- For his first headlining show in Toronto, rapper @ConnorPrice_ brought his bouncy rhythms and fast-paced flow to a sold-out crowd at History. Joined by DJ @Official4KORNERS, Price beamed as he performed his upbeat tracks including “Violet,” “Buddy” and other fan favourites. He surprised concertgoers with his Till Next Time collaborator, @iamnicd, and the two performed swift, lively renditions of “Bankroll,” “It’s Going Down,” “Swordfish,” and more. The audience was energetic and joyful, yelling along to every song, including the slick track "Trendsetter," which he performed with @HaviahMighty. “Having a big response from the Toronto fans meant the world to me,” Price told CBC Music.

Connor is so multitalented - he can rap, sing, produce, act, edit, draw, AND put on a killer performance. Crazy how much talent one person has

Connor doesn’t produce or draw. He’s had a close friend producing for him for a very long time, who would be Graham. I’m fairly certain he hires an artist for all the album covers, but I don’t have confirmation on that

love it that he hass almost no background vocal in the beat and raps everything by himsself
As a metalhead where most bands preform completely live and if there were other vocals in the studio they get done by the other band members live, its really weird to hear Conners own voice in the backing track. Not saying its bad, just a very different style of preforming. Also the difference of having the low end beats and the vocals with nothing in between like rhythm guitar and bass, is very different.
@@senditkevin True, but you can't lie, he was fighting his own limits vocaly, the safe bet was to have it in the back to help cover when he overdid it a bit between breaths. Who knows, with enough experience live, he might gain the vocal stamina to rely on it less. For a first time, he did amazing!
@senditkevin metal head here and I agree always feels weird when people can't or at least prefer to not perform their song as it's written or they write so it's impossible to perform without backing tracks.
Hip hop live always felt weird because you're watching people talk in rhythm. Everything else is backing tracks or designed to make up for their inability to perform what they wrote. In metal you're usually watching everything performed at a level most people wont ever attain

I don't want to go to a "live concert" to hear stuff recorded, of course some bands that have orchestral parts that they can't easily replicate with an orchestra get a pass because touring with a full orchestra just isn't financially possible for most. But if they were miming the riff or solos that is a completely different story.
@senditkevin i don't mind backing tracks and such but if you CANT perform without them you are not what makes the song great and if a recording makes the song great just listen to the recording.
Connor, the reason we're fans of you, the artist, not just the songs is cause you're wholesome and humble and honest... you have mad talent, no lie, but lots of people have talent without humility... THAT is why we love YOU... the world is absolutely starving for humble gratitude... keep that up above all else, and you will be a god among men long after the music fades... I was there for that show, the age gap in fans was huge! 8 year olds to 68 year olds, from everyone in between.
The best concert I have ever been to every song and artist brought their love for the music, each other, and the venue was blessed with this unique flow of electric new rap/hiphop.

What I like abour Connor is that every song has a unique beat, which is rare to find in the rap scene today. Drake, D-Block Europe, 21 Savage... all generic and samey beats. You don't get that with Connor.

I think the thing I admire most is that his shows are appropriate for all ages and the vibe is still immaculate. He doesnt need cursing, lewd lyrics, or half naked dancers to keep the crowd invested in him and the music. Very rare and something that needs to be looked at by other rappers or they will continue to fall behind and make lackluster music and be mocked by the rap community.
