The strength of Emmitt's mother is astounding. Incredible lady.

Can you imagine the amount of hatred you have to have in you to do that to a child?!

Emmett Till's death was not in vain. Mamie Till Mobley's strength and determination surely advanced the cause of social justice in America. She deserves as much recognition as other civil rights activists. Huge respect for her.

I am not an American, but every time I hear about the barbaric, gruesome inhumane murder of Emmit Till I feel so heart broken. This is so so so sad. How can human be so cruel to each other. It looks like nothing has changed in America to this day.

Mamie Till's articulate dignified grace has earned her my utmost respect. She should be honored with a medel of freedom . Her son will never be forgotten, he made a mistake that cost him his life ! But what resulted saved America.

Emmett Till’s story and the story of James Byrd, Jr here in Texas (Jasper) will forever be etched in my brain. These two stories always bring me to tears.
