Wow, awesome tractor. It could be the oil cooler gasket though, which would be a way easier fix. I'd get it super clean, get it hot and spend some inspection time on it to be sure!
I was not only sealing the front cover but also the front plate that is sandwiched in between the front cover and block. Inside the timing cover the cam gear sits on top of the plate, so I had to remove it.
Keep up the good work your helping me keep my fleet running.
I'm at that age where I can't remember how everything goes back together. good job !
It’s amazing how well you know where everything goes.
Oh yeah! Time to go for sure! Cleaning off all that caked on grease is oddly satisfying. Nice work as usual! Thanks!!
Very nice 10,you're experience on the 66 series really shines!
Great video, very happy I came across this, I have a 5288 4wd that started leaking upfront but haven't found anything. I suspect this is my problem

Really enjoy these videos. Thanks
Nice job Bud, Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I own 2 of the 66 series Tractors great machines.👍🏻
Yes excellent.
So about the rooster?…. lol nice video
Damn, you got your hair cut 💇♂️, you look nice with short hair. 😊😊
How did you go about putting the vibration damper back on the crank? My next step on the 436 combine engine overhaul.
Nice. I set the woodruff key and started the damper onto the crank by tapping it on, then I got some longer bolts and drew it in evenly.
I have a 1066 IH tractor. Why did you remove the camshaft if you are resealing the front cover? Thanks for any info. you can share.
