- Backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra in a concert filmed at St. Luke's Church in London during her world tour in 2008, critically acclaimed vocalist K.D. Lang sings Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". After hearing it Cohen's partner, singer Anjani Thomas, looked at Cohen and said "well, I think we can lay that song to rest now! It's really been done to its ultimate blissful state of perfection."

In my opinion this is her very best version of this song. Absolutely fantastic!
This is the best rendition I have ever heard of this song. The setting is perfect, as are the backing musicians. K D Lang is allowed to perform to the highest level by the audience. They respect her, allow her to sing without squealing, whistling and whooping throughout. They sit in silence, reserving applause till the end. That is what distinguishes this from her other performances.
Is she in Canada..that could be why..
