When I was a kid, maybe 12 or so, I found the book "Scarface" on a park bench. I had to see the movie after, and found it in my parents' VHS tapes. I think it traumatized me, I had nightmares for months after, LOL! Thank you for the reaction. By the way, Miami is really nice. I was there a few times.
Yeah if I watched this at 12 years old it most definitely would have traumatised me too!! 😭
YOU BOUGHT THAT LINE😂
MAYBE YOU AND SOSA KNOW SOMETHING I DONT KNOW?!
@@CaptainTinny YOU want ME to believe Omar was a stoolie because Sosa said so?
Ahoy Cap'n! Co-Cap here, and I gotta be honest; I've only seen bits and pieces of this one! This one is old enough (shit, I was born in 82 so it's almost as old as me) and I just never got around to watching it but I knew enough about it that watching you watch it doesn't spoil anything major for me. I'm pretty sure you have more coming up in 2024 that I'll have to make sure I catch the movie before I watch your vid! But I'm still gonna pop in and say what up of course. Hope you have a great week, homie and have a great Australian Summer Christmas! (I can't imagine Christmas in Summer!)
AHOY-HOY! 🧑🏻✈️ yeah mate Christmas in summer is definitely interesting to say the least lmao! I’m sweating buckets while opening presents 💦 also what state are you in? I feel like you might have told me but I am forgetful 😅
@@CaptainTinny Probably never mentioned it but I'm in Virginia on the East Coast! Crazy time difference so I'm always way late on your videos!
@@SmashAdams216 ahhh yes! I’ve heard rumours and whispers of the majestic mountains and ski slopes ⛷️
@@CaptainTinny I'm certainly no skier, but my lady and I love camping in the mountains every Autumn to catch some nice scenery! Majestic indeed! Which part of Australia are you from? I have 2 friends who moved from Virginia to Sydney so I see a lot of pics from there, but I know there's so much more!
Tony was powerful but the meeting with Sosa is a real eye opener of how small he truly is, in a room full of real powerful men. Tony was fighting over city’s while Sosa and his associates were fighting over country’s.
Fax! Well said
Early on, during his first meeting with Sosa, Tony was eating the lemon out of the finger bowl you're supposed to use for cleaning your hands. He really was the peasant Omar said he was and he had a chip on his shoulder about it, but he forgot there is always a bigger, hungrier shark.
Glad u really liked the film.👍 always been one of my favs. Definately on my top 10
1. The first time I saw this was in a Nightclub (during the day for lunch) in Olongapo City in the PI. Hooked immediately!😎
2. Steven Bauer/Manny is the only true Cuban in the main cast.
3. Miami didn't want this filmed there because it would make the City look bad. Most outside scenes were filmed in LA.
4. My biggest takeaway was how fast Sosa got his team to rain on Tony.😱
Personal comment, Castro's now room temperature, but Grandpa Joe is inviting EVERYBODY into the USA now with the same results.
Steven Bauer was so good in this. Enjoyed his character so much
My interpretation of the scene where Tony whacks Frank Lopez and Mel. I have always thought that the reason Tony dismisses Mel's status as a cop, is because he is literally a crooked cop. Some one who takes bribes and uses this standing to make a profit and extort money from "honest" criminals like Tony. He detested the whole idea that Mel could be a "cop" when he behaved like a mobster. Dirty cops, even to me, are the worst. They try to get the best of both worlds: money from crime, and authority and power from being an agent of law and justice.
🔥 CLASSSIC
★ - *Goodfellas* (1990)
★ - *Bl00d In, Bl00d Out* (1993)
★ - *Carlito's Way* (1993)
★ - *Pulp Fiction* (1994)
I don’t know what blood in blood out means but I just love that title hahah
@@CaptainTinny it's a underrated movie (cult classic)100% recommend it.
Bl00d In, Bl00d Out means Sangre por Sangre (Latin G4ng Reference)
good vibes from Chile new sub+1
Lol, Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz.
Great reaction!
Some suggestions to react to ...
Pulp fiction
Boondock Saints
True Lies
the MCU starting w IRON MAN
12 monkeys
Was looking forward to this reaction and you didn’t disappoint ! In terms of suggestions, I would love it if you checked out some Hitchcock films. He is considered one of the best directors of all time and you’d be missing out if you didn’t give him a try. Rear Window would be a great one to start with. Also would love to see you watch a classic rom-com like When Harry Met Sally.
2nd for Rear Window. James Stewart is the best.
Ohhh yeah a cheeky romcom could be fun 👀
What are the odds Ernie killed that bottle of Jack Daniel's after the "you wanna job" scene?
Ernie definitely made short work of that bottle hahaha 🤣
This movie was actually filmed in LA. They didn't film in Miami because the Cuban community didn't like how this movie made them look.
Well they bloody fooled me
Captain can have Michelle Pfeiffer .
I can have Captain .
I guess we all want what we can't have :-( lol
If you like Al Pacino, then I highly recommend that you watch HEAT &
SCENT OF A WOMAN. 😀😊
Yeah he was so good in this I legit thought he was an actual Cuban 🇨🇺
Okay, so I have two suggestions, depending if you like (intelligent?) comedy or pure form action movies more. For comedy, I would recommend one of my all time favorites, Fish Called Wanda starring Jamie Lee Curtis, John Cleese (!), Michael Palin (the *other* guy from Monty Python!), Kevin Kline and many other talents. Super super funny film about a jewelry heist and its aftermath. For action, I would recommend Ronin starring (such cinema legends as) Robert NeDiro, Jean Reno, Sean Bean (will he die in this one? watch it to find out), Stellan Skarsgård, Jonathan Pryce, Natascha McElhone and so on... Such a master piece that just throws you into the action without long background stories. You can figure out some things along the way, but the main focus, is The Mission and The Action. Still to this date, the best car chase scenes and car stunts.
Gina was drugged by Tony's men to calm her down but that was a temporary solution. Even if Sosa's men hadn't shown up and Gina lived and eventually sobered up, she would've never forgotten what Tony did to her new husband
My favourite film ever made and I’ve watched a lot of fucking films Al Pacino a goat
I’ve already re-watched this since I made this video lmao 🤣 it’s soooo fkn good
@@CaptainTinnyagreed ! I first saw it when I was like 12 now I’m 22 must’ve watched it 100+ times minimum 😂 glad to hear you liked it and good reaction too ! Keep it up , if you haven’t seen paid in full or goodfellas/casino I recommend
Michelle pfeiffer, steven bauer, robert loggia RIP
im tony montana a political prisoner from cuba
I have the song on spotify
Lol michelle pfeiffer good actress
"he actually did it!"
Lol yes when it comes to organized crime and Latin America? They're the true kings imo. Surpassing my distant Italian relatives for top spot of most intimidating gangsters.
Used to be Colombians and the Cubans during the first big coke rush as depicted in this movie. But nowadays? Top spot is the Mexican Cartels.
I'd say they easily rival ISIS & other terrorists in terms of the brutality they commit and share online. Scary stuff. Going to have to wait another 20 or 30 years before we start getting truly legendary and iconic Mexican Cartel movies since there's way too many corrupt politicians involved with them both in Mexico and the US.
Once they all retire and die i guess is when movie companies can start producing lol
Steven bauer was manny
Only problem with a Chainsaw , seems rather messy lol
It’s getting hot & messy & slippery 🥵
Biden did the same thing Fidel Castro did in this movie
