Thanks man! Was looking for a 996.2 vid, lots of 3.4 vids without the variocam solenoids in the way.
What did you do for your additional required heat shield clearance? Old coil bolts and washers?
Nothing, there was still enough room for me.
Awesome video, super clear and helpful. I'm using jacks, so I had to take the rear tires and mufflers off to have enough room to work.
Thanks for the content, happy driving!
Thanks. I tried my best!
Not too bad. Those quick jacks are nice!
They’re worth their weight in gold haha
just did this last week. couldnt imagine doing this with the mufflers on. although i didn't have the special spark plug tool... and it was a pain with standard 5/16 spark plug socket, extensions and universal joints...
also, you can use a 12pt 8mm socket/ratcheting wrench for the etorx. the torque spec is 7 i think... so dont over do it.
The spark plug tool made all the difference
Did you know there is spark plug tubes that get replaced too in these? Any reason you didn’t replace those too?
I did not know that, and it seemed to only be the coil packs that had the problem.
@@LowBoostFilms they can break and fall into the engine sometimes it seems - I’m scared to change them.
But if you don’t change the tubes; they can leak and oil can drip down onto the plugs, apparently.
