    Do you use a camera strap? 📷

    OMG. Thanks SO much. I have been breaking my finger nails trying to get that black plastic triangle off.

    I found it a bit simpler to push the plastic triangle upwards over the metal eye on the camera body. It pops out quite nicely, without having to use much force. Then I unthreaded the metal triangle same as in the video.
    Although I did it on an X-T5 which doesn’t have the leather strap bits.
    Thank you for the guide, very helpful.

    Thank you so much for this. My XT4 just arrived and this is the first thing I wanted to do so it fits in the cage without them hanging out. Very helpful!

      @@olgadekell Why do you need to put the black plastic thing over the metal triangle, can you not just put a strap around the metal triangle and be done with it.

      @@olgadekell I've done the same. But not convinced that its the most comfortable manner of wearing the camera for longer periods because the side of the camera rest against your body, rather than the flat back of the camera.

    Hi there! Thanks for the video, however, I'm still struggling - the plastic inserts are so tight that even with a knife they're not budging - any tips?
    Also, I saw in the comments that you have the Peak Design straps? I was thinking of buying the anchor links and wondered if they'd fit on the XT-4?

    • @olgadekell
      @olgadekell  3 года назад +1

      Not sure, mine weren’t too difficult to remove. I have my peak design clips mounted to the camera tripod plate, they don’t fit in the camera eyelets holes if the plastic/metal inserts are removed as they are too thick.

      @@olgadekell ah darn, then I guess I'll stick to the stock setup then! Thank you for saving me money and time.

      Needle nose pliers.

      Pull the sides of the plastic apart and downwards, towards the narrow end of the triangle eyelet at the same time. Then it slides off quite easily. The Peak Design strap anchors fit if you don't remove the eyelets, just the leather flaps.

      if you don't use the leather, the plastic will protect the camera a little bit more against micro scratches.
