Elizabeth I was better than her father, but Henry VIII didn’t really fail though. He successfully broke from Rome, which gave England far more autonomy to do things their own way.
Also, if England stayed Catholic, it would be less likely that the civil war and glorious revolution happen later.
Plus he set up / invested in the Royal Navy, which would be the thing that made Britain a superpower in later centuries. Henry VIII was brutal and a tyrant at the end, but not without his influence and achievements.

@King Ace ➡ Indeed. Her Majesty's official title (in just the UK) is: "Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith."
➡ In Canada, Her Majesty's full title is: "Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom, Canada and Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith."
➡ And a final interesting oddity surrounding naming; in the Channel Islands - the Crown Dependencies of the Bailiwick of Jersey (the place where the US state of New Jersey gets its name from) and the Bailiwick of Guernsey - the Queen is known as the Duke of Normandy, rather than the Duchess of Normandy. The claim to Normandy (and France in general) goes back ~half a millennium to when the entirety of France should have been ruled by the English Government and the English monarch.
In fact, if one looks at the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom (and variants of the royal coat used by Elizabeth II and the Government, but excluding Scotland as royal coat is different), you will see "Dieu et Mon Droit" written at the bottom. This translates to "With God and My Right" (not 'With God at My Right, as many seem to think) which very literally means 'with God and the [monarch's] right to rule over France'. Unsurprisingly, this goes back to royal marriage and war with France.
➡ Sorry if that was too long (I've just realised it turned into a short essay!) or came across as patronising - it's not my intent. I'm not even British (I've lived in the United Kingdom since childhood and have dual nationality), but I find these bits of historical and royal trivia fascinating.

@@camclarke7006 Queen Catherine of Aragon was the definition of a true Queen and Royal Princess. She inherited her mother’s(Queen Isabella of Castile) strength, royal blood, and dignity. Queen Catherine was the best wife of Henry, and no one can prove me otherwise. When folks don’t agree on me on my opinion, I always tell them to check on the internet, and research the lives of the six wives of Henry. Then, they realize who the best Queen was. At the end of the day, the only true wife was Catherine of Aragon ❤️🥰💕👸🏼

Elizabeth I learning Welsh isn’t surprising, as Henry VIII had incorporated Wales into England in 1536 (coincidentally, the same year that he beheaded Anne Boleyn), therefore meaning that Elizabeth I would need to know Welsh to be able to rule the entirety of the Kingdom of England.

Elizabeth I's greatest move was the moderate and cautious approach to protastantism. This approach ultimately led to England remaining fairly unscathed by the religious wars of France, Spain, HRE and Netherlands. Also, the approach to colonialism taken by QE2 and England turned out to be a lot more sustainable than Spain's.
