- In this video I install the Norxi Mini 4 tachometer to my Yamaha Jog artistic spec 50cc moped.
It has good features, RPM gauge, voltage reading, engine temperature and time.

Good call not putting holes in your plastic. Took me 2 years scouring Ebay to find mint panels for my headset. Came off a razz but they are the same as a cy50. Still sitting in the box cause I dont want to risk breaking them lol. Good idea mounting the gauge off the mirror mount. I made a bracket that screws to one of the top mounting screws for the handle bar fairing beside the speedo.
I know it’s very hard to get replacements for these, hardly any peds left now
@@retrosmoke there is aftermarket for all panels except this style headset. The aftermarket fitment is hit or miss.
You can always get a switched power off the horn power too btw, one guy on a forum board found this tobwork just fine and that is what i did.
hola amigo, tengo la misma moto ( color y modelo ) estoy en proceso de restauracion ( 30% ) me encanta este video y los otros. valoro la informacion y los tips. gracias saludos desde Argentina, buenos aires!
Thank you sir! Enjoy 🇦🇷
Best thing u can buy to tune a ped is a tach for the revs 😊
Totally Agree mate! Good to know the temp as well. Revs up to about 11.5k which is good
@retrosmoke nice not bad mate, my polini corsa 70cc jog rr doesn't make peak power till around 11.5k lol
Could you tell me where you get the tuning parts for these bud ? Do the newer yamaha jog r bore kits cranks and exhausts fit these ? Thanks 😊
I bought NORXI's mini RPM meter two months ago. The initial mode was set for a two-stroke engine. After changing it to a four-stroke engine mode, everything was normal. The brightness is very high. But the shortcomings are also obvious, the speed is refreshed. The frequency refreshes about once every 1 second. So I want to try NORXI's MINI 4IN1 meter. After watching your video, I think the speed refresh frequency of the 4IN1 meter is still not fast enough.
thanks for your comment!
My only concern, does this tachometer water resistant?
I think resistant but not proof!
Hows it holding up?
Good until I left my bike out in the rain for a few days and now the display is a bit naff lol
@@retrosmoke oopsie, I already ordered it and received it. Seems like I’d be able to safeguard it by wraping it in food wrap? Any better suggestions?
@@fuzailhamid1122 well my bike was left right in the constant rain for days and it eventually got inside the display, it did dry out however, just sometimes a few bits missing on the numbers! That sounds like a good idea I never thought of that myself!
