I lived in Topanga in the early 1980;s. I would visit the time tunnel and travel down the creek to twin lagoons where occasionally a group of Venice beatnicks (right out of the 1950's) would meet, recite poetry and smoke the evil weed. One was Louie and he actually owned the Moon Fire Temple at the time which included all the major religions. I think i heard it was one half of a square mile at the time.

You two took me back... back in the mid 90's, when attending Venice High School, my buddies and I used to go there at night time. Thanks guys!!!
I live in Topanga and have been wondering why there are people walking along the side of the road in that area, because it is very dangerous. Now I know! Great video!
I live in los angeles and thanks to both of you i will try and go see all these amazing places.
That's awesome!
I wanna see Bethany’s pink tunnel.
There was a large concrete drainage tunnel near to where I grew up. As kids we walked thru the woods and played there. It was about 10 feet square and a few hundred feet long. It passed under Interstate 20.
When I was a teenager it came in handy knowing it's location. My car was broke down at the time and I bought an old motorcycle to get around for a few weeks. Being a teenager and needing my money to fix my car, I didn't waste a bunch of money buying tags and insurance for 'the bike'. I happened to be in a little hurry on a 'frontage' road that paralleled the interstate one day. A Deputy Sheriff decided to turn around as I passed him. I didn't know what he was doing but thought it would be better if we didn't stop and talk. I rode down the embankment and thru the 'tunnel'. When I came out the other end it was a different time! I was enjoying a slow ride along a path in the woods and no one was wanting to bother me. What a drastic change in time, in just a few moments!
Great video and Glad to hear from yall. Take Care and be safe, John
It's Saturday morning in Minnesota and your video is complimented by a first cup of coffee...

Thank you again for the break from the crazy. That was so peaceful and calming. What ever planet that was I want to visit. Hope the reentry to Earth went ok.
Beach Boy Dennis Wilson (1944-1983) had a home in the canyon. He picked up two hitchiking girls off of PCH. This started the invasion of his home by the "Manson Family". Topanga Canyon Blvd. is at the west side of the San Fernando Valley. It runs into the Santa Monica Mts. On the east side of the valley (a natural break in the Santa Monica Mts.) is Verdugo Pass. The traditional and ancient geological exit from the valley. Hitchhiking from the valley (in the 60's-70's) over Topanga Canyon, all the way to the beach was the cheapest, fastest way to get to the beach as a teen. The Manson family was living up in Spahn's Ranch in the Santa Susana Mts (Simi Hills.) Coincidently this was pretty much at the northern end of, Topanga Canyon Blvd. Charlie probably had the girls out hitching to see what they could come up with. They scored big with Dennis Wilson.
You two are the best explorers on the tube. You find such interesting places and you share there location with us just in case we might sometime be in the vicinity of one of them. So many of the explorers on RUclips keep their finds a big secret.
Cue creepy music while approaching tunnel 👍🏼🤣
Have you seen their trip to the abandoned KEA grain storage mill? Super creepy. Check the video here > ruclips.net/video/4ExnS0FpKzg/видео.html
Another great video!!! Keep up the great work!!!
A nice video for a UK Saturday afternoon.
A magical place where the camera man is there before you are. :-0 Nice relaxing place but I wouldn't go there without a gun.
Really enjoyed this fun little episode. You guys have great chemistry together.

Liked the camera work on the mini- waterfalls. Nice job!
Thank you Drew and Bethany for this video. I went to there to take some photos for fun a few days ago. When I arrived, I have to swear that without the help of this video, I don't think I would have ever found this one on my own! Your abilities at finding hard to locate spots should be commended! Thanks!!!
Very cool!!
I wish we had places like this in Detroit! Thanks guys!!
Great video!!! I'll try it in 2022, so the future... thanks for sharing!!!
I wish I had someone to go on mini oddity adventures with. lol Another great episode!
Let's go 💯
Count me in.
This is my first time stopping by your channel and watching the videos. You guys are really cute and I love to watch hiking in Topanga Cyn.
Thank you for your usual great videos -- ❤😂❤😂.
“Topanga Cyn” I remember it well. 💞 miss you guys and you Vlogs...... I ❤️ LA as well 🚒🚒🚒🚒❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing your adventures with us 😑
Very good, and I'm gonna probably take a small lightweight ladder if I go to this one,(drag some friends along for it),.have you two went to Switzer Falls? Or Mount Disappointment which has an old missile tube? Also a Nike Mistletoe site near Whittier Narrows Recreation Park, just inquisitive and glad this video showed up I needed an Oddity Oddesy fix,Thank You.
Another superb episode.
Love your adventures.
Very fun video, as always,, and I was just in that area a few weeks ago with two friends who would totally dig that tunnel. But I'd have stayed in the tunnel and fast-forwarded through the rest of 2020! 😆
We certainly tried! Might be worth another visit? Stay safe, friend!
Bethany looks slim and super cute in this episode!
That was a pretty cool exploration! It would be something to be standing below that tunnel on its far side when a flash flood comes through it. That would take some planning and timing in order to be down there before a heavy rain storm hits. Nice creek area below that drainage tunnel! Thanks for taking some time to show that and the little waterfall.
That would be awesome! Great suggestion. Thank you! :)
Another fantastic video. Thanks to both of you for sharing your adventures with us. Keep up the great work. See you next time.
That was fun and interesting. Glad to see you, have missed you ! Love your channel.
Topanga Time Tunnel seems to be another way of saying "You've been pranked." Enjoy your odysseys, Drew and Bethany. Please keep 'em coming!
I miss you guys, glad to see you guys back.Another great video thank you me and my kids have visited couple of places you guys have posted!

Love this so much. Nothing better than local adventures. Stay safe! :)
Love your videos!!!!!! 🇨🇦
This was a fun video! I lived in Agoura Hills for a few years and I always remember being excited when I would find a nature surprise
Nature surprises are the best! Are you surviving the heat in your area?
@@OddityOdysseys barely! I am escaping to Glacier National Park on Thursday for a vacation. Thanks for asking!
Checking email is always brightened when I see I have a new video from you to watch. Then the decision watch NOW or later and know I have a treat waiting for me. OK could not wait, NOW it was and thank you for always brightening my day.
Note to self check out ZOOM stock today. :)
It looked like the tunnel came out in a magical Forrest in a fairy tale.
Great video! I immediately wonder if you pack snacks.
Love you guys and your video's
You two are my favorite you tubers
This feels like premise for a choose your own adventure book
Hollow earth. Interesting video as always.
Best channel on RUclips
I have really enjoyed watching your video's. I am 5 hours east over here in Phoenix AZ, and there are a lot of places I'd like to see next time I cross over into Cali-land. Keep up the good work, thanks for excellently made videos worth watching :-)
Top content, well framed
Second comment! Always enjoy these videos! :) Stay safe !
Watching this looking down, i'm thinking i'd love to skate through that thing. Then @ 3:39 Drew "Did you bring a skateboard?" (edit) @ 4:38 maybe not....🤣
Tight!
oh, it's definitely magical on the other side. Beautiful, peaceful, if I wasn't 3k miles away, I would so love to take a trip through time, can you guys maybe beam me over? Just FYI, I tend to get motion sick lol
You mentioned that you did not know how the storm drain got to be called the time tunnel but I would like to propose a guess. In 1966 there was a short-lived TV series called “The Time Tunnel.” I have a feeling that prior to that time it had no name.
We enjoy your adventures since we came across them a couple of years ago. Besides the bridge to nowhere, have you done or know of good "OO"-worthy places around Alhambra?
Alright!! watching as i type :D
Coool
this was a cool place
Another great show, thank you! Looking good Beth, loss some too! You know if you run out of interesting places to show and wanted to spread out to other states, I'm sure others like myself would be willing to donate to help cover the cost. Just a thought
Hi Donal! Being able to travel full time to film episodes in our other states is definitely the goal. Thank you so much for watching! We do have a Patreon set up with $1 and $2 tiers. We're pinching all the pennies and will hopefully be able to branch out soon. Take care! www.patreon.com/oddityodysseys
How do I access it? The contribution that is.....
Interesting I never heard of that spot. I was dumb in high school and rode my bike on Topanga Canyon. It wasn't nearly as busy as now.
There is a semi-secret spot trail off Malibu Canyon kind of like this where people go to check out the Rindge Dam. A guy died there a couple years ago so I heard the made it tougher to get there now. Kind of a freaky place and not good place if you are afraid of heights.
Well I guess it is a time tunnel it was filmed a year ago and I'm looking into the past now watching it . Thanks 😊
what's the name of the creek?
Was it super steep and hard to get back up the tunnel? Or quite easier than it looks?
A little easier than it looks! At first, we thought it would be a trek, but once we got our footing, it was much easier than going down the tunnel.
@@OddityOdysseys Thank you for the respond. WILL defenitely check it out. Love your content haha
Thanks for another video. Its always so long between videos..too bad you cant put one out every week or 2..BUT thanks for what you do always!!
We definitely have some plans to release more bonus content over the next couple of months. Not full episodes, but they're places definitely work a stop. Stay tuned! :)
How 'bout 2022 with a Covid-19 vaccine. Really enjoy you guys!
if i'm not mistaken, isn't the bacteria level in the water kind of high?
I couldn't go the way you guys went. It's interesting but there has to be a marked path that is easier to arrive there.
Im à valley boy .....and i love it
really wish you'd try this during a rainstorm... meet ya at PCH!
Sounds like fun! And we just bought a kayak anyways!
Ha to the Zoom stock suggestion. I kept thinking it was already too high too. 🤦♂️
Do you guys only Explore LA primarily? Should venture out to Northern Nevada
We do since we live in the area. Looking forward to branching out soon! We've heard there are some amazing places to check out in Nevada.
@@OddityOdysseys Explore the ghost town of Bodie for starters. Going over Tioga Pass is a thrill too. My wife and I made the drive up and over at night. I wondered why my headlights picked up nothing as we went around curves. Ignorance really is bliss. I enjoy your adventures, a lot. Thanks.
Oddity Odysseys matters.
been ther a couple of times. there is a car grave yard in one section where all the cars that flew off the ro and landed.
Is that clean water you can drink
I just watched this today and as I was plugging in the coordinates on my gps Rikki Rockett dropped a video on his Legend Tripping channel about the tunnel. Apparently he’s tried to contact you about doing a collaboration. That would be awesome.
Was the climb back up the drain hard?
Easier than it looks! But we definitely recommend wearing some good shoes. :)
Did you bring a skateboard?
Time travel happens during flash flood when one’s life flashes before one’s eyes as one drowns.
insta 360 one r? Cool Video
Thanks for this uncommon gem! Also, did Beth sound a bit weird when talking? Or is it just me?. Anywho, great video! 👍
We used to call it the tunnel spot.20 years ago it was different.
"" QUARTZ UNDER THE WATERFALL.!!!!!!! HUMMMM.!!!!! ""
Hi👋I'm a New Subscriber to Your Channel😊
Hi there! Thanks for subscribing.. So glad to have along. :)
@@OddityOdysseys You are Welcome
Here’s what I got out of this you’re traveling to a place that hasn’t been touched yet by man and it is set to be a cleaner future for years to come
Great episode but I bet the climb back was fun.............
Stay outta Topanga Lebowski!!!
Didn’t JessieStLouis make a video about this too? Awesome! Although I think he kept the directions hidden lol
Yes he did!
@ 5:52 does Bethany’s ankle touch poison oak?
Alas, we thought so at first, but ended up being in the clear!
