Anna's dad has given me the creeps since the first time I saw him on 19 kids. And editing the sermons...we that does not make it any better. This is what happens when anyone can get ordained because they "feel called". And yes, it is gaslighting!
I’ve heard his sermon the man sounds like an complete idiot and it’s no wonder Anna is in the situation that’s she in everyone in her life has failed her. JimBob really took advantage of the situation and convinced her parents that Josh should marry Anna. They lives in a single trailer home with 7 kids and is dirt poor because he knew no one in town wanted to marry him so he found someone from out of state who lived hundreds of miles away to do it.
Sounds like are doing nothing tp stop these comments being made, instead they will edit it. They should let it be known that comments like those will not be tolerated.

This is ridiculous! If someone who is a religious leader of some kind was trying to pry in to what is going on in my bedroom, I would slap him across the face and leave. A church is not meant to control every aspect of your life. If they start trying to, chances are they are not a church a sane person would want to be involved in.

I totally agree. I was raised Catholic and we had a priest that creeped me out. I was in highschool and when I went to confession (face to face) he asked me if my dad or my brothers ever touched me sexually. I was SO disgusted & mad!! I left & told my mom what happened & she absolutely loved this priest. Years later, he was on the news for being one of the priests that abused alter boys. I went to my mom's to watch the news & she was SO shocked. I told her that I knew he was creepy but she didn't believe me. She did apologize. I'm still very spiritual, but I no longer attend church.

I always hear MEN preaching about how a wife is supposed to submit to their husbands. I never hear MEN preaching this verse. Ephesians 5:25: “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” That is a big order that men must fill. How many MEN can say that they have heard a sermon on this verse?
this is a point I press with that verse. Unless a man loves his wife as christ loved the church, anything they do and say relating to her should be self sacrificing, respectful, deferring and kind... it just doesn't happen. my first marriage, my husband would elbow me in church during that sermon, my now husband is a loving man, loves both christ and me

Since David Waller thinks that Josh is such an upstanding Christian and loving dad, would he allow his children to stay at Josh's for overnite visits?

People keep saying things like this as though he would see a problem with it. He wouldn’t have seen an issue with this for sure before the trial (probably wouldn’t afterward if Josh upholds his outward faith) and he almost certainly has already done this many many times. To think Priscilla wouldn’t have sent her kids to be watched by her sister Anna is just not something that would make sense in their worldview. They legit believe Josh is a good person and that his misdeeds (if they believe they actually happened) are aberrations and not the rule.

I just got so nauseous. I'm scared for these children, for all the children in families who buy into this crap. It's dangerous and needs to be stopped. They are all running for office, hoping to force the US into a Christian nation (Which we ARE NOT. The US is the first country not to have a national church for a reason. We may still be the only nation without an official state religion, and it needs to stay that way.) I imagine none of these men have qualifications to be a pastor. Pushing people to have marital counseling is in my opinion his way of being a participant.
My boyfreind now husband did many many things for my family remolded a house for my mother so she get out of a abusive marriage. These are things you do for people you love not to use like a banking system for when you get caught doing heinous acts. It's almost like Josh did all things in case he needed rescue later!!!!

I am from the mid-west currently living in Texas. I have had an impossible time finding a church. It is usually a 1 and done. I did find a church for about 2 years. It was 2 hours away. That was okay the 80 year old pastor never offended me. He had to retire and that ended my days there.

Do you recall the Family Integrated Church movement? Vision Forum? They would push their way into churches like this just as the IBLP has done using Waller. In my area some are fans of Hyles Anderson College--a similar pandora's box

I was going to say, if they are a Baptist church (not IFB), the congregation can stand up against this. However, now that I know that there are IBLP members among the deacon body, there’s not a chance… The ones that don’t like it, just need to leave, unfortunately.

Had NO IDEA they were at this church. It had been empty for a few years and then reopened as a church again which I didn’t expect because from the outside it looks sorta run down. Anyway it’s pretty weird knowing IBLP is in my area. It might have a FTW address but it’s very nearly at the border of the city. At the rate the DFW area is growing it’s my guess that they wanted to get sunk into the area as the population grows and they can try to grow their numbers. There’s no shortage of Baptist churches in the area so it’s not a sure thing. Pretty sure there’s a Bible church just about a quarter of a mile down the road.

The funny thing to me is that this Baptist pastor is super invasive with following up on people's sins but would loudly condemn Catholics and others for practicing private confession because, according to most protestants, forgiveness is supposed to be between you and God. Seems weirdly contradictory to me. At least with private confession you choose to go along with what and how much to disclose.

My stepdaughter belonged to the mainstream Mormon church and the Bishops regularly called in couples to discuss what was going on in their private lives. They would also call in young children and teenagers to counsel them on what was wicked and sinful behavior.And this continues to this very day.

I don’t see a scenario where his “background” isn’t just background of the media attention and not of Mike Keller. The things he preached are things they all believe already. It’s part the whole IBLP fabric. Their mistake, in their view, was probably letting it be viewed publicly. So they’ll be talking about future protections to keep their church from being “attacked”.
