades. Black people were disappearing on a regular basis..

What I feel is the saddest part of this case is everyone knew Milam and Bryant were gonna get off, they knew it, the town knew it the world knew it, the great lengths that were taken to ensure they didn’t go to jail were sickening, the trial was really just a formality.
One white woman's lie costed this young boy's life. Pathetic!

No prosecutions. The shame of America.
If u really look at the husband he really realized his wife lied about the whole thing in he did what he did for nothing
Great job!!!!
I'm assuming that the DOJ can't charge anyone because there's no one left to charge. If the government can posthumously pardon / acquit someone, they can just as easily posthumously charge and convict them. On a related note, did the FBI even bother to check to see if there wasn't anyone else still alive who was involved?
The woman is still alive. They’ve just made moves to charge her a few hours ago
Other ppl were and I believe they did “too tight” Collings and Loggins were some of the people amongst the mob
I think the FBI tracked down as many of the suspects as possible. Most of them are dead. Only Carolyn Bryant is still alive, and the FBI refused to indite her for lack of evidence. The FBI should have reopened this case 30, 40 years ago when some of these bastards were still alive!!
Carolyn Bryant is still alive, but last year they decided not to criminally charge her. CBS took good pictures of her
She still alive in Carolina she haven't died
They changed up the transcript here, I see. I can't watch anymore. They have changed the original up a great deal. No justice here.

I knew the black man's grandson that helped kidnap Emmett till..and from what the grandson said " milam was my granddad master, and if he didn't do what he was told they woulda killed my granddad and his whole family, what was he supposed to do when all he knew was obey they white man" . That's exactly what he said. And still I said " are u proud of your granddaddy?!" I felt so numb by what he said fact or not. There's no way anyone could do such a horrifying thing. Especially to a child that had no idea of what he did. He was just a kid. Nothing he did was justified enough to even do all that to him. Maybe a scary scolding and a slap ..maybe even send him home. But to kidnap him..beat him to deaths door just to shoot him and tie a 70lbs metal fan to his neck wit barbed wire?! That's just over kill and insane. Clearly he wasn't aware to the southern way of life. Im 1st generation born in the north like Emmett but I knew every time we went down south I KNEW the code. Even in 2023 I knew wassup when I go to the south. Whoever was with Emmett that had more knowledge of how shxt was down there should have made sure Emmett didn't step outta line.
Poor young boy and family! Those days were so inhumane, cruel and just disgusting!! I would of never lived a full life back then, cuz I look at people, not color. I would of gotten myself in a lot of trouble and probably killed for standing up tall against this type of monstrosity! How many times do you hear these people say, person, son, boy, man and human being? Obviously they knew back in those days, we all bleed red! We all are human beings! I truly hate when people are mistreated for anything and always have, even as a kid! My eyes see life, human beings and that will never change!

Does anyone know if this is historically accurate per the transcript of the trial or if they’re filling in most of the blanks ??
Yes, it is accurate according to the transcript, and according to the testimony. However, this is probably 40 pages of a 367 page trial transcript.
And, some of it deserves some explanation to understand the implications.
ALL of Carolyn Bryant's testimony was deemed by the judge as irrelevant, immaterial, and hearsay. In other words, it was a lie. He threw it out. And the jury was not present to hear it.
________________________
Now, the significance of this is the press did not print it. And for 50 years, very few people, outside the Wright/Till family, knew anything about any sexual assault inside the store.
The story, which resounded through the decades, was: *Emmett Till was lynched because he whistled at a white woman.*
Not because he sexually assaulted her.
_______________________
Through the decades the lynch mob was portrayed as vicious cruel murderers who lynched a child over an insignificant infraction.
And it was never a part of accepted historical record that Bryant and Milam killed the "big black beast" to prevent other pure white women from being mauled by a rapist.
We can't be sure because some of the FBI transcript is missing as well as all the court records.

Good evening Mr. Brown. You said; "Emmitt till to be taken into the hands of those who would kill him."
There is a little more to it. The lynch mob in Mose Wright's driveway that early morning consisted of 6 grown men. 2 of them were known killers. 4 had military training, 1 was special forces.
JW Milam was 34, 6'2" 235 pounds. Roy Bryant was 24, 6' 200 pounds.
They had 2 automatic 1911 .45. Which, if fully loaded, they carried 16 rounds. One man had a shot gun.
Their truck was full of gas. They had a flashlight and it was 2:30 in the morning.
___________________________________
Mose Wright was the only adult in the house. He was 64, 5'3" and a preacher. There were no lights in the house, no phone, and his truck sat in the driveway with no gas.
Mose had a shotgun in the closet. (Probably a single shot) And a box of birdshot in his dresser drawer.
As you can see, Mose Wright was extremely out-gunned, out manned, and outwitted.
Moses Wright was trying to protect HIS KIDS. I would never wished what happened to Emmett to happen to anyone, but his whole family could've been killed, including Emmett if he had tried to move toward a weapon. Moses Wright wasn't armed, the white men were armed. The only people that did evil in this case are the white pricks that tortured and killed a little boy.
I Agree!!! Had a whole shotgun in the house!! Didn't do ANYTHING WITH IT!!
@mark9531 DOESN'T MATTER BET HE WOULDNT ALLOWED HIS KIDS TO BE TAKEN
@@thatonekid9754 Good evening thatonekid. You said; He had a whole shotgun in the house.
It depends upon whether you are recounting what his son, Simeon has said for 40 years. Or you are recounting what you saw on last years Hollywood movie, "Till"
Simeon Wright said that Mose Wright had a shotgun in one closet and a box of birdshot in a drawer.
A Single shot shotgun loaded with birdshot in another room is no defense against two men standing in front of you with two .45 auto pistols with 7 rounds each
You said' "He wouldn't let them take one of his sons"
Again, you are quoting the movie. There was never an incident where Mamie saw a shotgun over the mantle in Mose Wright's house.
And there was never an interaction between Mamie and Mose where Mamie accused Mose of deciding who would die. One of Mose's sons or Emmett.
That simply never happened.
__________________________
Your problem is that you are judging based upon 21st century urban standards against a man who was born under Jim Crow, lived under Jim Crow and died under Jim Crow.
IF you had put a fully automatic gun in Mose Wright's hands filled with 100 rounds, Mose would not have fired that gun. And you do not understand that.
