Cheers man enjoyed that. Raging Bull, 1980. Scorsese film, Deniro, Pesci, and even that fella that plays Billy Bats. For a western, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I think you'd like em

The real people were even crazier than the movie shows. Jimmy and Tommy were basically serial killers and loved telling stories about how they whacked this guy or that, how they dismembered corpses, etc., laughing the whole time. Hill was terrified of them and constantly tried to start businesses away from them, but they always found out and would worm their way into whatever he was doing. He became a massive drunk and drug addict because he lived in constant fear of his friends and associates, and those problems destroyed his life in witness protection.

Theres a channel on here that goes over the real life people involved in the lovetanza(sp) heist. Stacks Edwards was only 31 when he was killed, but he was associates with a bunch of the mob guys including Jimmy Burke and Henry Hill.

Ahoy Cap'n! Good to see you, brother! If I've seen this one, it has been a long time. Growing up I was never too big into the gangster movies, I wouldn't know much about this or the Godfather movies or Scarface. Just seen bits and pieces. Cheers!
Edit: I just got to the part about you talking about Red Dead Redemption 2. I played the story line over the last few months and was so blown away! Now I'm having fun with the online version, I've got about 150 hours on the game now! I played the original RDR back on xbox when it first came out but this one blew away all expectations. If you ever do online and play on PC, let me know!
Edit 2: There's a 90's comedy western called Maverick with Mel Gibson and Jodi Foster (who you just saw in Taxi Driver!) It's more comedy than serious Western like you're talking about but it's a fun watch never the less that you should check out!

Basically he told her, “your son and his friends came over at 3am, and you make them food.” He didn’t tell her that they had a body in the trunk, because the character would not have known, and it would have affected her performance.

Henry got busted for dealing dope again in the 90s, so no, he didn't stay clean.
Henry wasn't nearly as important and charismatic as the movie would suggest. Real life Henry looked and sounded more like a scrawny hustler with substance abuse problems and real life mobsters said he was basically a nobody.
Michael Franzese said in one of his podcasts that they used his name in the movie just because they knew it but he wasn't part of the family depicted.

Very interesting. Yeah i saw Michael had a video about goodfellas but I waited after I watched the film to watch his video. He said Ray Liotta did too good of a job playing Henry and made Henry look much better than he was

Great reaction to one of the best movies ever! You have got to see DeNiro and Pesci in Raging Bull. It’s also a Scorsese movie, about boxing legend Jake LaMotta. The Clint Eastwood westerns are iconic- just amazing. At the very least, watch them yourself. I also like Tombstone and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. But I watched John Wayne westerns when I was a kid. Stagecoach, The Big Trail, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, etc. Still great.
