I’m blown away by this transformation even though I saw it happening right before my eyes. I honestly thought you were going to ruin the topper but more than that, I thought there was absolutely no way this was going to turn out well. I was convinced that the color difference alone wouldn’t give you a look you’d want to wear in public. Well, I was so wrong! Your hair with the topper looks amazing! I’m so shocked at how you were able to blend them together yet it seemed pretty simple to do. I bought a human hair topper more than 2 years ago and dyed it to give me a good match to my own dyed hair. Imagine my disappointment when it looked terrible. My husband even tried to help me get it to look right. I’ve never tried since but I’m inspired by your video and will give it another try. Back in the early 70’s we called a topper a “fall” and I had one I wore a lot but I never placed it close to my hairline like you did. Instead, I hooked the comb in a inch or two back on the top of my head after combining some of my bio hair forward. After getting the topper seated, I would comb my own hair over it and it looked great. I got lots of compliments. Unfortunately, my husband I lost everything in a flood, including my hair topper and I never purchased another until 2018. I think I was trying to recreate what I had worn so many years ago but all the extra combs just didn’t sit right on my head. I will definitely give this another try after watching a few more of your videos. It’s kind of funny that I was actually watching a wig video from you (January) as I’m contemplating buying a wig and the next video in my queue was this one with the topper. Glad you have success with Uniwigs. I waited almost 2 months for a topper, and the color is a no go. I did have selection help and just completely off. Now to even exchange it will take another 5 weeks! I cannot even find an up to date video on their blonde shades. 🤷🏼♀️
That is amazingly beautifull. I have seen how excellent you are at making the synthetic wigs and toppers. But the way this human hair moves at the neck is really realistic. It moves easier. It is like synthetic fibers moves slower and more together. I know they are light but the movement of the synthetic fibres looks heavier. Do you know what I mean. You may disagree, but I hope, you understand. It is like sthe hair strands in the human hair topper moves more individually. I never thought about that before - because you are such a magician with synthetic fibres. I am a big admirer of your work with different hair and make-up. You are such an inspiration for me. I wish that you had a camera angle that actually allows us to see as you cut the hair because that is very beneficial to those of us that are new to this. My hair became very thin in places over the last 10 years as I was diagnosed and treated for one life threatening health issue after another starting with multiple spinal cord injuries and then breast cancer and later endometrial cancer among a number of other crazy things. 14+ surgeries and surgical procedures along with radiation treatments and chemo treatments did a huge number on my body. Thankfully I am cancer free now though I will always have some side affects due to the treatments and other health issues I am still dealing with. I have used extensions in the past when my hair was much shorter. I like it longer now and I am researching the possibility of getting a topper after finding your channel. I like having something that I can style different ways. My problem is that I have naturally curly hair and finding something to blend with my hair is difficult. I have just started turning white around my forehead and temples with scattered strands throughout that look like highlights. Thank you for creating your channel and offering the advice and sharing your knowledge with us.
So glad I your channel Jill. I had chemo 12 years ago and before chemo my hair was very very thick, unfortunately my hair never grew back as before, it is very very thin, bald spots oshn the back. I purchased a synthetic wig from a ''well known'' beauty salon and let's just say I was never happy with it. A few years later I went to a ''specialty'' topper hair growth area and have purchased 2 natural hair toppers. I have been very unsatisfied with the results, have not been able to find a topper that suits me. I could so use your expertize in giving me nformation on what and where I can purchase a topper that would make me say ''I love it'' and especially saying ''isn't it and I pretty'' something I have not felt the past 12 years. Thank you for your info.

Wow! I love your videos Jill! They've been so helpful for me as I try to navigate my own hair loss and research hair toppers. I'm only 25, so this is never a problem I'd imagine I would face, and certainly not at this age. Haven't taken the plunge yet in terms of buying a topper, but I think in the next year I'll buy my first.

This is a very uplifting video. I think you work magic with these pieces. My initial reaction is it wasn't going to look good and boy oh boy was I surprised what you did with it.
With your bio hair being darker than the topper it actually looks like you highlighted your dark brown hair. It gave it more dimension underneath when blending it into your own hair. I loved it. I didn't think so when you first put it on, but when you were done..Wow! I new to this so I've been browsing the websites to learn & find something to make my hair look thicker especially in top. My hair started thinning from a thyroid disorder, so I'm getting depressed. I like the human hair topper better than synthetic. I just dont know where to start..length, style, etc. Thanks for sharing your video.

You are doing the right thing by watching various vids here on RUclips, and comparing your options. Eventually, you'll order...and some will work and some won't. You are absolutly correct. very pretty! I'm new to this and I'm going to be very safe. I have a woman who deals with toppers and wigs. I am getting human hair although she tried to get me to do the synthetic but it was to stripey I would be Married to that look. she will be trimming for me to blend in to my (too long) hair. I'm sure once AA comfortable I will move on to other things. I've been concerned because I have been also dealing with massive hot flashes Where I actually do break out in sweat so upsetting. My problem is thin and pin straight hair. Average medium Brown getting very thin on top as scarring alopecia so...Anyway. I could never cut my own hair. I could barely curl my hair lol. I will be learning a lot through these videos so thank you.
Just found this and boy am I glad I did. And the last two years I have gone from having an extremely full head of hair to you can see my scalp all over. I have started with inexpensive wigs to try and learn first before I make the investment. I never really thought of a top or before but seeing what you have just done amazes me. I even with the inexpensive wigs trim them up and did different Little Things but you just changed that blonde topper into something that looks completely like your hair. My only wish is that human hair did not cost as much as it does. I know there's a reason for the cost but that's a chunk of money and I have no idea how long they last. Could you help me with some information on how long a human hair wig would last compared to how long does a synthetic wig last. I know it depends on how you treat them and how much you wear them but I'm thinking about shaving the rest of my hair off not bald but buzz cut and just wearing wigs all the time I am feeling that badly about my own hair. As it is I only wear my wigs when I leave the house which hasn't been very much given Coronavirus. Thanks for any information you could give me and thank you for doing such a thorough job. I also get very excited when I get new hair but I don't get new hair very often. I need a RUclips channel that company send me free hair but I'm not pretty as you I'm 62
Looks great! Does this topper have a lace front & silk top? What topper from uniwigs do you like the best. Love your videos, it helps me with my terrible, thin hair. I stress & feel depressed about my hair all the time. I was born with terrible hair, so I never have had a lot.

I also have the Bella HT and I love it. My problem is that I can't get the hairline in the front to look natural (like you were able to), My hair loss is really in the front bang area and I really can't even get the front clip to adhere. I end up with a gap between my head and the topper in the front hair line. Is there anything you can recommend for me? Thanks!!
Love it, looks real natural. I don't pay attention anymore at all with the length of wigs or toppers because I cut them to what I want. Can you pull this topper up on the sides to also wear it half up?

I have dark brown hair. Would the almond frost work for me since it has dark roots? I need to order tonight before sale ends and am not sure what color to go with. Jill, that's gorgeous. It's flawless-looking from out here. Wow! I have a Renau human hair topper and I think I will curl it to get this effect. If Uniwigs comes out with some dimensional brunettes, I will get this one, for sure. For people who think they can't find anything but long toppers, that's not true. My two toppers (one synthetic, one human hair, both JR Easipart XLs) are 12". xo
Hi Liz! Thank you! Yes, I too have both of those Toppers and love them. I would say though, in general....toppers are mostly over 12" and usually 14" and longer. Jon Renau is very good in giving a variety of lengths more so than other brands FOR SURE.

Hi! Have you looked at lace front toppers? They are amazing for just your needs. I love EFFECT by Ellen Wille, however you won’t get the coverage like the shown in this video... but you do get a good amount. I do have a Topper Chat on it! There are several lace front top pieces scattered in different brands. 😉👌🏻

Hi Susan! I think color selection is where Uniwigs needs to improve on, and they are definitely aware and adding new colors all the time. BUT...you can also have them make a color FOR YOU!

Hi Jill, so I have the opportunity to buy the Bella in the 12 inch length from a hair sister for $200. My hair is approximately the same length as your bio hair. I did notice in pictures that the 12 inch Bella looks scraggly at the ends and would probably need trimming... Do you think I should go with a longer length and have it trimmed to match my hair? My other option is to go with a Jon Renau Top Wave. Any advice for me?
New to this whole thing, what sort of stylist would you recommend going to after purchasing one of these. My hair cutting skills are shameful lol.. I wouldn't dare trim and style my own 300+ dollar hair. Do you simply ask at a salon if they can do something like this?

With your bio hair being darker than the topper it actually looks like you highlighted your dark brown hair. It gave it more dimension underneath when blending it into your own hair. I loved it. I didn't think so when you first put it on, but when you were done..Wow! I new to this so I've been browsing the websites to learn & find something to make my hair look thicker especially in top.
My hair started thinning from a thyroid disorder, so I'm getting depressed. I like the human hair topper better than synthetic. I just dont know where to start..length, style, etc. Thanks for sharing your video.
Thanks, Jean! I think so too... the Almond Frost is a great color blend for me. Good luck on your journey....it is a little overwhelming I know! You are doing the right thing by watching various vids here on RUclips, and comparing your options. Eventually, you'll order...and some will work and some won't. You are absolutly correct. very pretty! I'm new to this and I'm going to be very safe. I have a woman who deals with toppers and wigs. I am getting human hair although she tried to get me to do the synthetic but it was to stripey I would be Married to that look. she will be trimming for me to blend in to my (too long) hair. I'm sure once AA comfortable I will move on to other things. I've been concerned because I have been also dealing with massive hot flashes Where I actually do break out in sweat so upsetting. My problem is thin and pin straight hair. Average medium Brown getting very thin on top as scarring alopecia so...Anyway. I could never cut my own hair. I could barely curl my hair lol. I will be learning a lot through these videos so thank you.

Just found this and boy am I glad I did. And the last two years I have gone from having an extremely full head of hair to you can see my scalp all over. I have started with inexpensive wigs to try and learn first before I make the investment. I never really thought of a top or before but seeing what you have just done amazes me. I even with the inexpensive wigs trim them up and did different Little Things but you just changed that blonde topper into something that looks completely like your hair. My only wish is that human hair did not cost as much as it does. I know there's a reason for the cost but that's a chunk of money and I have no idea how long they last. Could you help me with some information on how long a human hair wig would last compared to how long does a synthetic wig last. I know it depends on how you treat them and how much you wear them but I'm thinking about shaving the rest of my hair off not bald but buzz cut and just wearing wigs all the time I am feeling that badly about my own hair. As it is I only wear my wigs when I leave the house which hasn't been very much given Coronavirus. Thanks for any information you could give me and thank you for doing such a thorough job. I also get very excited when I get new hair but I don't get new hair very often. I need a RUclips channel that company send me free hair but I'm not pretty as you I'm 62
Looks great! Does this topper have a lace front & silk top? What topper from uniwigs do you like the best. Love your videos, it helps me with my terrible, thin hair. I stress & feel depressed about my hair all the time. I was born with terrible hair, so I never have had a lot.

I also have the Bella HT and I love it. My problem is that I can't get the hairline in the front to look natural (like you were able to), My hair loss is really in the front bang area and I really can't even get the front clip to adhere. I end up with a gap between my head and the topper in the front hair line. Is there anything you can recommend for me? Thanks!!
Love it, looks real natural. I don't pay attention anymore at all with the length of wigs or toppers because I cut them to what I want. Can you pull this topper up on the sides to also wear it half up?

I have dark brown hair. Would the almond frost work for me since it has dark roots? I need to order tonight before sale ends and am not sure what color to go with. I’m used to wearing the Raquel Welch color honey toast wig and do not want to go dark if possible. I was looking at this one and Megan topper. Thanks.
Jill, that's gorgeous. It's flawless-looking from out here. Wow! I have a Renau human hair topper and I think I will curl it to get this effect. If Uniwigs comes out with some dimensional brunettes, I will get this one, for sure. For people who think they can't find anything but long toppers, that's not true. My two toppers (one synthetic, one human hair, both JR Easipart XLs) are 12". xo
Hi Liz! Thank you! Yes, I too have both of those Toppers and love them. I would say though, in general....toppers are mostly over 12" and usually 14" and longer. Jon Renau is very good in giving a variety of lengths more so than other brands FOR SURE.
You can always purchase a brown color and have it colored by a stylist

Thank you for your topper video. I learned a lot from it. I have a synthetic topper and can't use the curling iron on it of course. I was wondering if I misted it and used a curler on it if it will give it a littler curl? And would it curl at all? Have you tried that at all? Thanks again for all your help.

Hi Jill I'm new here and you just said what I'm afraid of happening when getting a topper is the flat top. I used to fullness on top and I don't want everyone to know I'm wearing a topper either. Dear Jill, at this time what I am wearing is the top notch topper by Jon Renau and I am experiencing a little more difficulty to make it look natural bcse my hair line is more thin now. Hi! Have you looked at lace front toppers? They are amazing for just your needs. I love EFFECT by Ellen Wille, however you won’t get the coverage like the shown in this video... but you do get a good amount. I do have a Topper Chat on it! There are several lace front top pieces scattered in different brands. 😉👌🏻

Hi Susan! I think color selection is where Uniwigs needs to improve on, and they are definitely aware and adding new colors all the time. BUT...you can also have them make a color FOR YOU!

Hi Jill, so I have the opportunity to buy the Bella in the 12 inch length from a hair sister for $200. My hair is approximately the same length as your bio hair. I did notice in pictures that the 12 inch Bella looks scraggly at the ends and would probably need trimming... Do you think I should go with a longer length and have it trimmed to match my hair? My other option is to go with a Jon Renau Top Wave. Any advice for me?

New to this whole thing, what sort of stylist would you recommend going to after purchasing one of these. My hair cutting skills are shameful lol.. I wouldn't dare trim and style my own 300+ dollar hair. Do you simply ask at a salon if they can do something like this?
