I made my first cat... A practice sample. Not hard at all. I love it WITH the border. I agree, something flashy, I'm going to have it for her at Christmas, gives me plenty of time to do my other planned projects also, thanks again!

Thank you for breaking this down. I’d appreciate a strip piecing approach as well as fabric requirements - even perhaps using a layer cake for lots of cat variety. I was looking for this exact block for a fast gift quilt.

It appears that the ears' points will be lost when sewing the blocks together. There is no seam allowance at the ear points.
