Thanks for sharing this detailed look at the swap. I've been knocking around the idea of doing this to my 3G Eclipse for a while. I've read up on all the forums, but this was useful to see some of the process on video.
Good job doing it yourself and saving some money. Just a couple of tips though , The balance shaft belt should have been replaced seeing as you had the crank pulley off and you shouldn't use worm drive hose clamps on plastic radiator's they don't allow for expansion and can crack your hose connection point.

Hey, I did this swap and am planning on putting in some Kelford 272 cams. What are my options for tuning this thing? Did you do the tuning yourself when you turbo'd it?
You’ll need dsm 4g63 parts. Either the turbo or non turbo 4g head from the 1g or the turbo 2g. You’ll also need a freeze plug to block off a water port. Other than that it’s similar
I know this can be done on the 3g eclipse but can it be done on the 2g eclipse ? I'd assume the the 4g64 block is the same but I'm still learning. Awesome video man

Hey guys I in the middle of putting on my DOHC head from a 2002 Santa Fe and I’m try to time it but no belt I get works because the cams don’t have the same teeth pattern as the crank What do I do
No on ajustable cam gears because I don’t know what types to get and same with the belt because I got two different belts from trying the 1994 Mitsubishi Galant. one was not the right grove pattern and the other was way to short. Honestly I’ve done American v8s and v6s only and this is my fist Japanese engine and car so it got me depressed I can’t figure this stuff out. Lmao but I’ll keep trying tell I get.
The adjustable cam gear is a must. You need at least one on the intake side to make up for the taller 4g64 block. Otherwise the belt won’t line up. The galant belt or the evo belt will work.

I listed the years and models in the video description. Thanks for watching!
How did you do the cam sensor any modifications
I just used the stock evo stuff and extended the wires.
Would this work on the 4g69? 04-06 Ralliart.
I think so, but I’m not 100% sure. I think it uses a different timing belt.
To do the head swap you need to tunne the car ?
You don’t need to tune the car, but it will help you get the most out of it.
What ecu do you recommend for now and when I put turbo
Evo 8 ecu is the best bang for your buck. The 01-05 manual Eclipse ecu is similar to the Evo’s but missing a few features. (Like boost by gear).
If I put the bigger thortel body without enlarging the multiple entrances, would it gain power? and which header do you recommend?
