This might be a small detail but I really appreciate how respectful you were at the end with the store clerk! Blurring their face and keeping a reasonable distance with the camera is just good etiquette that everyone should follow when filming in public. So many creators will just shove their camera in an employee's face without thinking so whether on purpose or by accident, as a customer service worker, thank you!!

Omg those RUclips clips were a blast from the past. I remember that RUclips! 😂 My spouse was obsessed with Wheezy Waiter in that era. I'm a cancer, but I have like zero cancer traits. Sometimes I ask my astrology friends how that works out and it's always interesting to hear their sincere responses to it. I'm excited to see more giant puzzle videos!!

I'm a Libra, the sign that always looks the worst on puzzles because it's apparently really hard to make an inanimate object look aesthetically pleasing. really liking how it looks on this one though! the aesthetic of this puzzle is amazing

I love watching you tackle large puzzles, it's so fun to watch! It's really satisfying seeing how much your technique has evolved over the years. I'd love to do a giant puzzle one day but I hate sorting so much, and I know it's the key to a more efficient and enjoyable solving process. I can just barely handle sorting 2000 pieces though, lol.
It's so great to see all the puzzle lovers out there! Every time I tell people about my puzzle addiction they look at me like I'm crazy. I too will sit and work on a puzzle for 10-14 hours at a time on my days off. 😅 Happy puzzling all!

I love that you mentioned the stretching part! My whole body gets stiff from puzzling, it's a real struggle and I have yet to find an ergonomic way to enjoy this hobby
It's mostly just the sorting, since you're in the same position for so long at a time!
I think it's the "hunch" that gets ya. A good chair and table height probably helps a bunch. I have a posture correcting strap thing for my shoulders. I wonder if wearing that during intense sorting would help.
I have a standing table where I puzzle. I stand the whole time. This reduces the time that I can work on the puzzle in one session but my back feels much better at the end of the day.

my grandmother loved puzzles, but I think she topped out at like 12-1500 piece ones. Still, she could do a 500 piece puzzle so fast it would blow your mind. I remember her sitting in her chair with a puzzle board on her lap while my grandpaw watched westerns on a rainy day. Good times
The only thing I'm eorried about second-hand large puzzles is whether or not all the pieces are really there 😅

That's the risk you always go with buying a second- hand one. I bought a second- hand crime story puzzle a couple of weeks ago. Well the puzzle was complete, that's to say. But the crime story was missing. Just got the solution. Perhaps next time i'm luckier. 😉

I admire your patience for sorting, I struggle to sort through anything bigger than 1000 or maybe 1500 pieces in one sitting. I always just wanna jump to the solving step.
As a person who has watched your videos faithfully since 2008, those clips gave me great joy. I remember you talking about the puzzle back then! When I saw that you were going to do it again, I wondered if you were going to talk about that, but I never dreamed you'd show clips. Thank you for doing it! I just finished your 1000 piece Gradient Cascade puzzle and have your 3,000 piece puzzle waiting for me, but I am so intimidated by it! And then, I watch your progress of a 9,000 piece puzzle - good heavens! I am in awe of your puzzling skills and your video skills. The videos are so, so creative and a joy to watch - thank you, Karen! Finally, i am guessing you’ll finish the puzzle in 42 hours, 42 minutes.

I am so so excited for this series! I helped a friend solve this exact puzzle! I only did a few hundred pueces, but it helped keep them going. What a beautiful puzzle it is!

I just got my second chance at a 13,200 piece Clementoni puzzle that I lost 13 years ago after I had two sections completed. Just opened the first bag again today. I found the puzzle on Rare puzzles and bought it all the way from Spain. This puzzle was discontinued over a decade ago. Love the video. The happiness and pain is real.

Proud Scorpio here and definitely have a sting in my tail but it takes a LOT to get me angry so people rarely see it. I'm glad you actually sorted the pieces first. I can't imagine anyone doing a puzzle this big (or bigger) and not sorting the pieces.

I’m a Pisces. The biggest puzzle I’ve done is the 1000 piece SPAM jigsaw puzzle by Aquarius. It was a nightmare. It was me, my mom, my dad, my mom’s brother my uncle, and I think his wife my aunt possibly? We started it and since he lives on the other side of the US then us they left and over the course of like 3 years we ended up finally finishing it after we had started the puzzle then lost the final puzzle piece then found it but then had to wait a long time after we had placed stuff of top of the board that we were using. The board was more of a case that when you open it up, it opens up like a book and keeps the puzzle from moving a lot but had another puzzle on it that would make a massive mess if you just opened it up and we were too lazy to move it for a year and a half before moving it. Unfortunately the missing piece had been in the sunlight for so long it was no longer that same color as the rest of the pieces around it so technically we finished but it doesn’t look like we did. 😅

Inspired by Karen's love for puzzling, I completed my first (!) puzzle last December, it was Ravensburger's The Map of the Universe - and while it had only 1500 pieces, it's design is kind of similar with this Astrology one with the circles and... the space theme :D In pictures The Map of the Universe looks all black but when you look at the pieces close enough, there's so many little details, it's such a cool puzzle! Anyway, I got a bit too excited with my newfound love for puzzling and asked for this sailboat puzzle as a christmas gift from my parents. However, that sailboat puzzle is almost all blue with lots of sky and sea pieces with no details, and... now, almost half a year later, I'm still working on it. At least on some days :D I'm an Aries, so some might say my sign's excitableness got the best of me...

Maybe an ergonomic seat and back cushion would help your back. I know they're not cute, but your health is more important! Even though you lean forward and move around a lot while puzzling, I think cushions would still be a good investment. Also a thirty minute timer to remind yourself to stretch regularly (before you're in pain). I remember the video of the original puzzle! It's wild to me that you're doing it again when there are so many other puzzles waiting to be solved! I mean, I get it, but what a big commitment! Looking forward to following your progress!

I just recently found this channel and am hooked. I haven't touched a jigsaw puzzle in years, but ordered one and loved it so much and I've now purchased 3 more (including both of the Karen Puzzle puzzles). As an Aries I wanted to jump straight to a giant puzzle but I've stopped myself and have started at 500. Looking forward to doing this one vicariously!

Scorpio here. I don't think I would ever tackle a puzzle this large. Your 3000 piece one was the largest I have ever done. I tend to go for smaller difficult ones (as you could probably have figured out).

I've been to quite a few shops and 1000 pieces is the most you can buy today. Thankfully I've kept many of mine, have got quite a few 3000 to 6000 pieces, just love doing them, it's so relaxing and surprising by how quick time flies by

I'm a virgo and very pleased that it's a seperate word in English. In German, there is only the word "Jungfrau" which means both virgo and virgin... I always dread the zodiac sign question in conversations.

I'm by no means a puzzle fanatic, but we (as a family) do a puzzle every Christmas. I like to use Ziplock plastic containers for sorting. With lids, they don't spill, they stack, and they transport much easier.
I’m stuck doing your new puzzle!! I sorted everything into color but I don’t do puzzles often and all the edge pieces are so fun!
