I have been waiting for this kind of a review...I just upgraded my driver to the aerojet LS, 3 and 7 woods to aerojet as well and during my fitting, I kept being so impressed with the Hzrdus black x-stiff (6.5) in all the clubs. My club speed is about 112 with driver and I was stunned at how well the ball flew and so much more consistent than other stock offerings. Friend of mine told me not to buy the hzrdus black until I tried the Velocore black but I am simply too cheap to spend the extra bit. So I was very curious how much better (or not) the Velecore 7x black shaft would have been. This review was helpful, so thank you Freddie. Amazingly informative reviews and very entertaining. You got great presentation method. Keep it up.
Oooooh glad I could so specifically help 😁 hit the button on the nose hehe ....no doubt the velocore is awesome ....finally found it to be too awesome at the low spin thing here ...in fairway woods I'd normally soften off to a Velocore Red if I wanted to stay upgraded as the back is such a unit 😇
Go to a fitter befor bying shafts👍 i have played with Hzrdus black 6.5 70g for 2 years now! I have around 114-116mph club speed, so i thought i was going to have x-stiff again! I've tried Paradym driver with many different shafts and weights! But ended up with ventus black tr 6S😳 and my highest club speed was 122mph!! And i was hitting bombs💪 i doesn't matter how high club speed you have, but how you create that speed (Tempo). After what i saw in this video, maybe 7X is to heavy and stiff for that tempo🤷♂️
@jondidrikrygge3546 yeah 100% correct ...The 6s TR plays like a lot of X flexes ...and I've had X flexes work in fittings that are more like a stable Regular, like the Speeder shafts that were in the Mizuno drivers... soft as putty - Fitting is Key for each golfer!
Currently using Hzrdus TX 60 2.5. This seems to work. Not sure why. Have a TX 70 2.3 coming. Have tested Black TR 7S with favorable results. Driver swing speed is on the limit between S and X at 105/106. Black TR 7X was not flexing good enough consistently. But TX seems to be okay. Must be the way I'm loading. Have been in the gym working on getting stronger. Mainly trunk/core stability and leg presses. Can feel improvement. Yesterday had a wind assisted 298yds so something is working. It was slightly side on wind. When thinking about going far I think about good shoulder rotation and 'leaning' into the strike.
Yeah I think the Black TR 7X would work nicely if you need to reduce the spin ...only downside is you MAY need to go flat out with it all the time ....But if you're working on increasing speed, that's not a bad thing Have a look at your launch and spin with that leaning feeling ....i'd say launch angle below 12 degrees may be able to loft up ....just making sure the spin isn't above 2500 i'd say, the shafts you're looking at will likely help that alot (if they are, you're hitting down on it too much) The launch I'm aiming for is 15 degrees+ and 1700-2000 spin... then going as fast as possible and stay within those numbers. Hope this helps!
@@fusionenvironmentalsolutions that is very true ....I opted for the Ventus Black and the Red in fitting options from aftermarket shaft supplier ......The other shafts are the Srixon supplied fitting kit I do have a HZRDUS RDX Smoke Blue but it's in a PXG head atm 🤔
The HZRDUS black came in my aerojet sadly only stiff got the 6.5 showing up today also the 6.0 40 gram Cypher comes today will report back. The 6.0 is a bit squirrelly on me, I tend to play TX or X
@ Gotcha, I’m going to run a Ventus blue 7x I think, my Tensei white doesn’t seem to do me many favors on spin reduction and a little extra launch may help with forgiveness anyways.
Have you tested the new gen 5 vs velocore+ black yet?? I was fitted to the hzrdus gen 5 black today but wanted to know if you have tested the velocore + black
@ sounds good brother. Wanna see if there is much difference. I am also seeing if anyone has ever set up their AI smoke max head driver to fit the weight profile to the triple diamond? More mass up front like a 4 g weight or 8 g weight? Looking to tweak mine
Hiya Mate - I tend not to tip the demo shafts as I need it to be relative to what most people would have in their club if I order or build anything for them :) I might suggest tipping if i need to bring the height and spin down just a fraction but wouldnt have the means to compare that in a fitting for each person
At 7X and 6.5 they are both quite stout ...I'd say the main bit that stands out between them in feel, is the feedback on an offcentre hit ...the Velocore just holds more stability
I have to agree on the Ventus black being very stable. I had the Hazrdus but spun to much so they put me into the tr black 6s and I only swing at 100mph. But needed way low spin.
Yeah that would certainly help ....Still need to test out a few heads and shafts. More loft on ZX7 or ZX5 same loft would work on the Ventus 7X ....I actually found using a lightweight shaft to spike up ball speed so I wanna try that on the ZX5LS when I get my demo heads 😋 I might go for a 3 wood that doesn't miss the mark ....and a driver that just flings it as fast as possible 🤣 undecided
Iomic! Standard size, they do come up quite thin for my liking but they are cool grips eh... can always use extra tape to beef them up a bit or the midsize wouldn't be as big as other midsize grips
Your analysis isn't really great. The ventus is fine, you just need to click the loft up a setting. You can launch a little higher, and still have good spin (1700 is fine btw, in fact it's close to the max ideal with a slightly higher launch angle)
@@FredzGolf But that just depends on the head loft you choose initially. For example, If you need 9 degrees of loft, you could get an 8 degree head and click "up" or get a 10 degree head and click "down". Thus closing or opening the face, whatever is your preference. The point is, the ventus is almost identical, you just need a touch more loft to get the launch in the same window (and the spin will follow).
I really like this channel butvyou don't have the heat to truly test these shafts in their capacity. If this was stiff and 6.0 it would be a better/more relevant review
I have what I have ...the relative deference would be quite similar ...Will see if I can test 6s against 6.0 Only sticking point is the Ventus black is only available as 6X and 7X in the Srixon Custom order so the 6s is slightly less relevant ....although I do have a 6S to test against the HZRDUS Black 6.0
Good video, unfortunately your swing speed is way to stiff slow, You need 120 plus swing speed to have the shaft work do it’s magic. Stiff versions would be better in your category.
I look at ball data, ahead of speed 😁 I'm getting faster and will do a proper fitting with 6S, 7S, 6X and 7X once I'm happy I'm maintaining speed and see what comes out on top 🙃
Speed is undoubtedly the most important factor for shaft fit but there are many other factors. I top out at 110 driver speed and play a hzrdus black xstiff in the driver and get better launch, spin, ball speed, and dispersion than with softer shafts
One test I'd be interested in seeing is the Hzrdus black gen4 vs the 2024 Ventus Blue (new version). Hopefully you can get a blue. 😎
I'll whack it on my to do list :) I've got the New Blue!! Just need to build a Gen 4 HZRDUS on to a Callaway tip which is no sweat

Why is the Ventus so much shorter?
I've paused the vid 1 second in and they look the same ...Will maybe watch it and see if i mention it ...was a long time ago haha
What was your swing speed? Similar distance to you (you may of been uphill) I generally swing 118 on average
I think I was about 108-110 back then ...I've always done well on the efficiency of the flight vs speed hehe ...Pushing for more speed now!!

+£200 in the UK 🙈
