I do not have back pain but my butt hurts so much I cant even stand let alone walk. I do have alot of tingling and numbness in my left leg and my piriformis muscle hurts like it would be less pain to cut off the whole leg. I dont know what is wrong with me, I dont have access to doctor because I live in a small village in Africa

Not a doctor, nor medical expert.
But dealt with a lot of the same stuff for almkst a decade now so ive done a lot of research. And i maje sure i only get my information from credible sources, ie doctors, physical therapists, or sometimes even sports scientists.
Unfortunately yours could be caused by stenosis of some sort or a herniated causing those symptoms or it could also be what is referred to as "piriformis" syndrome.
It could be any of those as they all can and tend to result in sciatic nerve pain like that!
If stretching out the piriformis and doing exercise to strengthen it make it go away or help with symptoms that is great news. Even if stretch is horribly painful to start, trick is to go very slow.
Otherwise you may be stuck with something more severe.
My hernia recently got worse, thankfully the excruciating/debilitating pain has subsided and only comes back if I end up lifting too much at some point in the day. But now there is constant pins and needles and numbness.
Good news is I'll be seeing a surgeon as I've tried every other option doctors give.
My advice, keep researching and moving as much as you can.
Once you stop, those muscles will just keep getting tighter putting more pressure on the nerve causing more pain.
Hopefully you don't need surgery brother, expensive and always a little risky.
      May you find a solution!

@@joshymcdaniel9233 oooff, my L5 is messed up too, pain all the way down the leg. What most annoys me though is the severe lack of range of motion. Used to think I had lingering pain from an old ankle injury, nope just the sciatica acting up. PT, Chiropractic, and back injections all helped but only temporarily, some of them only a couple of hours. Finally trying surgery after a decade. Hope you get good help!
What did you mean by "due to scored if to dr?"

Not a doctor, but from my experience, it's a herniated disc at L5-S1 pressing on your L5 nerve root.

Interesting. What's going on in my case then? I have spondy 0/1 degree and disc bulge about 8mm in MRI on L5/S1 and no stenosis in the image, but my symptoms are like for.lateral stenosis (extensions painful, flexing helps). Do you maybe have a idea? I dont know what exercises I could do not to worsen my case. Please reply.

Your description of "leaning on the shopping cart" is perfect for me. At one physical therapy session - I'm waiting until next year until my insurance covers more - I was told I had a disc or discs that had less fluid than they should. However, pain, which only happens when standing or walking, is essentially equal on both sides and never goes down the leg. Can this still be lateral stenosis?
I cannot kneel, like a lot of people, due to knee injury and arthritis. I can get up and down from the floor, but can't put weight directly on my knees. I will be searching your channel for back exercises that do not require kneeling.

I have yet to see a video or explanation of stenosis caused, or agravated by, scoliosis. This is my problem. Surgery seems to be the only option. I have had scoliosis since age of 11. At this point it actually has made a difference. I have all the symptoms of stenosis (shopping cart syndrome), but I can't believe only surgery will fix this.

But if you have a collapsing/flattening disc in the lumbar area you could experience some pain/tingling on both sides due to the vertebra closing down on the nerves at that level. At least that's my experience

I herniated L5 S1 23 years ago had surgery, laminectomy discectomy. Now latest tests show degenerative disc disease, herniation L5 S1 and spinal stenosis. What is my best option for relief? I'm only 51 have young children. I injured my back over a week ago symptoms are only getting worse. Please advise what would be my best option. I'm assuming surgery again possible disc replacement since a lamiectomy was done but now in worse pain that 1st time injured. I was lucky for about 20 years able to carry 3 children full term but ended up having a c section with the last at 42. I'm terrified I'm not going to be able to walk soon if left too long as it is affecting my quality of life. I am losing muscle mass in my legs. Weight is good but unable to walk for long or do any strenuous exercises. Thank you.

I have no idea what mine is. I had 2 lower herniated discs operated on 20 yrs ago on my right side and now for the past year or so, it's flared up again, but more local on top butt with just some tingling in the leg. It's so bad i can't even lift my leg up, say, to peddal a bike and trying to do my shoes is a task. I thought maybe it was arthritis setting in, bone on bone, but i don't know. 😔

And just recommend surgery I'm 23 and hate the thought of surgery but don't know how to stretch since i was told I shouldn't be bending forward because of my herniated disc but when I stretch backwards it hurts the spinal stenosis.. Wtf

I'm the same. I walk bend, 50 meters, have to stop re pain. Try to stretch, pain high sky.
Had to bend at work more than while walking, pain even more high sky.
I thought I had congenital foraminal spinal stenosis, and it started from sciatic pain in both legs. I've started thinking if I got slipped disc or something else because the pain, after too much bending becomes excruciating. Needed ambulance and happy gas on one occasion, on another one just stood up for hours, took co-codamol 30/500 x 2, no help, ended up drinking four beers because it was coming 2 a.m. They helped just to move to bed. In the morning good enough to get up in about 30 min.time (but it was OK in comparison to the terrible disc? episodes.
I'm in my 40's, all happened suddenly. I was active, happy, and become passive, spending hours in bed (lost my job recently because I couldn’t be reliable any more). WTF?

Does your legs ever feel like they have no circulation like you need to stand up so blood can rush through? Or they get this weird feeling that is unexplainable & you try and sit in a tub it hopes that makes it better ? What are your legs issues. I was diagnosed with both & I’ve been dealing with this pain for 7 years my dr never gave me a MRI just muscle relaxers that never worked and told me to lose weight I got a new dr first thing she did was a MRI & explained to me why I feel
This pain in my lower back all the time & I get spasms that shoot from my butt up the right side of my back randomly feels so good to
At least know what it is & to have someone that can finally help me my back hurts even when it’s super cold, sitting, stand, cleaning, mopping, running, working out when I first wake up in the morning & for some reason the pain is 20x worse on my menstrual. I have a referral to meet with a neurosurgeon at this point I’m willing to do whatever to have my back free of pain so I do regular things again
