Brent struck gold the day you arrived to work for him. Capable of doing so many farming jobs, able to work without supervision, willing to ask questions when you need to, terrific personality, you really are one in a million, or ten million. 👏
I really enjoy your channel, I like the fact that you ask Brent if you could take a break and said Thank You when he gave you permission. Most 23 year olds wouldn't do that these days. Thanks for taking us along
I like your videos from the prospective a dairy farmer. I have a suggestion, either invest in some ear plugs or a set of ear muffs to protect your hearing. I speak from experience as my right ear hearing is about 75% of my left due to a combination of military service and 30+ years of dairy farming.
Loved it, Tay! You’re becoming a natural! You’re mowing lines were never going to be straight mowing in that wet field, but it turned out fine. I’m sure your tractor was slipping quite a bit! That was nice of Brent to Uber your lunch to you, especially since you were not eating lunch at home this day. Thanks for sharing your day, Taylor. Have a great Thursday! 🧑🌾 🚜 🐄 🐮 🐈⬛
Good morning from Wisconsin, I want to say hats off to our farmers. Twice this week I was following some farm machinery and both times they pulled over to let me and other drivers pass. Now that you have that field mowed it should start drying out a little faster and hopefully the rain will hold off also. You International is working, you Kubota is repaired.I hope things keep going better for you and Brent . Great video.😊
It was sure good to hear the sounds of the horse back in action, a farm I worked on years ago had a 1066, and then we had two 1586 which were unbelievable work horses, and the 1066 most of the time I ground feed with, about of all of them my favorite was a 766 that was just in incredible condition, I love those old IH!
Hi Taylor, this mowing and bailing is a tireless exercise. At least it wasn't raining today which you can call it a blessing in disguise. Good to have your favourite International fixed and you should be right for a long time with it. Thanks for sharing how wet the paddock have got from all the rain. Keep safe, Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.
Good Day Taylor, great video. You looked so at home on the Farmall. Loved the mower. Did a great job. hope your lunch was good. Sure looked like it. You did a great job mowing. And that field sure was wet in a couple of places. Maybe after being cut it will help dry the field out. Have a great day. God Bless
Hi Taylor thanks for sharing another awesome video .The IH 1066 really sounds great never misses a beat with the mower on. Over here in the UK we've also had a lot of rain 🌧 so things are getting quite serious. Looks like you have plenty of grass. Take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Great video Taylor. In Eastern Oregon we've had over 10 days over 💯 and most of the others are in the 90's. So we're dry and hot but great harvest weather. Wheat is probably close to finished with onions starting soon, having is never ending. Most will get 4 or even 5 cuttings.
Hey Taylor- Nice to see a New England farmer telling our story. While I feel bad for so many farms out west that do not have enough moisture, we sure could afford to send some of ours to them! Thanks for the idea of what you and Brent did today, have him go ahead in the four wheeler to scout for the wet spots, deal with the same thing here. I am going to discuss with my wife in hopes we can implement a similar approach. I hope you get that feed put up in the best way, late feed is not bad feed, just different. More like second cut than first. Great video for those of us in northern New England. Stay dry.
Worked summers on a dairy farm in N.W. PA. way back in the day. We had two Farmall 450s wide front ends loved those tractors. That 1066 is twice the tractor they were and I see why you like it. Your videos touch people in many different ways. Thanks.
Happy that the weather is cooperating (more or less) so that u can mow! It's nice to see u running the International again and that the Kabota fix is 'relatively' simple and inexpensive.
Your camera work and editing are very good. As for the weather it is challenging this year in a lot of places. Whether you are in the field or the barn you are a joy to watch. I look forward to your next video as always.
Taylor farms, learnt a lot in the past year, and being exposed to different farm systems is great to build the knowledge bank".have a nice weekend Taylor farms.
This is one of those years I'm glad I'm farming and trying to get hay in! My gas gauge is a stick! We took a few cans of sardines to eat if we got hungry!
Have you or Brent ever thought about planting forage sorghum or sorghum sudan since you don’t plant any corn? The bmr gene 6 varieties feed really well. We plant some every year and about half gets baled and wrapped. Keep up the good work!
As usual, great video Taylor. I was wondering if your return row would be straight. Whenever you try to cut across a field like that, you can never bring it in straight! I know all about that those many years ago working for my Dad. No matter how you tried, straight as an arrow for the first 5/8 of the way and suddenly you can't buy a straight edge!! Happy the ol' Int'l is at peak performance. The mowing job for the most part looks really good! Hope the rain stays away. You don't need any more "mudlage videos"!! Thanks for the ride-along!!

Nice to see the 1066 back to work! Simple fix for the Kubota is good news. With the limited run time with diesel in the oil, it has gotten a great engine flush to boot.
I can relate to the wet fields, I had to rake some hay out of the standing water onto dry ground for it to dry. It was a little muddy but the cows will eat it I'm sure. BTW I have a Krone disc mower and I like it better than a Kuhn, but any disc mower is better in damp hay than a sickle bar is. Great to see a young person so capable and loving farming.
Have to agree with one of the comments, great personally good worker too able to be left on your own it may be nothing to you but I'm sure your boss enjoys having you there, good on you

Very nice video Taylor. You did an excellent job mowing and not getting stuck. You operated that equipment like a real farmer. You are right summer is going by fast. That temperature change you feel in the field can really put a chill on, especially if it drops 30-40 degrees, always keep a jacket or sweatshirt with. Glad your International is running like a champ again. Stay safe and healthy Tay.
Hi taylor. Glad the tractor is back .How many acres in the field you cut. Enjoy the weather while it lasts. Love the video. Say hi to Brent. Have a nice weekend.

Great video! Just stumbled on your channel, I really appreciate your approach and filming/editing style. Last year sure was a doozy - it was a rough haying year in MA, but I kept hearing ME was even worse. Glad you got through it!

@@tayfarms thanks! And same re: grass growth. Despite being the most challenging hay year I’ve ever had, I broke all yield records. Glad it came out okay (or even well) for you too!
Hey Taylor, want to say keep up the good work! Love seeing how you guys do things compared to here in Wisconsin. A lot of similarities. I was wondering what kind of cow is Greta? Cows look so happy and clean. Great job you and Brent!!
Taylor I was thinking when you were showing us the field the 1066 would have no issue with power in cutting that tall thick hay. If you have an extra plastic or metal small tool box bolt a couple magnets to the bottom. Place on the 1066 fender to store stuff. God bless you
You can take the tractor away from the girl but not the girl from the tractor. Great video though, you’re getting the same weather we have been getting all summer, it’s a shame to rip up the fields cutting hay but it has to be cut. We are expecting a wet fall as well. Take care.
Hi Taylor. Scrolling threw google. You probably already know but there is a new cattle and dairy dewormer from Zoetis called Valcor. Prescription from vet needed. Have a nice weekend.
I love your videos. I hope you don't mind me saying. I know you can't help having to spread manure with what you have due to the costs of upgrading to better equipment costs a fortune. However, when you plan to spread liquid manure with an open tractor, make sure you check the weather forecast to make sure there's no strong winds coming. One farmer was spreading liquid manure with an open tractor like yours and the wind picked up and the wrong way and it blew a load of liquid manure on him and all over the read part of his tractor where he sits.
According to Google there is only 221 dairy farms left in Maine , I'm in East Tennessee and love looking up the dairies across the country, just wondering what county you guys farm in ? And if you know the total dairy farms there . Love the videos so keep them coming, be safe out there and God bless
Just started watching, but I would urge you to wear earplugs. Those old Binder open cab tractors are so LOUD! They made my Dad nearly deaf over the years!
To anyone watching those differential locks only help when at least one wheel must be on solid footing as most people know, however you can destroy the axle gears if you turn with heavy equipment on rear and have a full bucket on the front loader ..it cost me $8 grand on my Massey 231.. todays tractors are not over built like in the old days.
Hi Tay, I forgot to mention in my comment that i mow alll fields like that unless they are really small, i go 6 times around the outside with 13’ mower and /or 8 time with 10’ mower to have room at end of fields to come out of windrows with tractor n baler especially if square bailing then I split field in middle and mow out, less travel at end of field to travel without mowing and have less short rows all in middle less sharp turning around especially with square baler and wagon. Hope that makes some sense lol 😊
