    Are you currently hatching out and feeding baby brine shrimp? If so, which hatchery are you using?

      I think it makes it so much easier. If you shake it as you pull it out like I did in the video none of the eggs stick to it!

    How much salt are you using now on that brine shrimp hatchery. What is your experience with it now. How much works best. Can you express that with the number of eating spoons. Thanks in advance.

    Brother what's the correct ratio of salt (in grams) to add per litre of water ??

  • @AaronScutt
    @AaronScutt 4 года назад +1

    I use the same hatchery from Aquarium Co-op. I hatch one large batch every week or so and make BBS ice cubes. It's a lot of work because I sift for unhatched eggs and rinse the salt water off. This gives me at least a week of twice a day for my grow out 10 gal. though! Anyone have tips for dealing with unhatched eggs that concentrate at the bottom?

    • @OtterCreekAquatics
      @OtterCreekAquatics  4 года назад

      Hey sorry buddy, I just seen this. Usually after I tank the air off of them and everything starts to settle ill take a butter knife and stir those eggs off the bottom! Im glad its giving you success!!!

    • @skalarfreak
      @skalarfreak 4 года назад +1

      you can use a small neodyn magnet on a string to get rid of them, they will attach themselves to the magnet.

    No one ever uses the base? I would like to see one video with examples why they don't.
    Also, What's the info on how that smaller hatchery you have works?

    • @OtterCreekAquatics
      @OtterCreekAquatics  4 года назад

      I am going to make a video on the smaller one as well so stay tuned! Also, not using the base sounds like a good video to make! Short answer being it’s easier to drain when it’s hanging and less components to move when you have to clean

    • @commoncurt4569

      @@OtterCreekAquatics Ah, okay. If you don't mind. How much salt and eggs does the smaller one take?

    Please don't hang this on the side of your tank you guys. I bought one yesterday, hung it on the side of a tank that was probably a bit small (60L) and it was fine until I went to bed. Got up 7 hours later to find the tank drained, killing about 50 month old goldfish fry.
    It's a LOT of weight to hang on the side of the tank, and if I hadn't been so busy & had thought about it more, I'd have waited and made a rail to hang it from. Hope someone can learn from my loss.

    Bro the quickest way to lose viewers and followers that are just learning this hobby?? mention a sponsor, or hawk a brand, At that point you lose all credibility. I get it you want to make money and all. But once you hawk a product or ride a sponsor's jock strap im out, And a LOT of us armatures that have burned in the hobby feel the same way. I just want to learn. I don't want to be sold on anything. SMH,, because your vid started out so well.
