I have seen this automobile factory in Suzhou Industrial Park, which is very beautiful. Suzhou Industrial Park is currently the best industrial park in China, and many of the world's top 500 enterprises.😂
Nio got some superb models, they're definitely going to come to the UK, they'll sell them for double the price ££ compared to their home market , Great video
It's the local market. Mg is heap because of the technology is crap. Nio actually provides far better service. New models coming with solid state batteries which can last 20 years.
Why is the show showcasing the oldest NIO model that is in the process of being discontinued? Was it not possible for the show to get the EL7 or ET7 to review?
I suggested battery swap years ago along with standardised battery packs. Here in the UK, this would sell well especially when time is being saved by just swapping the battery pack. Imagine, no fiddling with cables in the pouring rain.
150kwh battery pack is a Semi solid state battery pack with 1k kms of range coming Q4, or Q1 '23!! Beats any Tesla or Lucid in range in any NIO model that the pack is in!!
Just a correction. It's not a solid state battery they are coming with, beginning 2023 they will come with a 150kwh battery, that uses solid state technology, to push it to 150 kwh, it is still a lithium battery. Mid 2024 they will start making their own batteries, that are built on the 800v platform, they are not solid state either.
Great looking Chinese Car. Considering they make the iPhone surprised to see they don’t fit. Do they have android & apple car play? Or did I miss that. Would certainly choose one of these over Tesla or MG but that won’t happen in my lifetime. I’m Petrol in my MERC SL320 and Lexus CT200h
Whilst Nio's battery swap station idea is most certainly innovative, it's maybe best being seen as a "look-at-us" halo effect rather than as a genuinely practical re-charging proposition, especially in a country the geographical size of China...?
why is that? a 5 minute battery swap is not more practical than a 30 minute charge? if they are as common place as they are in china, it is a game changer. imagine never having to worry about battery degradation, having the latest battery tech as they evolve to solid state or whatever future chemistry.
Just com back from China and drove it for around 1000km. In major city there is a swap station maybe every 10km. Also along all the major motor way. It is amazing to just say to your car : I wish to swap the battery then it will find the closest station and booking for you. Swap station are fully automatically, you don't need to get down the car. The most important thing is: it is ALL FREE.
Copyright 😂 Well they copy and if they copy well why not? On top of that, if they are more competitive in terms of price, the end customer will be grateful. 😊
Time had changed, allow yourself a paradigm shift and change of perspective. Your comment as if once a bad thing, it will never be improved or get better.
@@Yorkshiremadmick iphone might be manufactured in China, but it is not Chinese owned, like Neo is. Most chips in cars are actually made in Taiwan and South Korea. Anyway, it is true that it's difficult to avoid Chinese made goods, since so much of the world's manufacturing is based in China (which in itself should be of concern to any reasonable person), but at the very least the choice is there not to buy cars from Chinese owned makers, which is effectively buying from the CCP.
@@Kelveron NIO is a private company. In fact CCP is very afraid of the private sectors. If you avoid these innovative private Chinese companies, you basically help out CCP since if the powers of private sectors go weaker and weaker, CCP will have plenty of excuses to take over, then the hope of different opinions become less and less.
Since in CarGurus started business with the Chinese interests (for money of course what else?), the only reason that i don't unsubscribe is only one: Rebecca
It would be impossible for some people to buy a car from a nation that so oppresses its people. It should be banned until China makes some serious reforms at home and stops threatening Taiwan and its neighbors. Why do we forget all that for the sake of any EV? Human rights have been under assault by their leaders for so long now it just seems normal, nothing to worry about, and that's tragic.
??? Stop watching western news boy. I'm from China, I don't feel oppressed, what are you talking about????? Please don't speak for me, I can stand up for myself, thank you.
You just know everything about China from the western media, you don't care if what they tell you is true or not. Western media have always portrayed China as a bully. The so-called China threatens its neighbors is a complete lie! You need to know the history and those territorial disputes. If you want to politicize any product you buy, don't buy it, if you don't, it won't affect Chinese companies much, but it will be huge for Western companies when the Chinese respond in the same way Loss.😂😂
FYI - More than 1150 battery swap station in China.
now is 1700
That car has been out 5 years now. Their new models are amazing got revealed in Germany last week
yeah, they are a bit late! :)
I'd choose the NIO ET5. What a car!!
Ccp knows where you go

If they crack the solid state battery & get it mainstream that's going to be a huge game changer
Few family members have ordered theirs in Norway. Looking forward to seeing these in the US. I'd gladly pick up an ET7.
This is a very dated review. Nio is already on 2.0 platform, including lidar. They have the ET7, ET5 and EL7 launching across Europe.
they have 1200 stations in china, not 700
1800 now.
I want the es6. If it comes to the UK I am buying it.
lol wherever you go with this car, ccp will be able to track you

Nio make masterpieces. I hope they are available in the UK because I'd buy one of a crappy Tesla any day.
I invest share for this company..like to have one oneday😀😀😀
Love it !!
Nio got some superb models, they're definitely going to come to the UK, they'll sell them for double the price ££ compared to their home market , Great video
its because of the taxes in the UK not because of NIO lol
The MG was affordable why would they make it twice the price with the nio?

Nice review, no waffle, gives the important stuff. Thank you
I want ET5!! :D
Very nice but the new ones are awesome 👍😎
Why is the show showcasing the oldest NIO model that is in the process of being discontinued? Was it not possible for the show to get the EL7 or ET7 to review?
The good thing is you can charge the vehicle normally if you don't want to do battery swap.
I love NIO ❤️❤️❤️
looking forward to reviewing the EL7 or ET7🎉
the biggest advantage that Nio has over Tesla besides exterior/interior design is NOMI . I havent seen anything close to it from other automakers
Not usable unfo. The front seats divider is huge. Prob made for shorter Chinese ppl. Can place my legs in those
Very nice
When people compare premium brands to tesla.. like tesla's a premium brand🙄
Yeah so strange.
made in china best!
Why would you want a NIO when you can buy a Tesla for the same price?
There are NOW 1900 POWER SWAP STATIONS in CHINA.
Very interesting.
Love the chuckle when she was accelerating…
Please kill the annoying background music.
Brilliant video and review Vicky….the best online imho.
It's better than Tesla
And we’re is the dealerships in the uk for this.

Fair point. They also get more government subsidies because it swaps. The electric company also uses them to manage the grid on occasion.

At least Nio has saloons coming soon too and not just rubbish SUVs. Let's hope the saloon come to the UK because SUVs are just trash!
I'll give you a thumbs up but I'd never buy one of these or any other SUV type vehicles.
That's a rather gaudy looking car if you ask me.
