This was a fun video to make and edit. Mike and I had a gr8 time and we each found some interesting relics. You can find Mike's RUclips channel here: www.youtube.com/@gr8finds196
Is it possible that SaBo hit it's target? Would that explain the broken scattered gun parts to dropped 3 ringers? All depends on how you look at it. History uncovered
very interesting finds . I have been a fan for many years now , first RUclips video I ever watched am now a 67 year old grandma that still loves your adventures !
“That’s a kids toy.” You had Mike for a second. The look in his face was priceless, then he realized Uncle Chiggles is a prankster. He’s on to you now. 😂
Enjoying your Playlists, and re-watching a few. There's always something I've missed, or maybe something I understand a little better after watching a few (couple hundred?) of your adventures. Thanks, Professor.
He doesn't get anywhere as excited as Daisy does, but it's nice to see people get that way nonetheless over simple things they uncover. Nice finds to both of you.
Awesome. It’s fun watching the two of you together. I’m in your area also. My metal detector is still waiting for me to take it outside for the first time.
Beau, Mike is a keeper, he is one enthused guy, and a very nice guy like yourself. Beau, you actually got me to buy some civil war bullets off of E - bay, and you taught me what to look for. Keep up the good work Beau, and God bless!
I can't believe you got him twice with the toy gun thing. Mikeeeeeeeee, you must know the ways of the Chigg by now. Nice find man, esp. cuz its brass..
My wife just got me a Garrett 400 ace and I set it up the other day, I live in Falling-waters, so I’m gonna try around my yard first and I have some property on the jig, you have been immensely helpful and I really do enjoy watching your videos. Thank you and good hunting.
I started with a Garrett Ace400 and Beau signed the box for me at a Meet and Greet at the shop where I bought it. It has been a great machine and I found a lot with it. Good Luck and Happy Hunting. One of my first finds was a 9 ct gold pendant a foot down in the sand at a Toronto Beach and a $15,000 Cartier gold and diamond bracelet, albeit a copy :>D
Fished that creek around Burnside Bridge once and caught some nice smallmouth Bass. Some nice finds you two and enjoyed watching as always, thank you. 👍
Chigg, I happened to be watching another video after yours (American Battlefield Trust-Vicksburg 160th anniversary.) At 2:05 minutes in there is a Handheld Grooming Tool pictured in a case that has piece of iron with teeth. Looks like garden tool of today but it is next to other grooming tools. Thought you might want to know.
Have you ever been down near Bull Falls, there is an old town along the tracks that's not there anymore. I think it was called Shenandoah City and there are remnants of an old dam that diverted water to the banks and they had water powered factories that got wiped out by floods. There is also the island on the other side of the river.
Maybe a tip I don’t know if it works for iron your digging out of the ground but when I come across Rusty tools that I’ve picked up, I soak them and use motor oil six months to a year later they come out looking pretty decent. Great video as always .
It looked like you two were having some fun. Of course, it's always fun to see you pull Mike's chain. For Mikes's info, gilt is considered a heavier layer than plate. Where did you learn so much about farm equipment? I'm always amazed (shouldn't be) when you can identify an item like that spring. Thanks for a longer adventure. Of course, you know they are never long enough for me! 😊
They prevent steel to steel contact up the barrels.Sabots peel away on exiting the barrel they allow small calibre projectiles to be fired from larger guns with larger charges. Copper bands used to on shells made of steel to engage the rifling are called firing bands.
Could that horseshoe have been an Ox shoe? I found one before and mentioned in my video it was a broken horseshoe and was told Ox Shoe. Cool finds. Happy digging! 👍
Sab-ot or sab-oh is the same as the Scots refer to a joint of meat as jig-ot which is derived from the French jig-oh. Y'gotta love how languages morph over time and geographic distance. Very kule.
After discovering the channel a couple weeks ago, and binging all of the content I can, I think I want to give this hobby a try. Anyone know of a group in the Eastern Panhandle region of WV or close-ish by that would be willing to show a newbie the ropes? Or does anyone have any good suggestions on where to start?
No much. Just waiting until the old guy "moves on" and then the estate will have to take care of it if they want to sell the property without a lawsuit attached.

Ching, if your finding Trigger Guards you need to hit that field hard
When he finds something, Mike is cute & funny just like a little boy at Christmas getting the best gift he’s ever gotten.

Bless his heart, he is like a kid in a candy shop.

Really enjoy how excited Mike gets on his finds.

Poor Mike... Chig you would be in trouble if Mike digs up a gold bar... he would have a heart attach....LoL
You talking about how to pronounce "Sabot," now I've got the Mills Brothers song "You say PoTAYto, I say poTAHto" stuck in my head, lol, thanks Chigg.

4:23 PTO Connector. I've broken a couple on my old 30's Super C Farmall. Looks very similar.
Nice one chig , appreciate the amount of content 👍

Great video quality and finds Chig!
Good finds gigglers! I enjoyed! Good luck! Rk.
The comb thing looks like a farming implement adjuster of some sort.

Great Historical finds guys congrats thanks for taking us along on the hunt
Love your channel, dude. I've been watching for a few years. You've got great energy, and your adventures are great fun to tag along with.

GOOD HUNTING FROM SCOTLAND AND A BIG THANKS FOR THE VID 😮. 😊
My great Grandfather was in the Union army during the civil war and actually fought at Antietam...He was in the heavy artillery.
Mike sabot was from Union Heavy Artillery. Maybe your Gf fired it.
Always nice to see a new Chigg video, hope you can get into some more Indian relics soon!
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
That sure was some nice treasure today.
Best team on RUclips!!!
Could that horseshoe have been an Ox shoe? I found one before and mentioned in my video it was a broken horseshoe and was told Ox Shoe. Cool finds. Happy digging! 👍
Ox shoes look different and have a significant widening on one end. A quick Google will show you the difference.
@@aquachigger thanks. Mine was definitely an Ox shoe. I’ll keep binge watching your videos. Good luck 🍀
Like Dawn, you were the first person I ever saw on RUclips, and I've been hooked ever since. Keep up the great work and videos 👍👍

Great finds, thanks Chigg
Hey Chigg and Mike.
Mikey can spy those snow bringing chemtrails a mile away! 👀
Nice hunt 👍👍❤️

Have you heard of an Elsanor shot it was a handheld gun the Confederates had and shot a crude couple pound shot. They are in the river.
Never heard of it. Where in what river?
Very cool
Tresures MOOooorrrre!!!; )
Chigg, whats happening with access to your property? Any luck in court or have you given up after hearing what legal fees could cost you as a minimum?
No much. Just waiting until the old guy "moves on" and then the estate will have to take care of it if they want to sell the property without a lawsuit attached.
@aquachigger I was referring to the chinese saying .obviously, you didn't get it...took my comment down and reported "hateful".
Where have you been? I have seen very many videos lately. I love your videos
I've been posting 5 videos a week for a while now.
Somehow I’ve been missing them. Sorry
Chig do you ever make knives out of the old iron you find? I was just curious I’m sure like that old ax would make a nice knife.
We still say sabot!
It's hard to imagine removing and leaving those musket parts in the field.
Some Vaseline on those hands Chigg, then rinse under hot water and rub it in, will do wonders. Your hands look so chapped and painful 😬☹️❤️
10:33 is where I’m at I’ll be back in a bit
Okay I understand that powder is in the shell but how does it detonated, is there a fuse that is lit or does it explode on impact with a detonator?
What machine is your friend Mike using Chigg? Is it the minelab xterra pro?
I may be wrong, but I think that's part of an ox shoe, not a horseshoe.
👍
YES!! 🍿😊👍
It would be like calling a Chevrolet a Chev-ro-let
What the hell happened to the back of your hand Chig?
Briars....
I started to say telegraph wire because of the gauge.
Does anyone know if mike has a channel?
Chigg; The audio for this video not so good; a little distorted; sounds like gain is too high...
33rd like, good afternoon, chigg
nice flat button
spring off a tedder
Back of the button probably says made in china
when ur in the USA why do u always say this is from the american civil war. why not just say the civil war
