I had an old engine builder show me that he used aluminum spray paint on head gaskets to seal them up tight against leaking and it worked. It might not work with modern gasket materials but I thought it was pretty cool. Nice job!!!
Aluminum and gold were the only spray paint colors that were thin enough to use for that. Old hot rodder's trick, saw most use on the steel gaskets if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks
Whenever I grab for the anti-seize, I always start singing, "Oh Oz never did give nothing to the tin man..."
Nice work yet again.
Now that's funny.
Thanks. I will be doing my 986 in a week or so.
Sounds so good
You must be in a IH dense area!😊
👍🏻
Nothing uncommon about oil leaks from the head gasket. Copper coat for head gaskets. I used break parts cleaner to remove oil from the head and block.
Agreed.
Is this engine based on a DT 466 platform?
One could say that, yes.
