I love your temperature blanket and your choice of colors for all of your projects. Everything is so soft and pretty. I am crocheting many virus shawls lately. I wore one to work one day and all of my coworkers want one! I am so happy they love them! There is nothing better than creating something with your own hands and giving them to people who like and enjoy what you made for them! They keep telling me I should sell them but I truly think that would take the joy out of it for me. Crochet is like my meditation and therapy all in one. After a long, busy day, crocheting is how I relax. I think selling my work would make it feel more like a job. Anyways, I enjoy your pod and look forward to the next one!
Hi Gina lovely things you are making the dainty daisy blanket sounds like it will be gorgeous.your daughter will treasure it.the squares for the anemone is a lovely set of colours.thank you for all you share.i have been crocheting since I was 19 I am 74 this year and crochet for charity ..loving your channel.💝💝
Gentle suggestion: Consider joining the squares you do have made for your daughters 1st birthday. Add a photo of her with it at age 1. You can always enlarge it as she grows. Also, if you go around each square with additional rows, your afghan will be bigger with your current amount of squares. You are so enthusiastic & motivated, Gina! 🧶👏🤗 I believe YOU deserve the reward of the 1 year old baby blanket. A photo of you, her, & the blanket would preserve the memory of this special time. The afghan can grow & evolve, as she grows & you choose to create it. AND, you can start your sons afghan & he will LOVE watching Mommy make it for him! 💙 Best Wishes & Blessings to You & yours 🙏⛪️✝️. Therese (Mom of 4 adult sons & Grandma to 6 grandchildren).
I just finished a 1908 circular shawl from @just vintage crochet and I am working on a a Belle of the ball from Annie’s Glorious Gowns for my great niece. Thank you for your videos they keep me company while crochet
I would be seeing flowers in my sleep. 400 is a big commitment, but you'll get there. A ruana/kimono is a long poncho/straight wrap that is open in the front. It has Large, long open sleeves and a belt. Cowboy fashion meets Chinese fashion lol
Oh that ruana/kimono sounds neat! I do feel like I'm seeing flowers in my sleep, ha! We will see what happens. I did make some extra squares this weekend. I may lay them all out to see what I have so far, and to get a feel for how big of a blanket I have. Have a great day!
Hi Gina, I love all your makes. I’m working on my second “Nature’s Walk” blanket by Sandra Paul. One is lighter spring colors and the other dark winter colors. She has some great patterns. Thank you for your podcast. All the best! Sheila.
I really like the squares you are making for your daughter. I'm sure she will cherish it as the years go by. I make a lot of different things to sell at craft fairs. I make small items like mini backpacks l try to make different things that I haven't made before. This year I have made a few amigurumi. Frogs, octopus, bees, and fish. I also made other items like bags for groceries, beanies, scarves and blankets. Around November I l have made some ornaments that l found on RUclips. A lot of my wips are things l find on RUclips. Last year I made some gift card holders that sold well. I might try to make some for this year too. I'm glad that I found you on my feed. I subscribed right away. I look forward to seeing you when you post a video.😊❤🧶
As always enjoyed your video and seeing the progress on your projects…you did get to add more pink to you temp blanket last week. The potholders / doilies are going to be really pretty!!! Don’t put a lot of pressure on yourself about your daughters blanket…that’s a large project that takes a lot of time. I made 64 granny squares that consisted of 9 rounds each for my bedroom. It was quite an undertaking. As a suggestion, you may want to make something on a smaller scale for her birthday next month and then give yourself the remainder of the year to complete the throw…maybe for the holidays. I don’t like to see anyone being hard on themselves for a project…my crochet is my happy place where I can blocked out all the noise and be in my own world if only for a little while😂. Stay safe and be blessed ❤
That is such a great idea! I do have other things I plan to give her for her birthday so that will take the pressure off of myself. Crochet is my happy place, too! Thank you so much!
@@fullofgracestitches Anytime!!! I don’t even allow myself to interfere with it being my happy place…if something is going on that I need relief, I will sometimes go to my craft room and just sit in total piece and quiet and just look around at my crafts…it really brings me back to a better place allowing me to regroup and go on with the rest of my day!!! My happy place!!!
Hi Carrie! I do not have an Instagram account yet for all of my crafts. I may look into this in the future though! If/when I do, I’ll be sure to share it out on my channel. Thank you!
Thanks, Frances!! 🥰 I use a yarn ball winder. The one I have specifically is from Knit Picks. It only takes a few minutes to wind the skeins up into cakes. Caking the yarn up allows the working yarn to be a center pull ball and keeps the yarn from rolling around while crochet/knitting. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the content!
