when I was young in the 60s and 70s the whole church would have a summer picnic like this. And also when my whole family (aunts uncle cousins) would go to my grandparents. It’s nice to know it’s still going on. Thanks for the joy from one child of God to another

I have day Lillie’s around my house. I was told to pop off the seed pods and it produces more flowers. I think it tricks the plant into thinking they didn’t make seeds. So the plant makes more flowers to seed. Idk but it works! 😊
Thanks for sharing, ours this year weren't a nice as they usually are and we think it might be the red bugs we found on them, we really don't want to lose them. ❤

I miss picnics. All our elders have passed and everyone's so busy with their jobs that they don't dare miss for, of all things, a PICNIC. Next year, how about a slip n slide. A long piece of heavy plastic sheeting, coated with a mixture of Dawn dish soap and glycerin. Add water and let the fun begin.

So much fun, Giselle. I like the idea of slip and slide hopscotch and kickball. I'll pass that along to our Vacation Bible School director. The tiger lilies are lovely too. I think I will plant some for next year. We've also had a lot of thunder storms and the weather is extremely hot right now even though it was normal for two weeks. My grandson Silas would love ❤ those giant 🗯 bubbles. The 🍉 watermelon looks so sweet and red. Thanks for taking us along with you. I did get the devotional that you use. I found it at Hobby Lobby. I might get some of those for Christmas gifts this year. Be the salt and light of Jesus❤➕ ❤
The bubbles are just two pieces of string attached to sticks and then dipped into the bubble mixture, the kids spent hours with them 😊

I completely understand the excitement of fresh veggies. My favorite summer meals is garden spaghetti . Whatever vegetables are ripe are roasted and served on spaghetti noodles . It is good with or without out meat . Bacon brings it up a notch .
