Guys, I'm challenging myself, and you as well. New videos will be coming out daily for 30 days. Welcome to April challenge day 1/30. ✅ Are you ready to learn for 30 days without a break? Who's with me? 💪
Thank you to create such a beautiful video.. I love they way you are teaching . You explain clearly and your tone is so plain . It easier to follow and digest ..I have subscribed your channel . I am expecting more lessons from you ..
This is amazing. I started learning português 130 days ago and this has always been confusing to me. Obrigada pela ajuda, agora entendo! You're a great teacher, I subscribed.
Hi, Jonas, thanks for the comment. I've read your original comment before you edited it, so I would just like to refer to that. Duolingo uses the Brazilian version, and they actually make no difference between this/that, that's why it was confusing. :) Keep up the good work. :)
No app or exercise could have explained it better than the way you did. Amazing explanation and clearly understood the use. No confusion at all. Thank you maria ! muito obrigado maria
@@silveriorebelo8045 Dear Silverio Rebelo, thank you for participating in the community but it's enough now and your profile will be banned here. I patiently listened to your malicious comments for a while thinking that you really come here with a good intention but I'm not gonna let you insult the others here. Please find another place to be mean with people and please, try to see something positive around you, it will help you. All the best.
I am taking classes in my local senior academy and we are using the book Aprender Portuguese 1 níveis A1 and A2, this is exactly what we are studying now, this video has really helped understand how to use prognoses demonstrativos. Thank you!
This is so helpful. Thanks so much. I've been trying to figure these words out for weeks and you have just made it very clear. Muito obrigada Maria. You are AMAZING.
muito obrigado Maria . é uma coisa muita importante ! muy diferente de outras linguas e muito confusa ! os pronomes demonstrativos sao agora mais claro !
Hi, I'm new to your channel, and enjoying your lessons. This one is great for explaining carefully the scary subject of determiners which I have not mastered before. Thank you.
I like the way you explained determinantes and demonstrativos. This is a good review for me. I knew this grammar but what I didn’t know was how the plural works with isto/isso/aquilo because I just realised that I have never used those words with a plural object, only with something singular! Probably just as well since I would have used incorrectly. But, now I know how to use them properly.
I started with Duolingo and I find a lot of differences in pronounciation for a lot of words. It is nice to have a lot of insights about a certain language and for sure I found my favorite professor on RUclips for Portuguese. Thanks a lot for your contribution to our learning!
Love these videos, I'm new to Portugese and this has helped break it down which is amazing. I was wondering if there was some learning exercises to do to really sink it in the brain after your explanations ?
That's a great question and I can answer from my personal experience because Portuguese is not my native language. Whatever you learn, the best practice is to apply it in your daily life. You need to use it intentionally, you need to put it into practice so that your brain can understand that's actually something useful and applicable and not just another (useless) piece of information. It's good to repeat with me, it's good to write it down, but then comes the hardest or the most interesting part- understanding when and where you are going to use it. So, whatever you think about, whatever you talk about in the next couple of days, force yourself to use these words intentionally. Formulate every sentence around these words. After a while, that will become natural.
You are such a good teacher, Maria! Have you thought about making a patreon to put out a Portuguese podcast or other content? I would 100% sign up to support that!
Dear, thank you so much for the comment and the suggestion, I truly appreciate it. I haven't thought of podcasts, but I've been considering a course with a community where I would be able to interact more with people, and post a lot more material of different kinds... The idea's still in progress, however, but I may think of the podcast as well. :)

No Brasil é muito comum confundirem os pronomes demonstrativos e os determinantes, pois não respeitam a regra da proximidade em relação ao objecto.
Vielen Dank für Ihre Mühe. Wunderbar

Practice making plural just for fun. If nothing else, you're improving the pronunciation and training your brain to get used to the sound /sh/.
