Thank you for your honesty in allowing people into your private life - you are amazing and I’m sure it will be so helpful to other ladies like me, who are “maturing” and experiencing hair thinning. You look lovely.
Thank you. I need to check these out. I just turned 50 and my hair has been thin for years. In 2001 I buzzed cut it because I was so upset, and it has taken me years to get it to my shoulders. I can see through to my scalp every day. Bums me out. Thank you again. I don't feel alone, and you look great.
I couldn’t en tell you were wearing it in the beginning. Thank you for all the detailed tips and tricks. I haven’t made a purchase yet. This will really help me.
I’ve got to say again Jill, that this topper is awesome on you! Your dark brown bio hair blends with the rooting to a tee. If your hair grows an inch or two it will be absolutely the perfect length. The key to this look is the natural density and more undone hair rather than perfectly coiffed, as wigs always are. Natural hair is never perfect, as we know. So a win/win for toppers I’d say. X
Jill Lynn Beauty Therapy beautiful!! It looks soo natural !! Your hair blends sooo well with your topper as well ! I’m soo glad i watched your hair prep video ! That’s soo helpful , know one has yet to stress how important it is to prep your hair before hand !! That’s some great help for me being in just now trying to figure out which one I’m going to buy my first topper or wig from and how this all works ! Thank you for sharing !!
I have hair very similar to yours. I am going to get my first topper. My hair is a dark blonde right now but I am going to go blonder. I heard you say that you dyed your hair brown. Will my scalp show up more if I go lighter blonde?
Awesome tutorial! One would never know you were wearing a topper. Love the tip about applying the powder around the front and sides . Gives it a very natural look! You absolutely rock! Thank bunches.
Jill, I've probably commented on this video before, but I can't thank you enough for posting this! You're quite good at being thorough, and explaining every important step. I really appreciate what you're doing with your channel. :-)
Thank you so much. I've been struggling for the last 10 years to disguise my PCOS hair loss, and just recently found out about toppers. I have one being sent in January and your video has given me great tips to follow when it arrives.
Thank you, Cindy! I also recently got turned on to Shaded Mocha (thanks to a subscribers suggestion) also in the JR line and it is another great match! Thanks so much for watching today!
Thank you for the tips! I like how you created a low light look with matching your hair to the root color and undertones. It makes your hair look highlighted by the topper and is a very natural look. Your eyebrows go great with it too. Awesome job!
GREAT video! I am truly SHOCKED at how much YOUNGER you look with that topper! I'm 51 and have had extremely thin hair for over 20 years...about 2 years ago I got extensions (I-Tip) put in mostly for volume but I've fallen in LOVE with them! However, they only can go up so high...and the hair on top of my head is so thin. After seeing this video and how many years that topper took off your face, I most definitely will get one! But first I'm gonna check out some of your other videos!
Yes that It’s a 10 leave in conditioner is AMAZING! It’s expensive but makes all the difference for me too! I appreciate the relationship ship you have built with us, your viewers. 💗
You look fantastic!!! I love the contrast between your hair color and the topper, it's perfect!! It makes me excited to try one. Thank you for sharing.
That compliment makes my day...thank you! I am thrilled you found me, and hope you find plenty more videos that are helpful on my channel. Thank you so much for your kind words!
It looks so natural. I use a light brown hair powder (sometimes eyeshadow, lol) when my gray starts to show. And I don't have dark roots. It looks fine and can give me a couple more weeks. Thanks for sharing.
Paula Lusk I thought I was the only one to use eyeshadow to cover my grey! I have tried various products that didn’t work, but you can always find eyeshadow that blends. I have red hair that you would think to be hard to match.
Hi Jill... I stumbled across your channel as I just purchased a Jon Renau topper and I was searching for tips on how to hide the topper. Thank you so much!!
Hello ! I am 31 & losing 50 percent of my hair due to health reasons. This video was very helpful & you explained things beautifully , thank you . This looks so real on you I would never know this isn’t real hair ! Gorgeous
Hi Jill, Thanks so much for sharing your technique. Looks great! Some questions I hope you don't mind me asking ~ *Why don't you cut the tags(s) off your topper? Do you use it as a guide for placement? *The fill-in powder - does it come with the brush or did you purchase it separately? *Have you ever tried "Toppik"? It's been a life saver for me. It provides coverage, giving the illusion of fuller hair. My hair is very baby fine and silky, which equals very thin, sparse coverage on top. I don't even have the volume of hair in the bang section as you do! I struggle internally about the volume of faux hair, it just seems massive in quantity compared to my own. I know I shouldn't allow it to bother me, but there's such a noticeable feel & difference between the faux hair and my own, that I think others notice it as well (esp my family!). I've often wondered about thinning out the faux hair so there's not as much "bulk", but I'm afraid that would ruin it & honestly, my wallet cannot afford me to play "barber"! Are you married? Single? I'm single and I am terrified that if I am seriously dating someone, that he will want to run his fingers through my hair, and then, whoops! 😲 Poor guy would have a heart attack! 😂 Again, thank you for sharing - just sub'd to your channel. God bless 👑💞✨💫
Hi Jill, nice to see you again! WOW, your hair has really grown sense we last saw it! I didn't realize that toppers had that much hair! Thank you so much sweetheart for all your hints and tips, I really appreciate your help for all of us! I am going to check out toppers now! 😉
I bought this topper because of your video presentation. I had a consult at a wig shop who had Jon Renau color swatches, thankfully one matched the color that I color my hair. I bought the 10 Caramel and its a perfect match. I wore it for the first time today and it really is a booster because my hair is thinning terribly at the crown and temples, I am not ready for a full wig yet. I stopped back tonight just to get a refresher on how you prepped your hair. I also used the colored powder at the temples. Thank you, great video!
Thank you so much for this video. I've been considering toppers for a while and you made me feel better about it. Your tutorial is so honest and informative. You absolutely rock that topper!!
Mary Brannigan - my mom and I have been wearing toppers for 2 yrs now. It really is life changing! Make sure and match your color and have it cut properly. If you want the best place in Los Angeles and Texas I have a name for you.
Because summer is coming I want to try toppers for the first time. I just starting wearing my wigs out in public. And I'm loving it! Thanks for all your help. Love your videos.
Wow....love the topper and was always wondering how they 'work'. I am sparse on the top but for some reason, it's started growing back again. As for next day hair, I just call it 'left over' hair and it is usually wonderful. Thank you so much for your information.
Hi Jill. this is one of my favorite videos you have done. It was incredibly helpful for me because I was struggling with those dang clips! Your method of going under and upwards and grab the hair and then push down was an eye-opener for me! I felt stupid - had a facepalm moment! But, I know it was because I was so nervous about wearing it, so when the nerves kick in ...Anywho, how you prep your hair was very important to me too! This is an excellent video! Thank you!
omg! I am missing quite a bit of hair, and have always bought toppers with bangs. You made this look easy and I could not tell it from your natural hair line. Thank you
The topper looks beautiful on you but I have to say your bio here is just as pretty. It does not look thin to me Maybe I have to be closer or something but your bio hair is very pretty. Also the touch up powder you use even if it's over a dollar you are spending too much. I have been making my own filler powder for years. It only cost a dollar. I go to the Dollar Tree and get one of those eyeshadow palettes that have five or six different shades of brown and I take a toothpick and just scrape them all out into a small plastic container and kind of pulverise it with the toothpick and then get a little brush and use that. it looks perfect. I have also got my daughter doing it and a few of my friends. I got tired of spending a lot of money for root cover up, powders and such so I just make my own for a dollar and it lasts a long time.
I wanted to thank you Jill for going through your prep routine. I purchased the Easipart hd xl 12” in 14/26S10 Shaded pralines and cream. Your tips have helped me so much to make my hair look natural. ❤️
Love your topper look! It's really pretty. I wear a topper, too, and after watching this, I'm thinking of going more in your direction than what I'm wearing now.
This was so helpful! I also usually only use a light shampoo and my thin hair does get whispy after drying. I recently got a topper and have noticed that my hair texture looks out of place against the topper. I stopped using conditioners because it weighed my hair down. You're right though, that's what you want under the topper. I've never used hair tools so it feels a little weird to think I need to learn how to use them now that I have so little hair!
I just enjoy you so much, what an inspiration! You're adorable and hilarious at times but you've really been a help to me. I have to wear toppers now and my hair thickness is similar to yours as well as length. The problem I have is the clips seem to always hurt. I've tried everything...I use all the products you use and do exactly what you suggest in the above video and very quickly I just feel it on my head and the area where the clips are make my head hurt. I haven't found anyone else with this problem on youtube so I'm wondering if anyone else has this experience or am i just doing something wrong. What shall I do?? I LOVE my toppers but they all do the same thing! Thanks so much and keep up the good work!
Try using bobby pins. There should be enough hair on your topper to hide them. I also have a little trouble with the clips along the hair line, but I found that if I pull some hair forward from further back on my head, and clip to that, then I don't feel a thing. The center clip is the one I have to play with, sometimes feeling a pinch, and having to undo and redo a few times, but eventually, it clips down without any discomfort. I can wear it all day, and barely notice its on my head. I also love my toppers...they look natural, and give me the freedom of allowing my hair and scalp to heal from heat appliances, chemical laden shampoo, and dye. Even if my hair becomes healthy again, I'll always use my toppers, as they are convenient and I look and feel 10 years younger when I wear them. In case you haven't noticed, many women on television wear them as well!
Jill, I love your topper and eye look videos. You have such a gentle, friendly way about you which makes me feel that I can trust you. I wish we were friends😊 I’m at the point that I will need to begin wearing toppers however I’m losing quite a bit of hair at the hairline. My question is, in a worst case scenario, if I were to lose so much hair that I had nothing to clip the front and side clips in, would it be possible to clip the back clips and glue the front/temple area? Thank you for your help. Have a blessed day
Your video is terrific....I'll soon need a topper & this has helped me immensely. Looking for a gray light brown color, to keep it natural like my own hair, any suggestions? Many thanks!😊
Great tips, I just got Top Billing by Rachel Welch. I am really struggling with getting it secure without hurting so I appreciate this video. Hope after following your pointers I can make it work😊💗
I love your attitude can you please tell me which hair piece is best for first time ? Tell me how they feel on my scalp and what products overcome these issues I would appreciate your opinion many many thanks
Toppers? I had never heard of toppers. Enjoyed this video so much, Jill. I think I have watched at least 10 of them now (trying to get the nerve for a wig) and I just love all the steps you go through and also how easy you make it look. Don't think we are bored or that you are chatting too much. I need to hear everything you say and watch everything you do. Thanks again so very much. Houston, TX
Your topper looks so natural on you, I’m looking to buy one, I don’t know anything about wigs. My problem is in the front my hair line and parting is getting wider,I have a lot of hair in the back.

Hi Jill Lynn! I was diagnosed with Alopecia Aeriota about 2 months ago. I am devastated. I used to have the thickest hair that people always remarked about it. I have (had) bright auburn hair with blonde streaks. I just bought a JR . HH topper. My stylist told me to buy the lightest blonde color I could find and then she would put the red in around the"stripes. " I see that you wrote that HH wigs were just to much work. May I ask why? And in your opinion, is it safe for me to use the topper? Thanks for being here, I am just devastated. I am seeing a dermatologist, but I watch one of your videos every night so I don't cry. I hope that I will be able to make this work and look half as pretty as you do. Thank you!
I never heard of toppers till i watched the video! My daughter could so use this ..I’ve been looking at hair pieces but, they r too heavy for her hair. Thanks so much for the information you explained it very well.
Hi, can you please tell me the type of flat iron you’re using. I have very thin hair and have a hard time ironing it, but yours looks like your hair runs through it smoothly. Great job with the topper, looks so natural!
Thank you for your honesty in allowing people into your private life - you are amazing and I’m sure it will be so helpful to other ladies like me, who are “maturing” and experiencing hair thinning. You look lovely.
WOW! I can not believe how natural you made this look! Very nice. Thank you so much!!
Your toppers look so real! You look beautiful.

This is the most natural topper I've seen, it look great on you.
Thanks so much for this - really helpful!! Never thought of wearing a topper... thought I'd just always be the one with 'thinning fine hair....'
Thank you so much. I've been struggling for the last 10 years to disguise my PCOS hair loss, and just recently found out about toppers. I have one being sent in January and your video has given me great tips to follow when it arrives.

But the color you have your bio goes perfectly with that topper. Great job pairing. Looks great all together 👍🏼.
Love you, Jill!
omg! I am missing quite a bit of hair, and have always bought toppers with bangs. You made this look easy and I could not tell it from your natural hair line. Thank you
But why are you SO pretty?!?!? Looks great, very VERY natural.
Thank you for this video. I’m considering my first wig due to health issues and this was so helpful.
Well how fabulous does this look I am amazed actually about the whole process . Best wishes from Scotland xx
That's a really pretty topper on you!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
The topper looks beautiful on you but I have to say your bio here is just as pretty. It does not look thin to me Maybe I have to be closer or something but your bio hair is very pretty. You have beautiful natural hair. Honestly, i dont understand why you need a topper. But you looked beautiful with and without it.
Actually you have very nice hair you realize you're ruining your own hair by teasing it this is too much work good luck
What is bio hair? What's the reason blossom uses a topper ? Does that enhance natural hair?
This looks absolutely flawless!!! I love!!

I’m at the point that I will need to begin wearing toppers however I’m losing quite a bit of hair at the hairline. My question is, in a worst case scenario, if I were to lose so much hair that I had nothing to clip the front and side clips in, would it be possible to clip the back clips and glue the front/temple area?

You would wear a front lace topper---that would solve your problem . There are lace fronts that dont even need gluing on the market .
Daisy, so many women of all colors wear hair extensions. Wear them proudly.
I'm truly inspired! You might consider snipping the tags out making one less thing to think about. 💖
Talks too long, get on with the topper.
Great video. Can’t wait to get my topper in got the same as you. Now I will know how to put it on with confidence.

Your topper looks so natural on you, I’m looking to buy one, I don’t know anything about wigs. My problem is in the front my hair line and parting is getting wider,I have a lot of hair in the back.

Thank you for this vid ... It's helped me. Your hair looks wonderful!!
Would this "top notch" topper blend in with longer hair? MIne is about collarbone/top of shoulders length.
Woh thank you,😀👌, I feel a lot more confident to try a topper now at last🤗 perfect. 👌
I could have sworn that this is your real hair at the beginning of the video.. Looks awsome!
Thanks. Your topper look like bio hair even though I just saw you put it on. Cool.
Thank you!
Looks great! Thanks for this instructive tutorial!
Thank you for sharing. It’s been very helpful!
Sherri Frediani I’m so happy you found this helpful! Thank you for letting me know. 😃

Hi, can you please tell me the type of flat iron you’re using. I have very thin hair and have a hard time ironing it, but yours looks like your hair runs through it smoothly. Great job with the topper, looks so natural!
you look fantastic! That topper looks awesome on you!
