I don't usually like when a song is remade by another artist, ever.....but, KD? She just improves on the original of any artist every time💜 A couple that come quickly to mind are 'Halelluja" and Roy Orbisons' tunes, KD just hits them out of the ball park❣

These are true artists keeping our attention with their amazing voices. No need for side shows, light shows, screeching, distracting dancers, etc. I believe that the voices & songs are the entertainment. Everything else is a distraction. True talent doesn't need distractions.

They both approach this so differently, Elton punching in with intensity, k.d. just offering the most gentle integrity and honest emotion, but they go together so beautifully.

How about... vocals of fluid silk and / or velvet (when needed). A few great voices out there but no one makes goosebumps or eyes water in emotion like KD Lang. Femme phenom!

KD Lang and Karen Carpenter have the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard. Such a shame that KD has retired from music.
Maybe semi-retired, hopefully. She use to say she wanted to sing until she was 90 and she does love to sing.....maybe, just maybe she will surprise us one day. There's alway hope! ( I don't even want to think about a world without kd writing and singing.) There's always her art...if she would share that with us.

God, I love this song. I'm 80 years and have always loved this song. Makes no difference who sings it. Elton and K.D. you've done good.
Phrasing, are you crazy? Elton looks blown away by her vocals as she starts singing the song. If you notice he even slows the tempo down in order to savor her voice. I would even venture to say he had a chill at the start. They are fantastic together in this performance. Sadly the majority of new artists just don't sing like this anymore. Hopefully it comes back.
Elton has a weak voice, she really shows that here, however he was one of the worst vocalist of his generations in my ear! Still a good singer, song writer, performer, but not a great voice!

At 85, almost 86, K.D. Lang has the best voice ever fir singing. In fact, I love her speaking voice. She interviews better than anyone. She is forthright and speaks respectively and honestly. I believe she is the most engaging person in this day!

10 year long battle with very Rare Skin Cancer.
He was only 33yrs. old.

And how the song reminds them about someone they loved who is now dead. People, some things should remain private--everyone is not interested about hearing your sob stories. Have a little more respect for yourselves and your loved ones. Keep their memories in your heart and stop posting your grief in public. Yes. You've got to google her. Maybe start with her 2005 Juno performance of Cohen's song which I will probably here misspell, Allelujiah. She has an incredible voice which will probably not be majorly recognized in her lifetime.
