The Los Angeles Police Department is in pursuit of an alleged shooting suspect. We're LIVE with Stu Mundel up in SkyFOX. www.foxla.com/news/lapd-polic...
It’s a great job but unfortunately when AI gets even better, these jobs are going to disappear. Technically drones can already lock on an object and follow it, but only time will tell!
@@Ummmmmkay88 in giant cities a drone would be completely useless because they can only go so far from the launch point where the operator is. As for drones that look like airplanes that the military use wouldn't work for something like this.
In NE Ohio watching! Excellent job LA PD as well as the media helicopter that stayed on it - not forgetting the reporters either. Well done and GREAT tackle. 🙂
How embarrassing, that other states watch, and know how terrible it is to live here, in Ghettofornia..Don't even plan on visiting this crummy state. It may snow there, but the crime is at an all time high here..
Must be frustrating to be a law abiding citizen paying for these losers thru taxes unable to pop these pussies with their own piece but b*tch ass criminals can because it's a communist state enabling chaos
For those of you laughing about the helicopter losing the suspect, remember they're having to remain in a certain spot due to airspace restrictions from LAX. Also, it's a news helicopter. They don't HAVE to keep up with it as long as they come back to it. LAPD Air Support though, that's another story, but even they are limited to FAA rules. I'm honestly surprised the news chopper stayed on him as long as he did. That area is full of airspace restrictions.
That guys in trouble for sure , some sort of accessory after the fact.... If , IF it's true that they knew each other and the car owner came to the suspects aid...
“Don’t let your friends borrow your car” jajaja learned that a long time ago! In AA we say it’s the high price of low living! Thank god I get to help people now!
They would but they’re politicians put them in prison with the criminals. We were lied to about George Floyd. Those cops were dealing with counterfeit money and a violent drug addict resisting arrest, yet they’re all in FEDERAL prison. 🤦🏻♂️
Ppl don’t always realize how dangerous this shit can be. I was almost ran over last summer here in Chicago by a guy in a police chase. This was at like 1am too n I was crossing the street on my way home in the crosswalk n almost got plastered.
Factz, also think the police should stop chasing if it’s something small that the Car was stopped for think there’s more risk in chasing them then letting them go sometimes.
@@tw4313 nobody is running for something small. This guy was suspected of shooting someone. Normally it's armed robbery or car jacking or somebody who has a warrant for their arrest that decides to run. They aren't pulling people over for no front plate and then the guy takes off.
@@derred723that’s why I said small things of course chase someone if it’s a shooting/Murder/robbery or something like that obviously. Most of the times the one running away are getting getting pulled over for Mods/Tints small stuff like that and most of the time those type of drivers will think they can out run the Cops, Also with Plate Numbers they tell everything why put the Public at risk.
Only thing I dislike on chasers is that the morons on the news act like everything is scary. Almost like they have never driven ca car. And always shocked..."he jumped the curb". The guy is trying to get away dingdongs.
Good job LAPD! It's crazy to talk about defunding the LAPD or any PD. True the police department need a lot of work. And I think they need to work more with the community and that's a two way street. I moved back home here in Louisiana after living in Los Angeles for 30 years. In Los Angeles I worked as a 911 operator for the Los Angeles police department. Not all cops or bad I knew officers who really went through it trying to protect people, If the public only knew. There are some good officers out there. And they are still very much needed.
That's cause they aren't murdering your unarmed brother. You will tolerate the misconduct and militarized over reactions because you are not the victim. I would agree that you need police and all police aren't bad. But pretty much all police protect bad police and allow them to continue to selectively protect and serve rather than serve without bias. If you believe in democratic ideals of equality under the law you can't tolerate law enforcement being unjust because they have a racial bias or police unions protecting the misconduct. You can look at the Tyre Nichols case. The police were caught not by other police that were there but because there was a citizens home camera filming them without them knowing it. The police protected their own from misconduct. They are even heard planning there stories after they beat a motorist. And this pursuit video shows you can clearly arrest an armed suspect quite easily with one guy tackling and a few guys jumping on. Yet they beat a kid to death that was unarmed while electrocuting him. All people that want change want is accountability and equal justice under the law. Not tolerance for bad apples and protection by immunity. How can we justify allowing police that abuse citizens and claim to believe in democracy?
"Defunding" means shifting funds away from military tactics and toward more community-type policing; using social workers instead of cops and courts to settle minor squabbles; improving housing, educational, and vocational opportunities so that fewer people feel like crime is the only way that they have to get ahead in life; etc.
@@TheRealScooterGuy yeah that’s retarded. Doesn’t work. Look at Portland for an example, 1 hour wait on 911. Sure hope you don’t need to call for help in your perfect little cop free social worker “utopia”
@@JuPac420 Somehow, in your mind, you completely changed what I said into what you imagined the argument to be. Do we need actual cops? Absolutely. Are we sending cops out to do social work? We sure are. When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. People aren't nails.
