while thoroughly searching for a power supply for my pc, i came across the power supply you chose and I noticed its atx 2.4 and in the video you really emphasized the importance of atx 3.0 for the future. can you tell me the thought process behind the decision please as i am having a difficult time to chose mine. I am kinda on a budget but the future is important to me as i wanna invest once in a component to keep me covered for as long as possible. Thanks!
I purchased all of these parts last November and there was a noticeable premium on ATX 3.0 PSUs at the time. I was right at the budget limit and the XPG PSU helped me stay under budget and was good enough to handle my setup. If opting for an ATX 2.x PSU frees up more room in your budget to get a better GPU, it might be worth it. But the premium on ATX 3.0 PSUs doesn't seem to be as significant anymore, so if you have a moderate budget it shouldn't be hard to fit one in.
