Have been a follower of your channel for a number of years now. You never disappoint. Always learning new tricks and cheats to make awesome animations with Blender. Thank you for everything you share.
Hi Ducky, I'm just revisiting this channel after almost 4 years, to recommend it to a friend. Just wanted to thank you for the videos you created. My very first job was to create visuals for techno parties, based on tutorials that you've done, and after that, I managed to get into the games industry. Keep it up :) .
I used to play with those kind of effects back in Pov-ray/Moray days, way before internets, only spectator of my works was my younger sister. Now I could ve a VJ, lost career opportunity :)
Love the new format, would be helpful to mention at the beginning of any of your vids with this new format to preface to viewers that this is not a direct tutorial -- as I noticed you need basic to novice understanding of geo-nodes to grasp what is being done. Otherwise, great format!
You should try using a float curve node instead of a colour ramp whenever you’re working with float data. A colour ramp takes more computing power, since it’s working with multiple colour channels.
I'm not much into the Motion Graphics side of blender but this was super interesting! The layer weight node and the trick using camera clipping to fake a 'building' animation were particularly insightful! Cheers ✌
Back in the day laserium type concerts were the rage, like the WHO concerts or Moody Blues. There were always concert goers who would throw up, but I think that was more due to the overload on mushrooms haha.
Thanks for sharing some great info! Not a fan of the over-the-shoulder format of the video tutorial. It's nice to be able to see your UI elements clear -- I know you are showing the "broad strokes", but I feel like there is always something to learn when watching someone else click around UI. I don't need the cuts of a video to keep my attention if I am interested in learning something... this format disconnects me from the keystrokes and seeing how you work on a granular level... but I guess that is just my taste. I love seeing the kinds of work you are putting together. Blows my mind to see how blender can be incorporated in so many ways. Great stuff! (edit-- I understand the push as a "preview" and a way to funnel to Patreon. Totally understand now!)
My question Is how to go from these visuals to the huge concert backdrop. I guess for starters is a 1920 x 1080 what I need to create. Is that size universal to project or is it always different. Maybe a tutorial on not the visual itself but after the fact. For instance I have made my trippy visuals now what. Finding clients, pricing the work, what formats and sizes do they need etc. Basically what is your process/workflow to get your work up on the stage? Thanks Ducky
That was inspired video, for this kind of motion graphics, I really wonder what do you think of Sora ai and all the automated text to video that will come ? Any concern? How do you think about this as a motion graphics artist?
Great vídeo. My newby question is: are these animations made in a single blend file or three separated files? After that, in render process, do you generate mp4 files? Thank you!
I would love to know how the painlessly synchronize music to parameters like mesh size, glow ... Like is there a way to modifie a parameter with a .wav file that contains the transients of a music ?
That's my ultimate goal, I'd like to find many more inspiring videos about this topic or youtube videos related to Blender and this specific kind of animation. Anyone have any recommendations?
@@GavStrangethere'll be human made art sure but the people organising the event are likely going to choose the cheapest and fastest option. That being AI.
Not really. Pickyness and details demanded in this field pretty much disbands AI results from use. Something okayis on screen is a disaster when blown up to several meters, HDR dynamic range, ect... not to mention having it nicely looped.
I like the over the shoulder format :)
I love the way you think. Your tutorials are the best! ❤🔥

I appreciate that!
One of the reasons to learn Blender is having Awesome channels like yours around! You're such an inspiration!!! 💯

@@TheDucky3D Ducky, I remember you mentioned once a VJ website where you could sell your motion graphics. Do you have a link to it?
Exactly what I needed thank you

Awesomee stufff... Did you check out Unreal motion graphics launched yesterday... will it replace after effects and will it collaborate with Blender?
Not sure I need to check it out

I'm surprised you didn't use audio to keyframes to make it animate to the rhythm.
A lot of the times clients don’t ask for that
how did you get that volumetrics effect with the lights?
yeah I'm also interested in the answer
The over the shoulder looks nice, but I can't see the notes exactly :(
Nathan, did you lose the screen capture?
How do you export that render?? i mean, is there something in particular that i have to do because its for concerts?
💖
How did you loop?
yes my job .
how can you have the light beam effect ? can i have the name of the add on or maybe the render engine pls ? thanks
This was the eevee engine
what your computer spec? pls?
this is cycle or octane?
Eevee
thanks brother
@@TheDucky3D Is there a proper way to render using png in cycle?
Hehe but i guess this field will be lost to AI tools very soon.
No way! As long as there's humans, there will be human-made art!
