At 85, almost 86, K.D. Lang has the best voice ever fir singing. In fact, I love her speaking voice. She interviews better than anyone. She is forthright and speaks respectively and honestly. I believe she is the most engaging person in this day!
Phrasing, are you crazy? Elton looks blown away by her vocals as she starts singing the song. If you notice he even slows the tempo down in order to savor her voice. I would even venture to say he had a chill at the start. They are fantastic together in this performance. Sadly the majority of new artists just don't sing like this anymore. Hopefully it comes back.
Elton has a weak voice, she really shows that here, however he was one of the worst vocalist of his generations in my ear! Still a good singer, song writer, performer, but not a great voice!
I don't usually like when a song is remade by another artist, ever.....but, KD? She just improves on the original of any artist every time💜 A couple that come quickly to mind are 'Halelluja" and Roy Orbisons' tunes, KD just hits them out of the ball park❣
