The buddhist thripitaka(Pali Canon) was written in Sri Lanka. This contributed a lot to keep buddhism accurate and documented through out the rest of the years. Until then all sutras and sermens were verbally transfered from generation to generation.

Very interesting. All too often do people forget that Buddhism actually started off in India, despite modern India being mostly Hindu and Islamic. Also I like the new animation style!
India never forgot buddhism. It was essentially a reform in Hinduism and it did it's part and gradually got internalized in Hinduism. It was never meant to replace it. Post Buddhist hindu culture was much different. A new gem Advaita philosophy was born which beautifully took best of old and new, animal sacrifice was stopped in many cultures, social equality got a strong proponent. Rise of nationalist Hinduism was a response to Islamic attacks without which India would have become like Afghanistan.
India isn't Islamic and will never be... Don't insult India by saying it's Islamic... Our ancestors sacrificed their life to save india and Indians culture.

The Iranian people were actually really diverse religiously. Most of Persia proper was Zoroastrian as were their empires, but further east like in modern Afghanistan, Baluchistan, Central Asia, Sinkiang, those regions were almost entirely Iranian, while also being religions like Buddhist, Hindu, Manichean, even pagan sun worshippers - the Zunbils were Pashtun. Not to mention further west the Kurdish people had their own native religion, while also being notably Christian. The Alans of the Pontic steppe were still pagan, while also being influenced by the Zoroastrian teachings of Persia (before converting to Christian in the 8th or 9th century)

Thanks to the kings and emperors for spreading Buddhism and the teachings of Buddha from Mainland India to the Korean peninsula and to the peaceful lands of Japan. The Journey of the spread of Buddhism quickly accelerated by traders and merchants via Silk Road and reach the lands of different cultures and emperors. Today, Buddhism is mainly practiced in Mainland South East Asia and East Asia, Sri Lanka and Bhutan ( The only Buddhist nations in South Asia ), to Kalmykia ( The Only Buddhist Region in Europe ).
oh I really want to go to Sri Lanka. Because I love Buddhism. I was suppose to go there once. But the booking kept failing. So I went to Bali instead. Bali was beautiful. But if I could turn back time, Id chose Sri Lanka.

I think anybody can claim those years because there is no evidence where he was at the point in his life. Infact there are claims he was in Britain, Americas in his missing years. Some claims are not easy to rule out because there is no evidence on both side so it just remains. Can he go to India ? Ofcourse he can because there was silk road and people were connected and travelled across via silk road.

About China, in 67 AD, East Han Dynasty emperor, Liu Zhuang, saw a golden statue in his dream. He asked someone what that was. Someone told him that was Budda. He sent the emissary to India. The monk brought the Buddhist script to China. The temple, White Horse , was built in 68 AD to accommodate the arrival of Buddhists. The Buddhism definitely arrived in China way before that. The emperor must have seen somewhere in the pictures or hear from someone. That was the reason he dreamt the golden statue. Started 68 AD, Buddhism started flourished in China. Not sure why you mentioned that Buddhism did come China until 4th century. I cannot use the Common sense. I need to check the record. Started 189AD, China had major civil war for at least 400 hundred years. Except 280 to early 300 short peace time, there were major wars every day. Hundred of thousands people were killed, tortured, starved, or forced relocated every year. Buddhism actually because of that because people need the help spiritual during the chaotic time. Many Chinese leaders in northern Cjina were avid Buddhists, ironically, many of them were brutal tyrannies. In southern, there were record people worshipped Buddhism in southern China way before 400ad

Im following up other sources, and by 900 CE Vajrayana disappeared for the last time in India (based on this video animation) and spreads to almost half of China in Nyingma sect. While the last Vajrayana is still present as well in half of Indonesia, I believe (based on this video) it is from Indonesia that made it across Vajrayana into the Philippines by about 900 CE?
Also, I'm curious if Vajrayana is born from the fusion of belief from the First 2 original sects, as Sthaviravada and Mahasamghika (which suddenly become Mahayana when it spreads to Indonesia for the first time). Then, Vajrayana came to Indonesia by about 700 CE replacing Mahayana (based in this video)

You can't draw a map of the spread of Buddhism since religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism,...etc don't have strict values that define them like in Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Dharmic religions usually don't mind fusing with each other.
The sects do actually have pretty strict values. Actual, practicing Buddhists live under a regimen where almost no worldly pleasures are allowed. The problem is that most people who call themselves "Buddhists" don't practice the religion.
I think you are in error. Some Dharmic religions DO mind fusing. Taoist emperors persecuted Buddhists in the 800s until a later emperor converted to Buddhism; and in India, after 500 AD, the Bhakti, Shaivism, Shaktism, Vaishnavism, Smarta Hindu divisions tolerated Buddhism (and the Jain) a lot less, especially with the later threat of Islam making the Hindus more militant. India went from about 30%ish Buddhist, 30%ish Jain and 30%ish Hindu in 500s to very, very few Buddhist & Jain by 1500s, because India was divided between Hindu, Muslim and Sikh.

While the Uygur people have every right to believe in their religion and self determination, the Buddhist kingdoms of Tarim (Khotan, Turfan, Shanshan, etc.) were an extremely unique and beautiful culture and I am quite sad to see it in ruins.

Those peoples are interested to know about the Buddha and Buddhist please visit Lumbini the birth place of Buddha which is in Nepal. If you are interested to go there you need at least two days for Lumbini only because it’s covered really big area and many Buddhist countries have invested to build their own style of monasteries representing their countries.

The buddhist thripitaka(Pali Canon) was written in Sri Lanka. This contributed a lot to keep buddhism accurate and documented through out the rest of the years. Until then all sutras and sermens were verbally transfered from generation to generation.

India never forgot buddhism. It was essentially a reform in Hinduism and it did it's part and gradually got internalized in Hinduism. It was never meant to replace it. Post Buddhist hindu culture was much different. A new gem Advaita philosophy was born which beautifully took best of old and new, animal sacrifice was stopped in many cultures, social equality got a strong proponent. Rise of nationalist Hinduism was a response to Islamic attacks without which India would have become like Afghanistan.
India isn't Islamic and will never be... Don't insult India by saying it's Islamic... Our ancestors sacrificed their life to save india and Indians culture.

The Iranian people were actually really diverse religiously. Most of Persia proper was Zoroastrian as were their empires, but further east like in modern Afghanistan, Baluchistan, Central Asia, Sinkiang, those regions were almost entirely Iranian, while also being religions like Buddhist, Hindu, Manichean, even pagan sun worshippers - the Zunbils were Pashtun. Not to mention further west the Kurdish people had their own native religion, while also being notably Christian. I am a follower of both Buddhism and Hinduism. Most of the Nepalese especially Magar and Newar people do follow this two religions at the same time.

About China, in 67 AD, East Han Dynasty emperor, Liu Zhuang, saw a golden statue in his dream. He asked someone what that was. Someone told him that was Budda. He sent the emissary to India. The monk brought the Buddhist script to China. The temple, White Horse , was built in 68 AD to accommodate the arrival of Buddhists. The Buddhism definitely arrived in China way before that. The emperor must have seen somewhere in the pictures or hear from someone. That was the reason he dreamt the golden statue. Started 68 AD, Buddhism started flourished in China. Not sure why you mentioned that Buddhism did come China until 4th century. I cannot use the Common sense. I need to check the record. Started 189AD, China had major civil war for at least 400 hundred years. Except 280 to early 300 short peace time, there were major wars every day. Hundred of thousands people were killed, tortured, starved, or forced relocated every year. Buddhism actually because of that because people need the help spiritual during the chaotic time. Many Chinese leaders in northern Cjina were avid Buddhists, ironically, many of them were brutal tyrannies. In southern, there were record people worshipped Buddhism in southern China way before 400ad

Im following up other sources, and by 900 CE Vajrayana disappeared for the last time in India (based on this video animation) and spreads to almost half of China in Nyingma sect. While the last Vajrayana is still present as well in half of Indonesia, I believe (based on this video) it is from Indonesia that made it across Vajrayana into the Philippines by about 900 CE?
Also, I'm curious if Vajrayana is born from the fusion of belief from the First 2 original sects, as Sthaviravada and Mahasamghika (which suddenly become Mahayana when it spreads to Indonesia for the first time). Then, Vajrayana came to Indonesia by about 700 CE replacing Mahayana (based in this video)

You can't draw a map of the spread of Buddhism since religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism,...etc don't have strict values that define them like in Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Dharmic religions usually don't mind fusing with each other.
The sects do actually have pretty strict values. Actual, practicing Buddhists live under a regimen where almost no worldly pleasures are allowed. The problem is that most people who call themselves "Buddhists" don't practice the religion.
I think you are in error. Some Dharmic religions DO mind fusing.
Taoist emperors persecuted Buddhists in the 800s until a later emperor converted to Buddhism; and in India, after 500 AD, the Bhakti, Shaivism, Shaktism, Vaishnavism, Smarta Hindu divisions tolerated Buddhism (and the Jain) a lot less, especially with the later threat of Islam making the Hindus more militant.
India went from about 30%ish Buddhist, 30%ish Jain and 30%ish Hindu in 500s to very, very few Buddhist & Jain by 1500s, because India was divided between Hindu, Muslim and Sikh.

While the Uygur people have every right to believe in their religion and self determination, the Buddhist kingdoms of Tarim (Khotan, Turfan, Shanshan, etc.) were an extremely unique and beautiful culture and I am quite sad to see it in ruins.

Those peoples are interested to know about the Buddha and Buddhist please visit Lumbini the birth place of Buddha which is in Nepal. If you are interested to go there you need at least two days for Lumbini only because it’s covered really big area and many Buddhist countries have invested to build their own style of monasteries representing their countries.
Funny part is Buddhism in Myanmar start showing from lower Myanmar like western colonies historian claims but no evidence are found in lower Myanmar from that time but only in upper myanmar - Pyu civilisation, historian found Buddhist motifs earliest from 340CE and the earliest Buddhism monuments in south east Asia existing untill now. In India there is no remaining of any any anicient hindu or buddhist temple. Largest hindu temple is in Cambodia and Largest buddhist temple is in indonesia.
Only southern India have two anicient temples. All the temples in India is build after independence. All those mighty temples of anicient story were destroyed by west asian invasion of India during medival era (1100 ad to 1700). All the anicient university and millions of manuscript were burned during islamic invasion. You should know about Nalanda university and takshshila university which even predates Oxford cambridge.

Too bad most of it has been replaced by Islam in Southeast Asia, North India and Central Asia.
