This is the most extensive comparison I have ever made; I cover a lot, but please let me know if you have any questions. Here is my full RONIN 4D Review ruclips.net/video/Xl8EmT70Yx4/видео.html
@@eliapavoni2275 they are many good cameras that are as good as the 4D. But the good thing about not having a 4D it’s the amount of accessories and lenses available for the system. For example, with the 4D you are limited in the amount of lenses available. And you have to use lenses that are light weight. But with a designated gimbal your options are limitless. But as always everything comes down to personal preference mate!
It looks like you have a much wider lens on the 4D … that must have an effect on movement ? A longer lens is far more likely to show movement in your walking shots ? Right ?
Great video as always I’ve got the 4D but want the mini tripod you are using but can’t find details for it Help me out by supplying the link please buddy
Hi Peter, question about the basic Ronin 4D gimbal settings. Do the RS2/3 settings apply also to the 4D in terms like deadband and everything. Will there be coming a ronin 4D setting tutorial? Thx
Thanks for the good comparison. Do like the design of the 4D, but having to buy into DJI's camera ecosystem makes it a complete non-starter. DJI needs to release a z-axis stabilization gimbal for use with other cameras, and a motorized slider to go with it.
Hey Peter! How are you liking the 4D?I was wondering if you could recommend any (low budget) solutions on carrying the 4D to prevent back damage - much like the Gimbal Strap you posted recently. Would love to see a follow up/update video on the 4D, maybe covering accessoires - there's a draught for high quality 4D content! ♥
There are a couple of typos in the video that I've noticed, not sure if you're aware of them. 1:56 to 2:03 1. POV is spelled as pow 2. Timelapse is spelled as Timelaps 4:10 I believe this is supposed to be "tracking" instead of "trucking" There are also a couple of inconsistencies with captalization throughout the video. It'll be better if there was someone to proofread your content before posting them.
Your point about cost of complete system vs complete system opened my eyes to the possibility that I might one day go the 4D route. Just did the math with my setup and would be about the same cost for a 4D....that blows my mind.Cheers.
Fantastic video, very in-depth great job. Im happy with my RS2- A7S3, but the 4D is a game changer for certain filming situations. Lenses limitations is my main issue with the 4D. Maybe version 2 in 3 years has solved more of these issues.
Something about you keep calling the Ronin 4D a "gimbal" bothers me, and I'm pretty sure the engineers at DJI who put their all into making a cinema camera with a built-in gimbal feel the same way.
Great video! Very good comparison. Your 4D footage looks amazing 🤩 I own a 4D as well but my walking shots with the z-axis are not as smooth as yours. Did you do something special for calibration? I film with the Sony 35mm 1.8. And is your z-axis in lock mode with track activated?
Rigtig god video, synes jeg kan høre du kommer fra Danmark hvis ja, så pisse fed video. Går selv og overvejer DJI Ronin 4d, så tusind tak for review :)
Great video Peter. The 4D looks amazing🙂 But in The Movement shot it look very robotic compare to RS2, are they in the same focal length? And how is it to color grade the 4D video format?
Price may be a bit higher for the Ronin 4D compared to the complete RS2 setup, but factor in the convenience and ease of use and it'll be easier to see how the Ronin 4D has a good value for money too!
You should review the Letus Helix 3-axis. It's amazing. I own 4 of these and it is in between the Ronin 4D and a typical RS2 / Crane 3S. Basically it's the power of the Crane 3S, but with the comfortable form factor of the 4D.

That 4D looks so good! But when looking into gimbals, most likely you already own a camera so the rs2 it’s 7 times cheaper.
Correct mate. I see it as an additional tool.
Yeah but you have to own a camera good as the 4D

apparently he's too busy
Both gimbals are fantastic. I can't tell the difference in the shots, and doubt my clients would either. I wouldn't kick either out of my camera bag.

Double like
Cool vid, but I knew the 4D is leaps and bounds better before I even clicked on it.
Mainly because it comes with a whole cinema camera LOLZ

Hm, I like the first video better (Rs2) 😮👍 do you think this year we will see a RS3? 🤷♂️
I don't think so, but who knows... I would love to se a redefined Ronin M.
may I know which $1500 lens you used with the dji Ronin 4D ?

also many typos in his $300 course.

8:30 ofc it’s the ronin. I can tell by the way it has the dynamic range and digital sharpness of a fcking gopro
May I ask what kind of carrying strap you use for the ronin 4d? Thank you
Ha. I couldn’t see the difference and I guessed wrong. I think you can’t go wrong with either.
I can see a clear difference in the stabilization. I think you can go wrong, depending on your needs.

would also help if you got a ring grip or dual side grips

Do you think they will put a 4d axis on the next RS3? That would be incredible!
Thanks for the detailed comparison! I'm definitely saving up to get the Ronin 4D!

Thanks Peter, very helpful comparison! Helped me a lot to make the call... 😎

What tripod is being used in the Avatar for the Ronin 4d?
looks like a Ulanzi MT‑28
What settings have you gone for pm the r4d? Deadband etc. Thanks
Great comparison! Would love to get your take on the new feiyutech scorp pro! Cheers 👌
Thanks-best view-Peter.
Interesting comparison. DJI vs DJI.

I have the RS2 but I have to agree, when it comes to stabilization, the Ronin 4D is of a higher level!
