Really like this type of training vid with the voice over instead of breaking up the content with winded explanations between sets, keeps the flow going and you get way more pro info.... that and Seths fucking hilarious
Elliot Jay this whole time I was thinking that he reminds me of my ex-con of an uncle who got me into lifting as a kid. Seth looks and talks just like him. lol
Great informative tips Seth. Love that someone as big as yourself keeps endorsing the fact that isn't not about just moving maximum weight from A to B. Feel, intensity, adjusting angles and quality of movement is where growth is achieved.
That’s not that heavy bro my leg press at my gym has 2 rows each side so you can have double what he has, leg press is pretty easy to push some serious weight. It’s not like squats
I have watched so many professional body builders videos and their workouts but i have never seen someone workout the way i have felt like working out. I love how you have low slow reps and then shock the leg by another mix up leg workout then back to the workout again. Definitely a well educated video, attention to detail that makes a big difference when targeting specific muscle groups. Hope you go far!
RYMR TV look up the pro trainer. He trains a lot of pros and should have became a pro years ago. His name is JOHN MEADOWS- goes by mountaindog1 on here and his site. Awesome man and bodybuilder like Seth, Kai, Centopani
RYMR TV so true dude! My kinesiology professor loved me because I would take this stuff he talks about with foot/hand placements to help manipulate the movements, and bring it up in class and she was able to elaborate on it. Solid stuff!
The Body Positive Bro bro, fuck off with your steroid only conceptual bs. The theory of targeting with hand/foot placement has gotten me much more defined and detailed than before, plus the pumps are absolutely incredible, all WITHOUT peds
Its funny that you say @9:58 that you "didn't have to use these crazy heavy weights". Cue 720 lbs on your leg press, for reps ! I get happy when I do set with 4 plates on each side ... :/ ! I do like your philosophy that its better to concentrate on the movement and mind/muscle connection rather than lifting 75 tons. Its what Kai always used to preach and its what I try to do. Super motivating videos Seth, keep making them !
Simon Beaulieu many thanks! We all start somewhere, but as you progress and feel the weight you will then be able to move the heavier weights with a solid foundation and thought process behind it. 💪🤘
Seth, the little details (foot placement, flexion, angle) make all the difference in your instruction, EXCELLENT. Most of us know the basic movements but the advanced instruction details with your reasoning why you do it make your videos better than most on RUclips, thanks!
I never go heavy on leg extension, I dont like the way it feels on my knees !! Trust me, protect your knees, back, shoulders & feet !!! Great info mane !
Seth Feroce always enjoy your video's! Love how you simplify/emphasize angels, hand placement, and other ways to improve your exercises! Thank you for all you do.
I like how you cater your commentary to the workout once the workout is complete. You go back and explain while showing the video of how exactly your are supposed to do the exercise. Not all youtubers are doing that. They prefer to talk while shooting the video. Great Stuff Seth!
I done this workout yesterday and wow. Very pumped and sore today. It's rare to see quality content from fitness youtubers so keep it coming you've won me over my man.
This is the second workout I’ve followed of yours with the first being Overtraining chest. Here is the workout or what I got out of the video. I’ll be following more and hope you put out some more tank tops soon. Start off alternating first two exercises to get blood flowing and pre exhaust quads and hamstrings. Putting emphasis on short recovery periods and moderate weight to keep blood flowing into muscles throughout workout. Less weight/more reps. Heavier the weight/less reps. Pyramid weight in exercises (3-7). 1. Leg Extensions (5x15-20) 2. Hamstrings Curls (5x15-20) 3. Leg Press (5 x 10-15 reps) 1. Variation of foot placement on platform. Top, Middle, Bottom 4. Lunges (smith machine) (4x5-8 reps each leg) 5. Dumbbell Deadlifts (4x8-10) 6. Dumbbell Squats (Legs Wide) (3x10) 1. Slut Squats 7. Squat (5x10-15)
Add sets/reps to what you personally feel you can handle. No workout should be followed to the T. The main thing is shortened recovery 60-90 seconds between sets creating maximum blood flow into the muscles and finishing the workout fatigued.
2017 is the year in which I say fuck the weight and make all body part training about activation, time to start focusing on what the hell is actually happening when performing the movement itself. For too long I've been ego lifting and not getting an actual effective training session in. Lately been lightening up the load and taking extra time especially on the eccentric portion of the movement, and at the peak portion of the movement really squeezing the fuck out of the muscle group being worked. If only I can rewind 10 years, I would have approached my training in this fashion. Not to say I won't try to hit a PR now and then, but it's damn time I make it what I already established myself as which is a bodybuilder not a powerlifter, great stuff as usual Seth!
I've been lifting almost my whole life and in EVERY video of Seth's I learn some New Major Shit. Seth is the ONLY PRO I have ever known of, that breaks down the techniques that separates the amatures from the professionals. I got no words for how much respect I have for this dude, Thank You Seth
This is my favorite video on the whole Internet. Watched it a hundred times on different devices while i'm working out or if I need motivation to go to the gym or whatever the case maybe. Please post another workout of yours that you do on leg day. I know you mix it up and do different stuff so I would like to see another one. Thanks!!
I don't know if you read all your comments but I done this workout yesterday and wow ! You've won over bro, it's rare to see quality content from fitness youtubers so keep it up brother you've got me listening, thank you and keep it coming.
Seth, I seriously love how you touch on hand and foot placement in your videos. I was able to speak to my kinesiology professor about a lot of the stuff you've mentioned. Long story short, it's one of those things that anybody can go in and hit the weights but just small tweaks like that can make a big difference over a long period of time. Keep up the good work!
Journey To Jacked in a way yes, you want to limit the flow, if you stop it, not good, one of the reasons I do not like occlusion training and prefer the "blood Starving" no need to tie off any appendages, just slow or limit the blood flow by body position.
Journey To Jacked occlusion training IS when you tie off a limb just tightly enough so blood can flow in to our freely but can not flow out so well, which gives you a massive pump effect. But if you do it too tightly or for too long your arm suffocates and falls off of your body - this is called compartment syndrome and should be avoided lmao
yeah that's actually the secret method where you die but then protein synthesis occurs in the grave. make sure you really limit the blood flow and so you can actually die and feel that mind muscle connection better
Everytime I smash a leg workout a few hours later or when I sit for a long period of time and stand up I tend to get painful quad cramps and I am always hydrated.
Vince James you need to stretch more. Also get a foam roller and roll out your quads, hams, glutes and Back. Also if you are having this problem only on leg day, and you are saying your hydrated because you drink as much water as you normally on every other day....you are expending more on leg day, more water, more electrolytes.
No frills and fancy exercises, this guy knows what he’s talking about. Great sense of humour, makes his videos a must to watch. Seth your a friggin legend man !!
Seth Feroce you are the best bro, all the other youtubers give training tips for beginners basically, after 10+ years of lifting you always teach me something new in your videos
i did this routine on Friday and i'm still sore... One of the best workout for legs i've done in long time.. Hoping to grow after a few months with this routine... thanks man
fucken insane nothing more hardcore and perfect to watch then a Seth's training video my bloody idol no heavy breathing useless bodybuilder fit ass hell keep doing what your doing brother
Seth, thanks for the tips man! I'm guilty of going to gym and trying push as much weight as possible without actual thinking about what it is I'm doing - you've definitely helped take my training to a new level in talking about the subtle nuances (where/how/why place your feet at a certain angle, etc.) - much appreciated!
Almost lost the love of lifting been following my workout plan religiously...since following your channel not only I look like a crazy badass in the gym I feel great getting pumps like never before... I'm loving it thank you uncle Seth
Man Seth is the shit in training I wish I had a training partner like him . I have been training to heavy for years I got strong but not bigger like that . Thanks for the vids dude .
Great leg work out video! After watching this and changing my leg workout from my normal my fucken legs are done! Again love you truth in the videos and the dedication you show everyone to helps us better our selves!
James Fulmer 2-3 days a week. Never on leg day. Knees end up giving out. I do them on Chest Day and arm day. I usually have 2-3 days between those body parts.
Seth Feroce and to add to that, the gastrocnemius is being worked during your leg push movements anyway because you're wearing flat shoes making you go into a moderate dorsiflexion which is going to overstretch it since it's origin is the femur.
His workouts are super intense... No time wasting.... Just one of his videos before your workout is good enough to motivate for a powerful intense workout...
Great Vid Seth...Legs and Back are probably the most misunderstood body parts and like you said most people just go to the gym and move weights....But, we do see guys explaining Back.... This the first that I saw, explaining Legs.... Thanks Seth....keep up the great work!.....
question every time I do leg curls I always catch a small cramp behind the thigh is this because my muscles aren't developed much .....I know I'm not dehydrated I drink lots of water
Alpha Kingz Even if you drink a lot of water you can be dehydrated. try drinking 3 parts water 1 part gatorade man I had the same problem and that fixed it. TOO MUCH water can actually be a bad thing
INNERVILLAIN FIT thanks I really appreciate it I've begun in the last 6months to change my life around and take this lifestyle seriously I was 403lbs and no down to 316lbs So I appreciate your help
thanks for the information ! to have SOMEONE finally talk about how to do it safely is "fucking 'a' GREAT AND a relief. Much success and blessings to you and your family! !!
No hate and I absolutely love squats but for me, I don't notice much leggrowth from them. I think 70% of my leg size is from Bulgarian split squats, lunges and some form of a deadlift.
Thanks for all the useful information Seth! It is so refreshing to hear from someone that doesn't bullshit you and gives you solid advice so that you don't waste your time in the gym.
fuck yeah Seth! Great video man. The first 2 minutes of you explaining small manipulations and different leg angles killed it! I just started doing legs that way for about 2 months and I can honestly say it's working out pretty dam good. Post more videos soon bro. Awesome advice.
Just Another Over Taxed Tax Payer 😂😂yes that is what I was referring to. Lol Hitting a brick wall can also be used. Using "Shitting the Bed" makes it sound like you never want it to happen. 😂😂💪👌 And to combat that make sure you are hydrated, nourished and ready. I always have extra carbs for leg day, little more fluids than a typical day.

Usually he stacks more on top of it all.... he is just doing what beasts do

damn 320 kg
That’s not that heavy bro my leg press at my gym has 2 rows each side so you can have double what he has, leg press is pretty easy to push some serious weight. It’s not like squats

Gabriel Romero am changing my routine too. Fuck ego lifting...
How is this going for you?
Gabriel Romero training this way is also a good way to get definition
Wonder how he went
So how did that work out?
I've been lifting almost my whole life and in EVERY video of Seth's I learn some New Major Shit. Seth is the ONLY PRO I have ever known of, that breaks down the techniques that separates the amatures from the professionals. I got no words for how much respect I have for this dude, Thank You Seth

Seth, I seriously love how you touch on hand and foot placement in your videos.

Keep up the good work!
I thought Occlusion training was when you dont let blood return to your heart from your appendage. What you are saying makes more sense though.
Journey To Jacked youre a fucking idiot, please dont reproduce
Journey To Jacked in a way yes, you want to limit the flow, if you stop it, not good, one of the reasons I do not like occlusion training and prefer the "blood Starving" no need to tie off any appendages, just slow or limit the blood flow by body position.

Yeah David! Thats what I was trying to say! You are just much better at writing haha
yeah that's actually the secret method where you die but then protein synthesis occurs in the grave. make sure you really limit the blood flow and so you can actually die and feel that mind muscle connection better
Stumbled on this channel today. Glad I did too! Seth know his shit and knows how to deliver informative content!
Seth can you do a video on calves?
You are the only bodybuilder/youtuber who gets straight to the point and doesn't bullshit around and gives your viewers facts.
Everytime I smash a leg workout a few hours later or when I sit for a long period of time and stand up I tend to get painful quad cramps and I am always hydrated.
Vince James its because youre a bitch
Vince James you need to stretch more. Also get a foam roller and roll out your quads, hams, glutes and Back. Steve McQueen oh look we got an internet tough guy. How you enjoying being tough on the internet kid?
Vince James try getting a massage just for your legs to get some myofacial release
Up your sodium intake. Sodium capsules in water, or add Sea Salt to meals. @vincejames

Seth Feroce that's a good idea. Thanks!!
Seth Feroce and to add to that, the gastrocnemius is being worked during your leg push movements anyway because you're wearing flat shoes making you go into a moderate dorsiflexion which is going to overstretch it since it's origin is the femur.

Hitting a brick wall can also be used. Using "Shitting the Bed" makes it sound like you never want it to happen. 😂😂💪👌
And to combat that make sure you are hydrated, nourished and ready. I always have extra carbs for leg day, little more fluids than a typical day.
