I’m new to the company I feel they need to make a video on how to work ur tablet step by step and how to make sure you complete every step before moving onto the next task. For example they don’t want us to use our phones but they want us to go to pilot of flying jay and there no app or I haven’t been able to find one yet I’m sure as time goes along it will be better
My tablet is down 6-20-20.,,,
But Schneider is working with me to fix the issue. 👍
Bulk division needs a find your trailer feature. It would be beneficial for Hazmat form, zdd form, and other bulk forms to be in one easy to find location. Bulk specific trailer defect report form needs an "other" box so that drivers can add defects not listed in standard sections. Navigation bypassing toll booths by rerouting our rigs to travel country roads, small towns, and high elevation routes will save on toll costs, however the result is late arrivals, lane encroachments, increased wildlife interactions, and in winter the road crews are busy clearing interstates and minor roads are more dangerous to us as drivers than in the best of weather. A substantial improvement in navigation software would be the single most productive improvement for Schneider. Nothing we do is worth risking ourselves or others. A fitness machine at the Coraopolis OC would also be a great improvement. Schneider is a fantastic company to be a part of in part because drivers can speak their minds without fear of retaliation. (Subliminal message in that last statement).
The workflow app and tablet has been a headache for me. If you come to Schneider not as their student, they will not take time to step by step teach you based on your route how to input info in your tablet. They navigation can't keep up with road construction detours and it lag behind on your turns and it say take this highway but doesn't say north or south...in a nutshell you have to use your drive time figuring out manually your directions and it sucks because the atlas for truckers isn't detailed enough to plan your route wisely. Each time the JILL says turn left when I need to turn right or it takes me down streets for cars ony. I feel I'm bring set up for failure. Now my OC driver hrlp said ask another driver hw to work the tablet and workflow...duh!!! Thats dumb af because each driver has their on routes their time isn't available for teching and the only drivers I see id drivers of other companies in pasing as i drop or pick up a trailer. On Schneider yards other drivers curtain closed so I'm not about to knock on someones window like can you teach me. My TE was busy trying to drop his loads and did not let me input info step by step for several times in a row to learn it or if I'm uncoupling he is doing the workflow so I'm not in cab to see what to do...I'm not going to quit, I'm not a quitter so I'll keep driving and half doing paperwork workflow and freakin let them figure it OUT! FIRE ME BUT I WON'T QUIT!

I have found that the tablets navigation system is a distraction for drivers when you have to keep looking down to punch a little square to bring up the map every few seconds.
If there is any one item in Schneider's arsenal of technology that needs driver feedback, it is this tablet. Perhaps a detailed survey could go out to all Schneider drivers that use this device daily for driver detailed feedback. A survey that has open comment sections with unlimited space for drivers to share their experiences both positive and negative? We are Schneider!

Its horribe the navigation is too...its not open to real remarks etc everything is a drop down selection to limited options when a few bar code scans added from customers would be better if there was a software like that available to put in that extra or special number or event. Must add Schneider acronyms are too many and some just suck like whats an MT only to find out it meant Empty Trailer WOW sounds like someone from a street gang came u with tha!
Are these tablets used in the tanker division?
Man the more I see about this company the more I can’t wait to get cycled back so I can hire on here. I kinda hate the Qualcomm, I been saying since day one that we should have a tablet instead.

My family member was sent home while in training after 8 days because he failed the test to use this tablet.😢 now he has $2400 in debt. This sucks especially when people hit trailers and are still there to continue training. 😢

How does one get on a Walmart Dedicated acc. I’m a new driver and I honestly would like to haul for Walmart. Sounds cool.
you need to have at least 2years and try to find a temp trucking company that works with Walmart that way Walmart can have somewhat of a knowing of you and maybe then get on a Walmart dedicated by Walmart itself

Tablets are so great it has to be rebooted twice a day.
These things are ok but, complicated. I've never seen a glitchier tablet. They didn't even send the right charger with us I had to buy one.
The tablets are garbage, and if Schneider actually cared about their drivers, they'd take the time to get feedback from them.
So what’s the ELD system now?? you on tablets so that means you left Qualcomm.. what is it now?
These tablets have everything you would possibly need! Btw so easy to use and very helpful.

@@mistertitus6814 I was asking because even if it was a Tablet the ELD program would still be there. I was just wondering what is the said program now... EXAMPLE: You can have a Tablet and have PeopleNet on it... or Geotab, or Keep Trucking, or Big Road ELD, Transflo... This is what I was wondering.

That's the only thing about driving for big companies like that JB Hunt Snyder you got to drive in a different truck every day and people are sick and dirty and filthy and you got to deal with all that crap. 👎😬
Hi Thomas, most of our drivers are assigned to the same truck for many months or even years and operate that truck only during that time.
I have been with Schneider for over 20 years, after my 2nd year I received a new truck. Kept that truck until time for a new one. I was only driver.
We went to Carlisle Pennsylvanian we drove long way we found that they are races not respect and no training and they check every one from Asia they will kicked him out and the teacher who gave us training he said I will give u surprise at the end of week this happened when he asking me where I am from
