I can see that it would be difficult for somebody not raised in this community to join and adapt to it, but it really seems to me like the best way of living. I envy your being raised in it and able to participate fully.

I can literally feel the change of season in your vlog! When I was a kid, we lived for a couple of years in the country and we were always busy working in my parents' garden, and going out into the hills to pick berries! This vlog brought back all the smells of my childhood! The smell of earth, the smell of apples, even the smell of the crisp air! Looking forward to seeing the video of your trip! Have lots of fun!

Giselle, I’m buying fruits, veggies and eggs from Hutterite ladies at the farmers market. Every time they give me something and doesn’t want money for it. I would like to pay them back somehow. Can you please give me some ideas of what would be an appropriate and useful gifts for young Hutterite women?

Oh honey!!! If there was anyway to send you pic, I’ll show you overpacking! We went to Florida a few years ago. We had to take one SUV with a trailer and my son’s regular car. When we arrived at the resort, the people just stared! We were only there for 5-7 days. I took pics and kept a hat of so nobody in the lobby would associate me with my husband and 3 of my children. Too bad my oldest son isn’t a Hutterite cause he is a hard working, very nice looking, smart, Christian young man. He has it together! You’re sweet enough for him. Lol. I so hope you enjoyed yourself. I thought maybe you guys came down to the Dakota’s based on the scenery from the YT short. I hope you had a wonderful, safe trip and enjoyed this beautiful world God gave us. I’m fortunate to live in a gorgeous area of the USA as well but I need to take more time to appreciate it. When i was a kid, we had lots of poppies. I used to like eating poppy seeds. My mother discouraged it and said we would get crazy from eating too many poppy seeds.
I had no idea where poppy seeds came from....lol, that was so interesting to me, see how we learn something new every day! Thank you again Giselle for posting your vlogs, you are such a joy and have such a lovely way of sharing your life with all of us. I hope you had a FANTASTIC time on your trip.
